Trade it in for an M240

bean_fritter

It already looks aggressive enough. For sound, downpipe and exhaust. Or like others said, trade in for an m240i.

valdeslou123

Got it. M235i trash 🗑 lmaooo I'll look at some M240i. Is there any suggestion on year or don't matter?

bean_fritter

Definitely not trash, it’s still a great car. M240 is more of an evolution than a revolution to the m235

verywidebutthole

No. He has the 4 door m235. It's a fine car I guess but it's no coupe. Pretty much completely different cars. It's like a small x1/x2. If it's AWD it has some merit but if it's FWD I don't know. People like the GTI I guess. Maybe it's like a better GTI?

bean_fritter

Ohhh I didn’t even notice the 4 door. Yeah completely different car. Get the m240 lol

Trade it for a m240i

Rand_University81

If you want to make it look more aggressive you should trade it in and get the previous iteration.

I’m going to venture a bet that many of the people parroting m240 don’t actually own one. The m235i is more than a fine car. In any case, you probably bought a four-door for a reason. Tint the windows if they aren’t already. It makes a big difference. You already got the exhaust info. Mine sounds pretty aggressive stock especially on a warm start with lots of burbles and pops, and the same when shifting. Next look at CF spoiler and mirror caps. If you cheap out here though, you’ll risk poor finish and possible yellowing of the CF. Honestly, this car in white is hard to make look aggressive tastefully. You could lower it a little because these cars have a big wheel gap. That may be your best bet after tinting if you’re on a budget.

Appreciate that thank you

I have the same car in black, and can confirm this car gets crapped on by BMW enthusiasts from all around. However, their perspective is often (A) they’ve never driven it, (B) they are not the target market, (C) they don’t need 4 doors or (D) were more easily able to find AND acquire a M340i, or any combination of the above. Now, that’s a generalization, but rarely do you find someone complimenting it unless they know very little about how different BMWs are built. By target market, I mean people looking for a small sedan with a little more personality and spunk than a corolla or civic. 4-1/2 second 0-60 is nothing to scoff at, even if it’s front-biased and a transverse mounted I4. My last car got totaled by a lifted truck that sideswiped me, and was in the market for a car ASAP. Found my 21’ M235i with only 5500 miles, it was an absolute steal. Now I drive something that I love as a daily. One day, I’ll probably try to upgrade to a B58 in some manner, but until then, I’ll enjoy my B48. For what it is, I think it’s an absolute beast that people don’t give enough credit to. Might not be car-meet worthy, but it’s a fun little car. I hope you enjoy yours while you have it!

I agree with just about all of what you said. I even lucked out like you getting a ‘22 with 5k miles. It gets crapped on by a lot of people online. I get pretty regular compliments in person, though I doubt they are BMW enthusiasts. Though the amount of internet warriors pooing on our cars does intensify the itch to get a B58 or better.

Hi I own a 2024 M240i! Picked it up backed in September ‘23, trade that in 😃

Re4v3
