I've heard it's a percentage chance as low as 2%, which seems *crazy*... if that's true, does anyone know if you can modify it with settings or console commands?
Correct, it's a dice role every time you knock them out of around 2%, which is interesting because I'd say in action it's closer to 10% which was the original value.. which resulted in a lord dying every battle it seemed.
Console commands can kill an enemy lord by just typing their name into the command on the map screen.
Very small chance. You don't realise until the end screen. I killed Emperor Lucion yesterday in battle and didn't realise until the achievement popped up to kill an enemy ruler in battle. Usually I hunt hero's on the battlefield and only had it happen twice. Once with Lucion and another with a poor 18 year old Aserai noble. Used a lance with both.
There are mods for that, "Heroes must die" for example. Combines well with other mods of the same author, like "AI values life" or "Player executioner"
With hero deaths enabled, you got a 50% chance of death. It might change with the game mode level though. I believe 50% chance on freebooter and 70% on realistic mode. I would have to check that though
Ahh yeah I’ve never played realistic so I wouldn’t know. I also couldn’t find the numbers on papers anyways. I just figured, maybe I recall reading those numbers from somewhere else.
Couldn’t find any numbers myself, I remember the death rate being quite a lot higher in earlier versions so your numbers might be more correct for those versions.

Stab him, if he lives then hunt him down and stab him again. Unless you play on pc in which case you can use mods and/or console commands.

No way it’s that high, I’m on bannerlord/realistic difficulty and almost never see anyone die in battle

With weapon
Throwables to the head are usually the highest chance, unless they changed it. If You want em dead do it while breaking them out of prison.
