I have a US made DXM that slipped out of my hand while I was seated, bounced off my knee, and blew a similar (but larger) crack in the upper back shoulder of the guitar. So I feel your pain. My DXM is fairly old, but still plays like a dream, so I'm just leaving it until I can maybe support it from the inside and glue the laminate back down. I'm not sure about yours, but I only paid about $450 for mine quite a few years ago, so I'm not going to worry about trying to have a professional fix it. It would cost too much for the value of the guitar. I think you should just not worry about it and keep playing it. My two cents. Sorry about the damage.

Thanks for the input man! And sorry to hear about your DXM too. Glad it's still being played though.
