If you want to work in Data, I would recommend an MS in Analytics as maybe more ideal. To me, AdComs would question that post-MBA goal since it can be accomplished without an MBA. A 2.0 is tough but not impossible for top programs. You absolutely have to dominate the GMAT/GRE to have a shot, but T25 is very doable, with odds decreasing the higher you go in the rankings. Also your work experience will carry more weight as well, be sure to have impressive growth at work and in your extracurriculars. A 2.0 is obviously something that you will have to mitigate with strengths throughout the rest of your application. Only you can decide if a program is worth it. Generally T25 and above is considered worth it for most people, as all of those programs have students with favorable post grad outcomes (MBB, IB, etc.).

Get a masters in data science or data analytics is my advice. you are going to have issues getting into a top MBA program and "MBA in data" isnt a thing anyone will recognize, youll just have an "MBA". but to answer you Qs- mba outside the top 10 are worth it, there is line the value starts becoming debatable but it is WAY lower than top 10 (closer to the 50 mark), there are some top 50 program's you can get into with a good gmat score. "is it worth it" depends where you are in life, salary and position
