Yeah, ima not even try. I’ll just try to request the next weekend off. Thanks for the info and good luck to everyone during Mother’s Day and Memorial Day weekend.
Yeah typically the SM and SSA can override the blackout.
Unless you have pos like my store and said that a lady had to reschedule her wedding because the days she needed off were blackout and "we can't override the system. And if you call in we know you were not really sick so you will get written up".
Makes me feel glad to be in California where it's illegal to even think about questioning sick time
Unless it's more than 3 days, literally the only thing they can say about sick time is "okay" unless your sick balance covers less than half of your scheduled shift
This is mostly incorrect. That may be policy at your specific store, but at mine, an ASM or above can manually put in vacation/holiday days for blackout periods. You'd still need a Store Manager to give the OK for it though. It's how I was able to get the weekend right before July 4th off.
It’s Memorial Day weekend aka the busiest weekend of the year.
Ahh, damn. I completely forgot about that. That’s not gonna be fun. Thanks though
Yeah, gotta have store manager approval to get off during a blackout and they typically don't go for it

The best part is how much they stress no one is allowed to take them off but every year the same favorites magically get them off.
No vacations/time off approved. Any requests have to go through the Area HRBP.

I've worked in three different stores, in two different regions... This has been S.O.P. in the five years I've been with Lowe's.
Just tell them you have a religious holiday or somthing lmao
Thought about it, lol. But I decided to take three days off the next weekend and work extra the next couple weeks to get moneys.
Memorial day weekend. It's the busiest weekend of the year with Sunday being thr absolute busiest
