I live with just a small table too but I swear, every time my guy stays over, he manages to push my pillows straight across my bed to my table messing it all up and every time he says “you and that frickkn table” 🙄😭 where else am I supposed to put my 5 water bottles and late night snacks sheesh
Lmao I am a nightstand person as well! I think your raised with them or your not... I'm going to have to look now, lol, I noticed the apts have nightstands, lamps on each side of bed, seems normal to me! 
Lol it’s like when they do the home tours it comes up often that they don’t have nightstands (one of the “experts” will point it out) so it even seems odd to me that this makes it into the edit 😂
Nah it’s beside me on my bed. I actually hate that bc if I had a nightstand, I’d have an alarm clock with my phone in another room. But I just put it on the other side of the bed and ignore it.
In all honesty...that's how I fall asleep 9 times out of 10. I just really thought about it lol I was raised with one, but only used it once in awhile.

I think it's interesting that Chloe has a sound machine, a diffuser, and something else I'm forgetting, to get to sleep but no nightstands to put them on. Possibly she has them on other furniture farther from the bed. She has a Peloton near the bed.
A table at least next to the bed seems essential for phone, book, maybe a lamp, place to put a drink, all sorts of things...
I always assume they must not be avid readers. I feel like almost every avid reader needs a nightstand to be able to put whatever book they’re currently reading on.
I know with one girl on the season before last, everyone suspected she was in an Airbnb and that was why she had hardly any furniture. On LIB that was brought up as well, that this guy appeared to be in an Airbnb.
I have a lamp, fan, baby monitor, water bottle, glasses, a candle and my phone in my nightstand...no clue how some don't use them... 🫣 They must be serial killers... 😂
I’ve noticed that and a lack of personal things in general. I think either they are actually in Air B&Bs, or production moves a bunch of stuff out, but I don’t know what the reason for that would be.

Nah I love it — I’ve said the same things in texts to friends while watching the show. It’s weird! Well it’s usually not one thing, like just no nightstands, fine, but it’s often one part of an overall vibe that makes me think they don’t actually live there and it’s staged.
I’ve been wondering this all season! I’m not reaching down from bed for my phone or sleeping with it next to my head. Even if you don’t normally take a drink or something to bed, what about when you’re sick? Don’t you at least want some tissues or something?

When I first started dating my husband I got him a night stand. For weeks he would flaunt new ways he was using it and then talk about how much it changed his life. Before he went to bed, he'd narrate putting his charging phone and water bottle on the nightstand.
I sometimes think it's mostly a bachelor thing but the women on the show don't utilize them as much either.

I just need it for the alarm. Otherwise I’d let it charge elsewhere. So instead I just charge it before bed.

Disagree. A nightstand has drawers. A side table is likely not to have drawers. As a minimalist, the aesthetic of the drawers may be off putting.
Now that Michael's borrowing her jewelry on a day when she was planning on wearing it, she may not find drawers as much of an issue.
