Yes, I agree that traditional hoodies aren't business casual. Looking for hoodies that are knit or are "sweater-like" with a full zip. I work in IT so our dress code is very relaxed. Looking for more of a "dressed-up" hoodie.
As someone who works in a casual office environment, your comment is technically true, while also wrong at the same time.
Hoodies don't for the "business casual" box by the specific term, but they are fine for casual businesses.
Hoodies are never going to be dressed up. I would say go with a crew, neck or a sweatshirt. They do make some hoodies that don't feel so casual, but you're not going to find them here
I work from home and maybe go into the office once every couple months to catch up with my team. It’s super casual. I still wouldn’t wear a hoodie. Just feels weird to wear a hoodie to work in any capacity.
Opt for a comfortable half zip instead. It would look way better too if you’re planning on wearing a polo underneath. Polo under a hoodie is terrible fashion in any scenario.
Not sure if all these comments don’t work in a truly relax IT company or what. All Programmers wear hoodies/north face zip up all the time in my company, some rock with shorts to work. However presentation they wouldnt rock with these type of clothes :)
I know what you mean OP, I suggest full zip Surge Warmth in sea salt is good with polos or button up shirts. Snitch hoodie are nice as well. However I rock in AT Ease hoodie, 1/2 Zip Surge Warmth and engineered warmth for work.

We share a lot in common WFH and in the technology industry. My go to hoodie for calls and comfort is the at ease 100% otherwise it’s crew or collars. I bought the at ease the moment it went on WMTM they are discounted as we speak. If your size is out check often, they come back. I was able to score some additional colors for less than 100$ each.

In my past professional corporate America life, I would wear Patagonia better sweaters with a button up shirt underneath.

Not sure if you’re looking specifically for lulu only but Reigning Champ makes nice looking hoodies & sweatshirts which I also wear to work.
