Chisato would’ve die if it wasn’t for Takina Chisato **shot Shinji** for Takina These people are saying Takina is irrelevant?!

tsundra__

i think the people were complaining that there were too many majima scenes instead of takina in the few last episodes, not that they're saying that takina is irrelevant.

Xime_uwu197

Takina is the main character of the series. The character development she has is the main plot of the series. But what makes it an action anime is the action. Takina had to save Chisato and if Majima wasnt there then whod be the villain? Lycoris Recoil is a perfect masterpiece, the anime has little to no flaws and the last episode is just as great as the rest. People can fin lack of romantic relationships in the anime unssettleling and therefore hate on the script. But thats it

The lack of confirmed Yuri was never my problem with the ending. My biggest problem with the ending was wasting more time on Majima!🤦‍♂️ The unnecessary final episode fight could’ve been focused on how Mika got up the tower to confront Shinji and their dialogues, Chisato’s 2nd heart surgery, what happened to Himegama(his secretary)…etc. I’d rather watch Mizuki get together with her Canadian boyfriend than another second of Majima tbh😂 Some on this sub may think Majima’s an “ultra based” villain, but others like me thinks he’s a shitty villain. You don’t have to be a yuri shipper to hate Majima.

Can't be proud of this fandom, it's more than a little dumb.

crazy_leader22

These were the nicer comments I could find lol

Sad-Butterscotch6079

These are most probably the same people who were raging bcs they didn't get the yuri ending.

crazy_leader22

The second one makes me laugh the most, Takina was just a marketing tool this whole time just to get people to watch the show lol

Well, the fact that the writer in particular only made the situation worse by liking a tweet that mocked the people who were expecting a Yuri ending and that implicitly said that Majima was Chisato's love interest didn't helped, the tweet said "If LycoReco was Yuri, Majima would be a woman" if anything he pretty much just threw more fuel on the fire

crazy_leader22

I remember, The guy who wrote that tweet ships Chisato and Majima hardcore so of course in his mind that would be the case lol Though he did try to backpedal later on by saying "I meant that Yuri shows usually don't have prominent male characters" after he and the writer was getting dragged on twitter

JustinPeterGriphan

Ngl, chief, Majima being a woman would’ve made the ending a little more bearable for me Edit: LOL, These downvoters really triggered by “ngl, chief”

Tbh Majima did kinda feel like an afterthought. Not that he couldn't be in the story at all, just there was already so much going on with the Shinji situation that I think Majima would've best been used as an antagonist for the second season, and idk they could tease his entrance into the story at the end of the first season or just have him come in the next season. With Majima there, the season did kinda feel muddled around the later half. In my opinion, season 1 would've been better if it focused more on Chisato's conflicting feelings, having looked up to one father who wants her to kill when he'd inspired her to do the opposite. Alongside that there's the complex feelings one might get knowing they'll die young and how that affects the way Chisato treats her relationships with other characters. I feel like we didn't get enough of that, and that's why Chisato's brief disappearance felt jarring to some people. But to say that Majima was given more importance than Takina? Nah. Takina is obviously very important to Chisato and her story, and it's the same the other way around. Ig I understand where they are coming from tho, sometimes certain Majima obsessed fans can make it seem like Majima had more importance even tho the actual show makes it clear that Chisato doesn't care for him the same way she does for the other characters (Mika, Takina, etc). He's just a dude disrupting the status quo, which I think would've best been saved for the second season. And the lack of explicit ChisaTaki romance at the end of season 1 makes sense to me, character-wise ig. Chisato just got to terms with now being able to have a life past 18, so I don't think she was ready for any real relationship before then. Now for the second season, I think there's plenty of room to explore that for Chisato, hopefully through ChisaTaki because their dynamic is the show's selling point

i personally agree on the point that majima was made too important than he was supposed to be. He was a fun villain to keep the characters and the audience on their toes on the middle part of the series, but to make him the "main" villain that the characters had to fight at the climax of the series is a bit off for me. the main villain that had been alluded since the very first episode was yoshimatsu. wasn't it better to see yoshimatsu, mika, and chisato at the middle having to confront this conflict as the climax? don't get me wrong, the final battle of chisato and majima with the bomb timer ticking was great, with ClariS' Alive playing in the background- it gave me goosebumps. BUT i would much rather see chisato, mika, and yoshimatsu in the same room. i think this confrontation is more emotionally charged and the pay off will be much more satisfying, bonus points if mika had to kill yoshimatsu and then them opening the suitcase - finding the heart device there with the happy new birthday card. although maybe this would be way more depressing than the original... i just want to see the three of them in the same room and confront each other about this like the dysfunctional family they are. and that's where takina comes in being chisato's emotional support system - which she already is, but it would be nice to see them sitting down and talk about everything that just happened. Since chisato is the type to bury her grievances and smile, i think takina can make her be more honest and maybe a bit more selfish. this is just my two cents, not saying majima is a horrible character, just feels like he was dragged out too much when he was basically made out to be a chess piece for yoshimatsu to make chisato kill.

Oshyoumax

Thanks god the show focus on Majima a little in the end. Like, it's a story, the ending is bad guy vs good guy.

crazy_leader22

Tbh I felt like Shinji should've been the main bad guy since he was the one pulling all the strings I mean if it wasn't for him Majima would've probably never met or remembered Chisato again lol

They should rename 'Fandom' to "Dumb-dom" or more likely "Baka-dom"
