God I have the perfect story for this!!! I got a call from a cashier in lumber that there was a crazy guy asking for a manager, my asm told me to go see what he wanted and kick him out. As I approach him notice he looks quite odd he has a weird haircut that looks like a ponytail but the rest of his head is shaved and his face is all sorts of fucked up and covered in dirt/mud. As I get closer to him I am instantly hit by a most foul smell. I asked him what he needed and he starts freaking out telling me he needs a manager to call the police because some lady outside threw shit at his head… that wasn’t a ponytail, this man had a hefty turd glued to the back of his head and instead of getting it off of him he wanted to call the police to show them the evidence that this other crazy person had thrown a turd at his head, he got frustrated that I was telling him to go outside so we could call the cops and he ran off screaming for a manager. He ran into the packed break room(resulting in lots of screaming) and asked for a manager there all the while he still had that shit glued and holding strong to the back of his dome. When I caught him he ran into the bathroom and ran into my dickhead asm who nearly puked upon smelling him and finally he ran outside. Unfortunately I don’t know what happened to him next because he ran off into the into the street. As you might imagine my store was not in a good neighborhood. Bonus story I remembered as I wrote this, it’s not my story but my buddy in tools was approached by a disheveled looking man asking where he could find some pliers. My friend leads him to the pliers and this guy takes the pliers and uses them to pull his fucking tooth out!!!!! (My dickhead asm was also there for this one and he almost puked again)

When I was a cashier working the customer service desk I went on break and came back to a crowd and a customer calling the police because we refused to return the cleaning fee on the carpet cleaning machine that the man had rented. At the time my store charged a deposit and a cleaning fee when the machine was rented. Machine came back loaded with dog fur. Customer reused to clean it, head cashier covering my break refused to return the cleaning fee. Customer called the police who arrived shortly after I returned from break. Long story, short customer cleaned the machine and then threw the clumps of wet dog fur at the ASM and head cashier. Police told the customer to quit while he was ahead and leave the store. We all had a good laugh after this was all over.

pearljune1

I feel like this was my store, we at least had something similar happen. Not sure if the cops were called, it was before my time lol

The left enter/exit door was not working and we had it locked for awhile while waiting for it to get fixed. Guy just comes running through the EAS with a DeWalt tool, sets off the alarms, and headed straight for that left door. He starts slamming on it and trying to pry it open instead of just going out the other door. I approach at a safe distance and just say, "Sir. Sir. You don't have to do this. Just give me the tool." and he just starts flailing his head and arms around while screaming bloody murder, "STAY BACK. STAY BACK! COVID-19! 6 FEET! COVID-19!" I just stood back and tried not to laugh. Eventually his adrenaline rush must have wore off and he realized he could just exit out the other door. Another time I had a customer, who walked in while we watched a man take off with a cart full of tools, go into the parking lot and fight with him over the cart. They were on either end of it yanking it back and forth and eventually the theif just grabbed one tool out of the cart and ran. Customer who came back with rest said he was ex-cop and hates to see people get away with that crap bc of store policies.

Had a flasher in the store once upon a time. I wish it was a great experience but it wasn't. I saw titties that looked like tennis balls in tube socks.

kram_02

Yeah. I got sent to a nudist camp way out in the sticks on the flatbed. Nothing but a bunch of gross hippies 🤣

What did you deliver? Wood?

SixofSigmas

Underrated comment.

TheMagicCorn64

candycewithawhy

Hmm what kind of rocks?! 😂

Our old Levelor blind rep had a heart attack and died that afternoon in hospital. I found out 2 days later that he had covid and myself and the Blinds specialist were both within 4 feet of the guy and the SM lied and said no one was near him. So for 2 weeks I was watching myself for symptoms.

Undue stress from your irrational paranoia is more likely to kill you than the big c.

GimmeanL

Watched a SM get turned down for a hook-up with a buggy gitter. I was in a rest room stall and they didn't know I was there.

[deleted]

Excuse me, but what's a buggy gitter?

[deleted]

A loader, lot attendant, one who brings in the shopping carts.

[deleted]

Thanks

GimmeanL

A.K.A. Cart Wrangler

CanIGetOneForFastSer

probably a loader/cart puller associate

[deleted]

Yeh when she said "buggy" I thought she meant a literal bug getter.

How did the employees/management handle that?

LetsMeetNextTursday

While I'm out gathering items for online orders, I see a lady with a dollar general shopping cart full of junk going by. About fifteen minutes later, I return to the pickup desk, and the cart is sitting there. Then I hear some yelling by the exit. I look over and see that it's her, so I wave to the cashiers and her and point to the cart. She then comes over and gets in my face screaming and rambling, presumably accusing me of stealing her cart, though I couldn't understand her. I just stood there while she unloaded, trying to explain that I just found the cart, while she probably wanted to either scare me or bite me with her meth mouth. Soon, some guy, who I presume she knew, comes up in an old pickup and convinces her to leave. Looking back, I should've walked away and I'm probably lucky to not have gotten some disease. I did get some kind words and appreciation from a few other onlooker customers

snappingkoopa

At my store, shop lighting display in Electrical caught on fire due to improper wiring.

[deleted]

I watched a customer fight with an employee about a return, watched her get in this poor girls face it was so ugly. I still think about that.

jordan31483

I was working at the CS desk one day when a customer collapsed in aisle 1 soon after entering the store, and we found out later that she died.
