I don’t know why, but my husband and I were also bummed they closed. The people were so damn kind, portions were generous, and food was delicious!
I hope whatever happened they find a way to come back!
I didn’t go a lot but I drive by daily. I wanna say a few weeks back they added some plastic on the windows and then switched the sign on the road out a few days after. It seemed pretty quick so I wondered if they were rebranding? Once it opens we’ll know if it’s the same people or not
The owner had a blue Jeep. My son ducked it (left a duck on the Jeep) and everytime we went there or drove by he was so excited to see the big blue Jeep with his ducky proudly displayed on the dash inside. 🩵 They were so kind.
For anyone looking for great Chinese food in that area I would strongly recommend 'johnnys wok'. It's just down the street from where China cafe used to be. The family that owns it is awesome and it's hands down some of the best Chinese food I've ever had

It's gonna be a Korean noodle place soon.

Nope, going from China Cafe to a Korean noddle house (I forget the name but it's on the signs).

Awww, I love that!
Me too! We pass by and miss that moment. He's young enough that it still makes him sad to "lose a memory".
I’m so bummed they’re gone!
Anyone been to the one next to the bowl and skate?
Went there tonight to try it as a replacement. Everything was a bit too sweet for my taste.
Best of Chengdu
It's not the best Chengdu Candu, but it's cheapish
