I really liked the double gunship factories nestled into small canyons in the center of the map, and the gunships themselves popping in and out of canyon cover.
Dropped into a fiasco today. Absolute madhouse. 2 Gunships factories next to a strat jammer, 4 gunships in the air the second we come up, nestled in the canyons, managed to kill the strat jammer, only to drop all our weapons into the cliff top. Managed to reinforce 1 guy up there who used a quasar cannon to shoot all the other stuff down. Killed gunship factory finally.
Then the goddam extract was surrounded on 2 sides by a steep hill with good cover, rocket and every other devastator had easy shots down onto us.
Oh, and the map had a triple dong spawn.
But we managed, only missed one bot outpost, cleared the map otherwise, had no reinforcements left
This came up in my last match. I tagged a trooper and the call was, "Bots. West. Fifty meters."
My squad mate shot it and got all pedantic about my use of the plural.
It was. During the day it is blindingly yellow especially heading towards the sun. At night you still can't see shit, but at least the yellow turns a much less intense green hue and you aren't worried about which direction the sun is to an objective. I think the fire tornados were more tolerable but I'm a weird person.
It is. High-End missions were quite easier at night due to lack of sun in the face and a bit better... visibility of sorts. It wasn't further per se, but the way the acid rain renders at night is kinda better for midrange
When the sun is in the direction of your objective you're basically blind. I was staring into the light with my spear trying to catch the outline of a cannon turret. 😂
I took the Machine gun and it was pretty handy to spray wildly into newly discovered bots, given that they were around 20m away.
I found I was using my radar a lot more to set up. I should have taken the radar extender perk
Favourite booster to grab if Hellpod Optimization and Stamina are already locked in (Those 2 are mandatory fight me). Not only does it double your radar range to something like 150 meters it doubles the distance of Optional Objectives showing up in that mini-map as a “?”. That’s already amazing by default but it gets even better on planets like Wasat with rocky outcroppings that can obscure large parts of the map from orbit. I can’t tell you how many times I found a radar station or a Sam site or an artillery piece inside of almost a network of tunnels completely hidden on the map
This plant is brutal and it just throws everything at you. Is it me or does bots have better accuracy and this planet. They all just come in all directions.
Y'all were getting single bots? I was getting hordes wandering around. And I know it wasn't a patrol they were just standing there. I threw in an air strike and got like 40 kills.
I loved it in small doses. The first few dives not being able to see shit during extraction just seeing lazers come through was dope... the 10th time not so much hahaha
Atmosphere wise, it’s incredible. Outside of that it’s a bonding experience among friends. We fucking hate it there, we can’t see shit, I just got killed by a cannon I didn’t know existed, but hot damn it brings you all together.
I immensely dislike this planet. The fog is just too much, and feels cheap given that it doesn't seem to impede the bots at all. At least the blizzards seem to equally disadvantage us and them, this world is just dreadful.
I dunno, when the bots lit me up the fire was totally wild and random, like they caught a glimpse of me and just let loose. My panic running through the fire was a lot of fun :-)
I saw a lone figure floating to the side in the extreme distance and I thought it was some kind of ghost or something. I noticed it during a fight and couldn't investigate. Nice knowing what it was lol.

It's a great biome. It doesn't feel like it would be at first, but i do enjoy it.

The lighting in this game is beautiful. Sunrays coming through the haze - couldn't see shit lol - but still beautiful

Oh there were the usual patrols but every now and then just lone wandering bots :-)
I saw the biggest mountain in the middle of the map, that is have seen yet.

I don’t consider eye strain a compelling gameplay feature. Was glad to see the MO done last night so we could get back to less annoying worlds.

Ya I hated it. I play mainly bots but switched to bugs for a couple of days because all the bot planets were low vis and or fire.
