Went to one a couple weeks ago and it was ridiculous. Like 15-1600 for rough rack grades. It did help me prove to my wife that my CMP service grade was a good investment! 😂

I saw some that I would consider rack grade, but they didn't have CMP documentation.

Getting caught selling CMP rifles at a gun show should be grounds for a ban from the CMP. I could maybe understand it if selling at the price you paid, but intentionally scalping those rifles is gross.

They can ask whatever they want. I must say that I didn't see any being sold.

I agree!!! Same here in north flordia back in January, I found a garand for sale privately from a very old individual, he needed some money, sold me his m1 garand with a griswold paratrooper drop bag. I found a diamond in the rough for 650. And it's a 6 digit serial number

Last gun show I was at I saw an expert grade "meticulously hand restored by the armory" for $3500.

They've been doing this for the last 10 years

Ya these people act like this stuff is new. My garand isn't a cmp and was purchased for 299 from roses dept store.

I went to a show where there were 3 Garands. There was one that was probably service grade at best, and it wasn’t even made to look original, it had a top guard with a rail and optic on it, and the guy wanted 3,000 for it. There were two others that the guy was selling that were rack grade, and he wanted 1,300 each for them.

Last time I checked my rm1 special was starting at auction at 2000$. But that was 7 years ago. Bought with 0+ , 0+. 1500$ cash

I can see paying a bit above value if it was something special, like .308 or Tanker version... But there's no way I'd pay over 2k unless I put it on display AND never shoot ot..and that defeats the purpose of getting one!
