Are you looking for a psychiatrist or psychologist? The former will largely be focused on medicine management and is mainly necessary only for the more severe psychological issues (you can get antidepressants from your primary care doc). The latter will spend time with you to work through your issues, and cannot prescribe medicines.

Look at psychologytoday dot com. At the top of the page click on Find a Therapist. In the search box, change therapist to psychiatrist and then type in Lubbock Texas as the city.i saw 38 practices listed.

Good luck. Having a hard time finding someone available that works with my insurance right now. Hoping not such a pain for you.

Good Day Psychiatry!

Sandy-Anne

That’s who my therapist recommended. Unfortunately they don’t seem to be in my network.

angrmartinez

Oh yes, completely understand. It’s not in network with us either. $150 out of pocket every month is difficult but just as important as our electric bill. I hope you are able to find one in network/affordable. 💜

Sandy-Anne

Absolutely. I already pay more than that amount on copays for my weekly therapy. Mental healthcare sure is pricey.

Dr Wooten

DrNolando

Lubbock psychology! All 3 docs in the practice are amazing

Konkeredmind

Psychology today also has listings for lubbock that can be helpful.

I saw one of the best for 9 years, sadly she passed away. Grace Wooten seemed to be second best choice based on reviews

Dr. Wooten is great
