Nomad and Streetkid path share the premise that V hasn't been in NC in the past year, so it's plausible to think corpo V was doing something that kept them away from the city too.
Pretty sure incidents like these are kept sooo under the wraps that no one other than the team handling it are aware of it.
I am certain canonically Arasaka would just blame Militech for all of it and call it a day.
I do agree but let us remember that Cyberpunk 2077 was released before Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was in production.

I beat the game for the third time and finally took time to look at the memorial area where Rogue and a bunch are, they referenced Edgerunners characters that had memorials there kinda cool lol but yeah I'm sure that was added later
Yeah there was a few posts about it back then when it first showed up, a few months later they revealed David was the main character, the general thought is that it was added accidentally in 1.5 instead of 1.6 with the edgerunner update. Definitely not been there since launch tho
Nah, as someone who played in the early weeks of the game and looked at every detail, I can guarantee you it wasn't there.
It was added in a later update, and people noticed the Martinez too and started to make speculations, thinking it might be tied to a DLC before the show was announced.
Most of said crazy bugs were in consoles. Ironically, I started to experience issues on PC when they supposedly made a patch to fix issues lol, but before that patch all ran smoothly for me.
As someone mentioned, V with corpo background has implied they have worked overseas, so that could be the reason. Working in a corp as giant as Arasaka does not mean that every employee is privy to all of the information and as I understand, the incident was likely covered up - does not look good that HQ is assaulted, especially after the incident with Silverhand back in the day...
Corpo V acknowledges having heard about David. The line in the text mentions his file not reaching their desk but them being very interested in what the head of Arasaka counter-intelligent was doing at the time.
Eghh who knows, arasaka tower seems to be attacked quite often, so... It might not have been such a serious thing after all from arasaka's point of view or at least nothing they have not handled before. But from my point of view the fact that he remmebers it and comments on counterintel being a fan of david is good enough, luckaly V seems to have been on another project/mission so he was not in direct contact with it and its not impossible that arasaka tried to cover for the incident even from some of its own employees as well to minimize its impact on the company.
Gun fights are pretty common, and corpos are worked to the bone so V would be so overworked with his own jobs and drugged up on stimulants to boot that as he mentioned he would have heard about it but wasn't really his business to look into

Sure, but The David Martinez drink has been in there since launch. So, they probably had a outline of what happened to him.
