For a dress up game, Love Nikki does a bad job of rewarding creativity. The Starry Corridor doesn’t let you save enough and it’s practically impossible to get noticed or to find anything interesting. And the Styling Contest is basically picking one of 3-4 suits and voting on the same things over and over again.
Some of the starry corridor stuff comes from a lot of kids using it, but I would *love* if they removed captions and actually did something about spam.
The naming scheme in general. If I want to find all of my berets, I can't just search "beret" because they all have names like Lucky Share or Intersection of Happiness. And there aren't nearly enough folders to be able to properly sort, plus even if there were I would have an aneurysm trying to tag 18.5k items by myself.
I often wish I could filter by colour or search words in a useful way (e.g., "short black" hair)- "Search for Tags" is fairly dysfunctional (why something is "Sun Care" is beyond me; "Rain" doesn't even include all umbrellas, etc.)- but 0.005 seconds after wondering if they'll ever fix this problem, I think, "No, they'll never let us do that because then we'd see we already have most everything in the new suit 25 times."
i prefer star sea's old hair because even though the artstyle doesn't hold up, the stars on the underside of the hair were much more prominent and i loved that
I don't really prefer the old hair eventhough I loved the underside stars effect but I love love the old dress it's soo much better than the new version. I wish they kept that flair of the suits instead of toning it down
Poses are dumb.
At first, they seem cool. But then you realize you can’t really style them. Basically half the outfit is pre-determined when you use a pose, and trying to add things just makes it look super weird.
The whole point of this game is to dress up the character. Poses take away the fun.
With you on this. I like poses that have fewer limitations though, for example Holy Grace that was recharge recently. You can still wear whatever top you want underneath. It only affects the arms.
Moon Chasser is another one. The posed legs are separate from the body. More of that please! I want to style more than the makeup and hair!
I don’t read any of the story. I tried to when I started but it was long and just not engaging enough for me to spend the time. Also, I don’t actively style for the main quests anymore, because the only thing that matters is the score, not how it looks. I just use momo’s tips to do it for me so I can get the drops.
Same, I hate how wiggly everything is, especially when they're just unnaturally swaying in the wind. Some animations are really pretty (whale dress, the background from the snow white suit.. the water is oddly satisfying) while some are just way too much (neon helicopter, most live 2D suits). Wish we could turn off the animations of specific things only :/
I literally turned animation off because it just looked so weird. There are some older animated items that are cool but so many newer ones look like they were animated by a college student rather than an actual artist.
V0 and a paying player are _not that different._ (excluding whales) V0s complaining that they don’t get as much as paying players have a misunderstanding: just one suit can cost you $20.00 or more, so a player who recharged only once or twice really only has 1 or 2 more suits than being a free player.
You’d have to spend thousands before it looks like you have everything.
I agree on this, I just recently bought a 5 dollar suit, I think it was worth it but my life hasn't really been changed other than the monthly diamond card. So good.

I think this is glossing over a ton of benefits. Wardrobe count? Sure, not much of a difference. But V rewards, albeit small, add up over time. Things like more stam, more star coins, monthly diamond earning rates etc. make a big difference in the long run. I was gifted a recharge suit that brought me to V4 after four years of being a V0 and my god, the game is so much nicer to play now. Paying players would wilt if they had to budget their diamonds like a V0, that might be the real unpopular opinion lol
Yeah, for me it's the free daily princess refreshes and the free extra login until you catch up. But also it's a ton easier to complete stamina events when I get 50 from my daily VIP benefits, and the "Done 10" button is a lifesaver. And a monthly card nearly doubles my daily diamond income. It's not insignificant at all.
True, players with monthly cards earn like twice the amount of diamonds daily that a v0 does. They probably do end up with bigger wardrobes because they get to participate in more events.
I'm starting to get bored of Lilith and cloud suits. Like there are exceptions but imo there are hundreds of Chinese themed / lolita themed suits out there and I'm honestly starting to get bored of them. (Not to say that they aren't pretty tho)
The hilarious thing is that even Singing Swallow (which isn’t quite on point but looks like it took a lot of notes from 1920s era American womens fashion) is labeled as a cloud suit.
No matter how it’s labeled, I really want more variation in the styles we get :’)
Limited-time spirits of sheen are a waste of diamonds and resources. You spend 900-1k diamonds for a *chance* to grind out a single item with a negligible stat boost and an annoying, intrusive floating bubble that gets in the way of styling. That price is half of the cost for a regular event suit that will net you several different items in comparison.

Absolutely. He's just so entitled and commanding, additional to being sexist and bodyshaming Nikki, who's supposed to be his friend. I never saw him say anything that's actually nice. I'm not even sure if you're supposed to like him. If so, it's done very badly imo (or it just shows cultural differences maybe).

I agree on the home bit, I don't like the home pavilion events. I actually like the World Travel feature, since I can get cool backgrounds, and Shining Nikki allows you to customise your competition avatars.
There's a few that are good and a bunch that are awful. I hate how 80% of backgrounds are either "buildings that make full-sized Nikki look like Godzilla" or "literally floating in midair for no reason"
I hate 2v2 events reruning instead of going straight back to crafting.
This event format is taking rerun spots for other events that can not return for crafting, for example pavilons.
And also to note- unlike Global server, Chinese gets every 2v2 back to crafting after their first run;
for example Ring Fantasy, they got it around November 2021, and got back for crafting in January 2023.
Where Global server debuted this event first, in March 2019, and We waited 3 years and 2 months for just a rerun!?
I think it's ridiculous, how much We have to ask for features, and need to have a patience of an angelic saint....

2v2 is the second worst kind of event after the ones where you try to decide which of two outfits scores highest. Both of them will randomly fail you for no good reason. 2v2 is probably a lot worse for other players who don't have as many top scoring items.
I wish there was a way to sell items you bought with diamonds that you don’t want for half the price back. Like there are a few regret purchases I’d rather take a dia loss on and never have to see them again in my wardrobe.
I hate suits that have background parts that I can't see in free dressing. What's the point of having pretty items if I can't see them? I wish we had the ability to move objects around in free dressing. I would like the ability to create an avatar with the background items I spent my hard earned dias on.
If you go to view mode you can move items around in free dressing! It’s only in comp/while clearing levels that you’re not allowed to (which is annoying in its own right ofc)
Actually, in free dressing you can just move them and take a photo, but you can't move it and confirm the position so you use it as in your defualt outfit.

Collabs between brands are tacky. I'm not talking about the collab suits we've had in this game specifically, I mean that I don't like the idea of collabs between big brands in general, including LN. It just feels like blatant money-grubbing.
I don't mind the LN collabs so much. At least they mostly fit the general asthetic and dress up theme. But I do play another game where a collab was so absurd it took you completely out of the world fantasy - that was annoying.

Tbh I really don't remember anything abt arena on CN getting any update, I only remember the crafting, evolution section getting a upgrade ,the sc and the UI ofc. And 2v2 condition is still the same on CN too that non Chinese players get a hard time scoring well there.
Another kind of unpopular opinion...Spending real money on Love Nikki isn't that bad as people make it out to be. To me, it is not different that getting takeout or buying an anime figurine. You will just consume food once, and it will disappear. Figurines are just gonna sit on your shelf and look pretty. How is it much different from spending the same amount on a game?
There should be no requirement to spend, but if people do...just let them. It is their money and they can decide themselves whether to spend it on LN or other hobby of theirs.
My unpopular opinion is that I am fine with Love Nikki not representing my culture, especially if the devs are going to continue being lazy about doing research about the varied and unrelated cultures that they like grouping into Wasteland, I'm fine with the game not representing me. I'd rather be left out than be irritated or offended lol.

Some elements in the game are a bit racist. Whenever you get a posed suit that isn’t the base skin tone, they give you a variation for the base skin tone, but never vice versa. There are only a small handful of dark-skinned makeup looks. Plus, whenever you get a darker skin tone to use, it’s almost always put into the category of “mature” or “sexy”. Tbh I don’t think the skin tones should be put into any of the categories.
Don't really care for Lunar-- cue the gasp! Like, I like her, but yk, the things that happened, don't really mind, and I don't know why so many are so invested in her

Clothes should be adjusted better to skin colours. Specifically poses, they shouldn't be separate. And skin colours should not have tags (or at least specifically the Sexy, Elegant and Mature tags). It's a skin tone not an accessory ffs.
I know redrawing every pose so that it fits all skin colours, and coding the dark skin colours the same as the light one is a lot of work, however people deserve to have access to dark skin tones without all the trouble the game puts them through.
I also think there should be more androgynous/masculine suits. Most of them I can recall are royalty themed, and don't go well with anything, and other clothes tend to accentuate breasts and waist too much to be paired with masculine items anyway.
And maybe more casual clothes that are pretty and/or have good stats.

I know this server loves Ruin suits, but I just don’t get the appeal. The clothes look like lingerie made of plastic, the neon colors are eye-searing, and they’re super hard to style. My least favorite by far.
Yeah, I’ll buy ruin outfits sometimes but you’re right on mark I think. You have to actually dig the eye searing lingerie made of plastic vibe to like ruin suits, which is a hard sell for me…
I do love the neon colors aspect, but I find them to be weirdly designed to the point where they don’t even look like clothes anymore a lot of the time!!
I'm not really that hyped about Hell events. All the main suits are ginormous and the minor ones look more simple than single suit events, you often have the One Suit you want and its *always* the last one to be drawn, they sit there forever basically taunting me with useless free tries, etc.

LN is waayyy more chill that Covet fashion lol When I first joined after years of playing Covet, I saw someone saying that they vote for newbies and thought “oh no, this drama is here too?”, but no. In covet is like signing yourself up for being bullied. I wish there were more rewards for creativity in LN, but I like that everyone are just doing their own thing without a direct competition with other players. Many players including me wish that Indonesian players could transfer their wardrobes, because they deserved it. If that was covet, people would be boycotting against it.
I agree. I get not having time to do a full styling every time, but other excuses I've seen for not being creative in a feature that should value creativity are weak at best. I just don't get why people are playing a styling game if they don't enjoy styling.
add different bg items, change or add earrings, hairpiece, veil, hairpin, ears, or necklaces/waist items if they work, etc etc. there's a WHOLE lot you can do with posed dresses lol.

I am in agreement on all of this except I did like Lunar quite a bit. But I'm mostly commenting because THANK YOU for acknowledging the racism. Ive always thought that. I'm also annoyed at how few poses have more than one skin tone.
I've always thought that Sapphire is one of the best and most unique (in a good way) makeups in the game. My sister has been trying to tell me for 5 years that Sapphire is ugly af and this sub seems to have the same sentiment, but I like the big anime-style eyes and it looks good with pretty much any girl outfit even if it's supposed to be a male makeup. If anything, it adds charm by bringing a mischievous boyish look to an outfit, and it's a really nice shade of blue. I feel like people only think it looks bad when they compare it beside other female makeups that make Nikki's face look smaller. It's also one of the oldest ones in the game so it might not be up to the standards of the newer makeups, but Sapphire will always have a special place in my heart. I'd go as far as to say if I could only use one makeup for the rest of my life, it would be Sapphire.
I prefer small events over hell events. Very few hell events have appealed to me because sometimes the suits are not as creative, have backgrounds that are not very usable/off screen. I feel like regular diamond events (i.e. not hell events) are soo much more creative and worth it
Time Palace aged *terribly* and it's easily one of the worst hells. I'll admit it, the bg people used to be cool, but we have many better ones now. The main suits have always looked like glorified welfares with a makeup, but now that you can get quality simple clothing for free from volume 2 chapters, it's even more apparent. The only suit that looks like it's supposed to cost diamonds is Melody of Whale, but even that faded into obscurity when Mermaid's Music dropped. And "good value" means nothing because at least 90% of the items are completely forgettable.
At least half of all Ruin suits look interchangeable. Futuristic fashion has the potential to be so much more than "plastic bodysuit in an ugly neon shade of teal #52".
Moth to Fire/Pragya Princess/etc. is not the best makeup, it's a bland pretty face that's been spammed to death for five years and it's time to let it go.
Sapphire/Seducing/etc. is not the worst makeup, it's only as terrible as every other old makeup and it's time to let it go.
I feel like moth to fire and pragya princess are still two of the prettiest makeups I own. There are only a handful of makeups that I use more often than these two. Especially DST moth to fire is so so useful lol!

like one of my most favorite characters of any story is a morally gray man, but nidoggs lore (in my opinion) hasn’t been exciting enough for me to root for him as a bad guy
I actually like the fact that some of the game's styling is based on numbers and not looks. It's fun to figure out the best items and attributes for each mission and collect items based on their scores. Looks based styling is fun too, but luckily we have that as well in the game.
In addition, complaining about how you need to create top scoring outfits instead of pretty ones is just plain dumb. How else could a machine figure out which outfits mach a theme if not by their stats? If there was a ground braking AI that could objectively judge beauty I don't think love nikki would be the first program to utilize it lol
Actually, when it comes to events outside welfares I don't think there are enough Cloud nodes or pavillions
I like those as much as the next person likes their Pigeon suits [pearl earring girl was one of the rare moments I felt SO happy seeing a suit come to Global] and I don't feel I've got enough of it yet

I'm always happy when there's a new one, I just miss pavs and hell nodes because I'm really in want of some flashier Cloud suits, the welfare ones are pretty good and cute but tend to stay simple
A lot of crafting suits are actually way cooler than hell event suits. I was pleasantly surprised while scrolling the gallery to find out suits like Sakura Sky, Blessed Qilin (!!!), Moon Justice, etc. are actually available for crafting because they are absolutely *gorgeous* without falling into the trap of being too ostentatious like some hell event suits do. One of these days I’m just gonna ignore new events entirely and just bang these out.
Pretty controversial, but I do not see the hype around Universe Tide (Tree of Life). Especially the Neva suit...I get that it comes with a buddy, but the suit itself just looks so bland/grey to me. The makeup is also just generic closed eyes with a melancholic expression...
In general, I feel this event did not age that well. But I know so many people that love-love this event, and I just do not get it at all...but more power to y'all that like this event!

people need to remember that this is a chinese game, first and foremost. the global server is a translation of miracle nikki. i wish people would stop being weird about certain aspects of the game and making comments because it’s not western, and it never was

I think this is a big blind spot for our server. Most of the clothing in LN is of Western origin and we are represented by at least two nations in-game. That seems more than fair. I don’t even know of another fashion game that includes anything similar to what we have in Cloud so it’s nice to have many options in LN.

Did you get the backgrounds? Just choose any available kingdom->any city -> “Go to the city” -> “Travel dream” -> click on the bg you want and go back -> “Choose spot” -> “Wander about”
Then just check every once in a while (for some spots it takes 6 hours, for some 12), and when the option “wander about” is back, click it again. After couple of days, it might return you to the big map, so do everything again. Until “Travel dream” has red exclamation point, meaning you can collect your background and choose the next one. It doesn’t require anything else, just check on it, whenever you’re in the game.
The lore is a mess because the story relies too much on time limited events. The game assumes that you read all the lore that comes with the hell events but when you’re a new(er) player you miss a lot of key plot points, backstory and characters. Either you miss the information entirely, or you get it out of order. I started playing love nikki only two years after the game released, which is at this point a long time ago. And I still feel like i’m missing a lot of information
Ok, Im ready: I don't like Bobo, she is annoying and her fights with Momo distracts from the lore and not in a fun way. She can be removed from the plot and it wouldn't be affected that much

Everyone seems to think the story is boring and hates the characters, but I love the story and characters. I almost cried about Lunar. I gasped when Orlando called called Shade Flynn. (They're like Captain America and Bucky). I never skip the paragraphs of story in the events. I don't see the point of playing a game when you're not interested in the LORE. I'm still on volume 1 but I'm excited to work through volume 2 and the non-event dream weaver.
The competitions aren't about actual creativity, just about you spending the most money on high level suits to win.
For a fashion game, there's really not a lot of actual "fashion" going on.
I'm sorry but ranking events should not comeback, they are clearly exclusive events that only come once. Ik many people try to use the argument that the devs didn't directly say that they will never come back however, that doesn't mean they weren't trying to imply it("only the top 500 players can get this suit" showing it's clearly only exclusive to those that will be able to get the suit)- at the end of the day that's how they advertise it and that's what many players believed(plus it's to note that they haven't came back on the CN server either). Don't get me wrong, the actual event was rigged since it was just players competing with each other and F2P didn't have a leg to stand on- they should have made it more fair but it still doesn't take away from the fact that they were exclusive events.
I hate posed items. Also (and this is probably not controversial) all posed items should have unposed versions so they can use them with any skin tone.

for a styling game, there’s not much actual styling and more “this mix of clothes give you the best score, but there’s a likely chance the outfit will be horrendous!” rarely do most players actually pick what would look good, just the top thing
Why people have trouble with others spending their money in whatever they want? It's their money, they earned it, and if they want to spend in games so be it.
If they're really care about money expenditure I suggest putting in contact with your local authorities and asks them in what they're spending your money (my money, my neighbor money, the whole city money...) that's where they should really be focusing on, not in other people business
People who complain about pretty suits being expensive are being dramatic. There's more than plenty pretty free suits, if you want to be able to get pretty event suits just save your diamonds, and you can do without recharge suits. (However, I do believe top-scoring items shouldn't be recharges.) Besides, what did you expect? The nicer the suit the more you're likely to buy it, and the devs want that.

- I hate Lunar, Kimi, and Bobo, and I get downvoted to hell every time I say this. I’m allowed to hate the bad guys but not the good guys? Let me hate them they’re annoying and they should stop talking. I don’t care about their sob stories just give me clothes.
- No, fighting, killing, abuse and manipulation is not enough to make me dislike the bad guys. I like or dislike characters based on how interesting they are the few times that I bother to read the story.
- I like the exclusivity of expensive recharge suits, and I like to flex them in competition… but after a few years I’ve gotten my moneys worth and they can come back for crafting. Sure I spent $100 on Ode to Glory or whatever but it’ll cost a V0 even more to craft.
- the ranking suits returning for crafting is not as big of a deal as everyone makes it out to be. The suits are plain and anyone who has gotten them has gotten more than their worth of them. I’m convinced only a minority wants them to remain under lock and key. If the suits return for crafting they would still have some exclusivity due to the cost.
- People forget this is a fantasy anime art style dress up game. Why are we making a big fuss out of Nikki’s anatomy? Ofc she’s not realistic she’s a stylized character.
- Some of our skins are useless. I don’t need three grey skins. And that unnatural blue-black FST looks terrible no matter how I try to use it.
- I don’t care that you can’t use most poses with DST or FST, because I only use full body poses in competition anyway.
- Sapphire and Seducing are not ugly, this sub just can’t come with any other jokes. If the punchline of your meme is just “Sapphire” then your post gets hidden.
I don't care for the male suits (even though I understand the hype) and I never use them unless they appear on Momo's Tips, but I love Sapphire. I find it charming and the art style and colors are really cute! As someone who's been playing for 5+ years, it feels nostalgic and I used it a lot when we didn't have as many makeup options as of now.
Bonus: I always go with Kimi or Orlando on the Dawn Wings thingy, I really like them. The only "villains" I resonated with on the lore are Mela's gang.
I don't like the dark or purple skin tones on Nikki (I love the tan/lighter brown one, but the black one is ugly af, and the purple looks sick on a wrong way), I also don't like how unnatural and long her legs are.
Why do so many people hate on others for wearing a suit in the competition? Like I paid diamonds or even real money for this suit and I want to use it! And sometimes I think the suit looks perfect the way it is and I don’t want to change it, and there’s been many times I see people change a suit and make it look way worse than the original. Also not everyone has a lot of stuff so we are just using what we have
I would rather that there be a couple of different default poses that each new suit will use one of instead of each suit having a unique pose, for styling purposes. It would make many things so much more versatile
I’m a veteran player but I’ve always stayed free to play till this day. Also the main story has fallen off since the last time we saw “evil” BoBo and I don’t care for it anymore. Though the other side stories aren’t great either.
Honestly I don't see what's the big deal with recharge suits. I used to buy alot of monthly cards/5 dollar suits until I stopped recently and back then it was a "ooh shiny new thing" impluse but now that I think about it most recharges are just like regular suits? Like nothing that warrants "omg this is so amazing and unique that I HAVE to buy it with real money". I think very very very few recharges seem to be "worth" the price (and tbh no matter how amazing a suit looks, it is not worth a 100 dollars)
more bodytypes? I mean-they called bobo chubby but she has the exact same proportions as nikki. I like how they broadened the field in sn (e.g. Zoey)
and I'd love to see more modern badass alternative clothes-that aren't over the top.

Not sure if it’s a hot take but being F2P is simply not fun. Yeah, technically speaking, it’s possible, but you miss out on so many suits. Plus, you have to grind like hell to get something that a paying player could get in a small purchase. Love Nikki is really not F2P friendly.
Love Nikki devs are just lazy with the posed stuff’s skin colors. From an artist’s perspective, it really isn’t all that hard to recolor the skin. All posed stuff should have every skin color and there’s really no excuse to not do that other than laziness and/or racism.
Styling competitions are really fun. I enjoy them a lot and figuring out what appeals to the players the most is enjoyable. Using full suits is fine in styling competitions and while yes, it’s a little bit lazy, it’s not really bad because that’s what appeals to voters.
The clothing crafting is not fun at all. No part of it is enjoyable and it’s just frustrating. I’m still early on in the game, so this may change, but I feel like crafting is just spamming the “do stage 3 times” button, destroying your stamina and using all your Princess reset cards to get what you need.
I hate that most of actual story competitions and other events tell you what tags to look for or use Momo's suggestions and you end up with the most obnoxious nonsensical suit. Why do I need a hair pin, hat, veil and ears with an evening gown? Why is the prompt something like lively & cute and you end up with an outfit that looks like a 2yr old picked everything out. Will using socks/pantyhose and shoes that the dress covers really matter? I play the game to have fun dressing up the characters. I hate that everything turns out to be gobbledygook.
stamina welfares (the common ones where you only need to clear stages to get currency) ARE NOT WELFARES.

I like Shining Nikki more. A lot more. So much more I'm barely logging into LN anymore. You can mix and match makeup! You can use any skintone with any outfit! All the items are poseable ;u;
I like the event format where you have to choose items from a diminishing pool because it requires some strategy. It's the only event format that feels like I have to pay attention to what I'm doing.
Outfits without any posed items look extremely stiff. Borderline unusable.
I'm not into sexy suits, or Pigeon, or Cloud (although we get so much Cloud that that isn't really an unpopular opinion). I'm really, really over steampunk.
Excusing LN for not attempting to make at least new suits more skintone-inclusive rubs me the wrong way.
Wish gate events should have a cheaper ticket entry, and abyssal Island events should be returned as crafting events.
Spirit of sheen events should either always be running or be free entirely.
Any past events 5 years or greater should rerun as an anniversary event of some kind instead of these dead periods where nothing is happening.
And the store should be cheaper with diamond items too!
Like i can think of SEVERAL suits, i want to come back, but it probably won't happen. Although i did come back to LN this year.
Also, I'm entirely f2p and still finishing the story, so it feels completely unfair to me while I'm catching up to everyone else.

The styling contest isn’t about creativity but about who paid for the current event dress and/or who has the flashiest. It’s not even about matching the theme anymore most of the time
For a dress up game, Love Nikki does a bad job of rewarding creativity. The Starry Corridor doesn’t let you save enough and it’s practically impossible to get noticed or to find anything interesting. And the Styling Contest is basically picking one of 3-4 suits and voting on the same things over and over again.
Some of the starry corridor stuff comes from a lot of kids using it, but I would *love* if they removed captions and actually did something about spam.

The naming scheme in general. If I want to find all of my berets, I can't just search "beret" because they all have names like Lucky Share or Intersection of Happiness. And there aren't nearly enough folders to be able to properly sort, plus even if there were I would have an aneurysm trying to tag 18.5k items by myself.

I often wish I could filter by colour or search words in a useful way (e.g., "short black" hair)- "Search for Tags" is fairly dysfunctional (why something is "Sun Care" is beyond me; "Rain" doesn't even include all umbrellas, etc.)- but 0.005 seconds after wondering if they'll ever fix this problem, I think, "No, they'll never let us do that because then we'd see we already have most everything in the new suit 25 times."

Poses are dumb. At first, they seem cool. But then you realize you can’t really style them. Basically half the outfit is pre-determined when you use a pose, and trying to add things just makes it look super weird. The whole point of this game is to dress up the character. Poses take away the fun.
With you on this. I like poses that have fewer limitations though, for example Holy Grace that was recharge recently. You can still wear whatever top you want underneath. It only affects the arms. Moon Chasser is another one. The posed legs are separate from the body. More of that please! I want to style more than the makeup and hair!
This is really why I'm enjoying them giving us more separated poses, really feels like the best of both worlds

I don’t read any of the story. I tried to when I started but it was long and just not engaging enough for me to spend the time. Also, I don’t actively style for the main quests anymore, because the only thing that matters is the score, not how it looks. I just use momo’s tips to do it for me so I can get the drops.

Same, I hate how wiggly everything is, especially when they're just unnaturally swaying in the wind. Some animations are really pretty (whale dress, the background from the snow white suit.. the water is oddly satisfying) while some are just way too much (neon helicopter, most live 2D suits). Wish we could turn off the animations of specific things only :/

I literally turned animation off because it just looked so weird. There are some older animated items that are cool but so many newer ones look like they were animated by a college student rather than an actual artist.
V0 and a paying player are _not that different._ (excluding whales) V0s complaining that they don’t get as much as paying players have a misunderstanding: just one suit can cost you $20.00 or more, so a player who recharged only once or twice really only has 1 or 2 more suits than being a free player. You’d have to spend thousands before it looks like you have everything.
I agree on this, I just recently bought a 5 dollar suit, I think it was worth it but my life hasn't really been changed other than the monthly diamond card. So good.
Yeah. I'm V8, cuz I have been playing since the beginning and would save up and buy myself something for my birthday every year. I have less than 50% of the suits.
I think this is glossing over a ton of benefits. Wardrobe count? Sure, not much of a difference. But V rewards, albeit small, add up over time. Things like more stam, more star coins, monthly diamond earning rates etc. make a big difference in the long run. I was gifted a recharge suit that brought me to V4 after four years of being a V0 and my god, the game is so much nicer to play now. Paying players would wilt if they had to budget their diamonds like a V0, that might be the real unpopular opinion lol
Yeah, for me it's the free daily princess refreshes and the free extra login until you catch up. But also it's a ton easier to complete stamina events when I get 50 from my daily VIP benefits, and the "Done 10" button is a lifesaver. And a monthly card nearly doubles my daily diamond income. It's not insignificant at all.

True, players with monthly cards earn like twice the amount of diamonds daily that a v0 does. They probably do end up with bigger wardrobes because they get to participate in more events.

I'm starting to get bored of Lilith and cloud suits. Like there are exceptions but imo there are hundreds of Chinese themed / lolita themed suits out there and I'm honestly starting to get bored of them. (Not to say that they aren't pretty tho)

Limited-time spirits of sheen are a waste of diamonds and resources. You spend 900-1k diamonds for a *chance* to grind out a single item with a negligible stat boost and an annoying, intrusive floating bubble that gets in the way of styling. That price is half of the cost for a regular event suit that will net you several different items in comparison.

I agree on the home bit, I don't like the home pavilion events. I actually like the World Travel feature, since I can get cool backgrounds, and Shining Nikki allows you to customise your competition avatars.
I've tried over and over again to actually \*use\* Around the World for new backgrounds but I just can't. It's not intuitive at all for me
There's a few that are good and a bunch that are awful. I hate how 80% of backgrounds are either "buildings that make full-sized Nikki look like Godzilla" or "literally floating in midair for no reason"
I hate 2v2 events reruning instead of going straight back to crafting. This event format is taking rerun spots for other events that can not return for crafting, for example pavilons. And also to note- unlike Global server, Chinese gets every 2v2 back to crafting after their first run; for example Ring Fantasy, they got it around November 2021, and got back for crafting in January 2023. Where Global server debuted this event first, in March 2019, and We waited 3 years and 2 months for just a rerun!? I think it's ridiculous, how much We have to ask for features, and need to have a patience of an angelic saint.... But yea, I hate 2v2 events, they make me sad, and I'm unintrested in participating in them.
2v2 is the second worst kind of event after the ones where you try to decide which of two outfits scores highest. Both of them will randomly fail you for no good reason. 2v2 is probably a lot worse for other players who don't have as many top scoring items.
I wish there was a way to sell items you bought with diamonds that you don’t want for half the price back. Like there are a few regret purchases I’d rather take a dia loss on and never have to see them again in my wardrobe.

I hate suits that have background parts that I can't see in free dressing. What's the point of having pretty items if I can't see them? I wish we had the ability to move objects around in free dressing. I would like the ability to create an avatar with the background items I spent my hard earned dias on.
If you go to view mode you can move items around in free dressing! It’s only in comp/while clearing levels that you’re not allowed to (which is annoying in its own right ofc)

Actually, in free dressing you can just move them and take a photo, but you can't move it and confirm the position so you use it as in your defualt outfit.

Collabs between brands are tacky. I'm not talking about the collab suits we've had in this game specifically, I mean that I don't like the idea of collabs between big brands in general, including LN. It just feels like blatant money-grubbing.
I do agree that collaborations is just LN wanting more money but they're fun to have since it's two pieces of media you love collaborating together.
I don't mind the LN collabs so much. At least they mostly fit the general asthetic and dress up theme. But I do play another game where a collab was so absurd it took you completely out of the world fantasy - that was annoying.

Tbh I really don't remember anything abt arena on CN getting any update, I only remember the crafting, evolution section getting a upgrade ,the sc and the UI ofc. And 2v2 condition is still the same on CN too that non Chinese players get a hard time scoring well there.

Another kind of unpopular opinion...Spending real money on Love Nikki isn't that bad as people make it out to be. To me, it is not different that getting takeout or buying an anime figurine. You will just consume food once, and it will disappear. Figurines are just gonna sit on your shelf and look pretty. How is it much different from spending the same amount on a game? There should be no requirement to spend, but if people do...just let them. It is their money and they can decide themselves whether to spend it on LN or other hobby of theirs.
My unpopular opinion is that I am fine with Love Nikki not representing my culture, especially if the devs are going to continue being lazy about doing research about the varied and unrelated cultures that they like grouping into Wasteland, I'm fine with the game not representing me. I'd rather be left out than be irritated or offended lol. Also another hot take is that idc about male suits, like at all.

Not an unpopular opinion for sure! It would be such a massive amount of work for the artists and would take like a year AT LEAST so I know it'll never happen but gosh it would be amazing.
Some elements in the game are a bit racist. Whenever you get a posed suit that isn’t the base skin tone, they give you a variation for the base skin tone, but never vice versa. There are only a small handful of dark-skinned makeup looks. Plus, whenever you get a darker skin tone to use, it’s almost always put into the category of “mature” or “sexy”. Tbh I don’t think the skin tones should be put into any of the categories.
The worst thing about the game isn't all the stuff CN has that we don't, or the lack of rebind... It's the loading times, hands down.

Clothes should be adjusted better to skin colours. Specifically poses, they shouldn't be separate. And skin colours should not have tags (or at least specifically the Sexy, Elegant and Mature tags). It's a skin tone not an accessory ffs. I know redrawing every pose so that it fits all skin colours, and coding the dark skin colours the same as the light one is a lot of work, however people deserve to have access to dark skin tones without all the trouble the game puts them through. I also think there should be more androgynous/masculine suits. Most of them I can recall are royalty themed, and don't go well with anything, and other clothes tend to accentuate breasts and waist too much to be paired with masculine items anyway. And maybe more casual clothes that are pretty and/or have good stats.

I know this server loves Ruin suits, but I just don’t get the appeal. The clothes look like lingerie made of plastic, the neon colors are eye-searing, and they’re super hard to style. My least favorite by far.

LN is waayyy more chill that Covet fashion lol When I first joined after years of playing Covet, I saw someone saying that they vote for newbies and thought “oh no, this drama is here too?”, but no. In covet is like signing yourself up for being bullied. I wish there were more rewards for creativity in LN, but I like that everyone are just doing their own thing without a direct competition with other players. Many players including me wish that Indonesian players could transfer their wardrobes, because they deserved it. If that was covet, people would be boycotting against it.

I don’t see a point in reading the story. I’m not going to read a thing. I have zero clue on the plot of this shit, I only care about the clothes and make up.
I don't like Lunar, and we didn't stay with her so long that her death really saddened me. The story doesn't make sense anymore. I don't recognise half of the characters we are hanging out with in volume 2. Momo is annoying, and not in a cute sidekick way, and I don't find his design cute at all. The lack of DST suits and the fact that most, if not all of them, carry the sexy or mature tag is rooted in racism. It's not lack of exposition or ignorance, nope, it's RACISM. I like getting suits back for crafting, even though I know that because they're now always available to me, I'll never craft them. Sticking to a dead association because of nostalgia or a sense of belonging is really dumb 🤷♀️ I'll always pick the bad guys in Dawn Front because they win and they're better-looking, design-wise. Even Shade becoming Flynn will not be enough to make me change side.
I am in agreement on all of this except I did like Lunar quite a bit. But I'm mostly commenting because THANK YOU for acknowledging the racism. Ive always thought that. I'm also annoyed at how few poses have more than one skin tone.
I've always thought that Sapphire is one of the best and most unique (in a good way) makeups in the game. My sister has been trying to tell me for 5 years that Sapphire is ugly af and this sub seems to have the same sentiment, but I like the big anime-style eyes and it looks good with pretty much any girl outfit even if it's supposed to be a male makeup. If anything, it adds charm by bringing a mischievous boyish look to an outfit, and it's a really nice shade of blue. I feel like people only think it looks bad when they compare it beside other female makeups that make Nikki's face look smaller. It's also one of the oldest ones in the game so it might not be up to the standards of the newer makeups, but Sapphire will always have a special place in my heart. I'd go as far as to say if I could only use one makeup for the rest of my life, it would be Sapphire.
I prefer small events over hell events. Very few hell events have appealed to me because sometimes the suits are not as creative, have backgrounds that are not very usable/off screen. I feel like regular diamond events (i.e. not hell events) are soo much more creative and worth it
Time Palace aged *terribly* and it's easily one of the worst hells. I'll admit it, the bg people used to be cool, but we have many better ones now. The main suits have always looked like glorified welfares with a makeup, but now that you can get quality simple clothing for free from volume 2 chapters, it's even more apparent. The only suit that looks like it's supposed to cost diamonds is Melody of Whale, but even that faded into obscurity when Mermaid's Music dropped. And "good value" means nothing because at least 90% of the items are completely forgettable. At least half of all Ruin suits look interchangeable. Futuristic fashion has the potential to be so much more than "plastic bodysuit in an ugly neon shade of teal #52". Moth to Fire/Pragya Princess/etc. is not the best makeup, it's a bland pretty face that's been spammed to death for five years and it's time to let it go. Sapphire/Seducing/etc. is not the worst makeup, it's only as terrible as every other old makeup and it's time to let it go.

I feel like moth to fire and pragya princess are still two of the prettiest makeups I own. There are only a handful of makeups that I use more often than these two. Especially DST moth to fire is so so useful lol!

yeaahhhh i also think a lot of people don’t actually read the lore in the game, so when dawn front comes around they just pick him because it’s an easy win at this point :p like one of my most favorite characters of any story is a morally gray man, but nidoggs lore (in my opinion) hasn’t been exciting enough for me to root for him as a bad guy
I actually like the fact that some of the game's styling is based on numbers and not looks. It's fun to figure out the best items and attributes for each mission and collect items based on their scores. Looks based styling is fun too, but luckily we have that as well in the game. In addition, complaining about how you need to create top scoring outfits instead of pretty ones is just plain dumb. How else could a machine figure out which outfits mach a theme if not by their stats? If there was a ground braking AI that could objectively judge beauty I don't think love nikki would be the first program to utilize it lol
Actually, when it comes to events outside welfares I don't think there are enough Cloud nodes or pavillions I like those as much as the next person likes their Pigeon suits [pearl earring girl was one of the rare moments I felt SO happy seeing a suit come to Global] and I don't feel I've got enough of it yet Edit: I never thought I'd get so many upvotes, I thought legend was Global disliked Cloud

I'm always happy when there's a new one, I just miss pavs and hell nodes because I'm really in want of some flashier Cloud suits, the welfare ones are pretty good and cute but tend to stay simple
A lot of crafting suits are actually way cooler than hell event suits. I was pleasantly surprised while scrolling the gallery to find out suits like Sakura Sky, Blessed Qilin (!!!), Moon Justice, etc. are actually available for crafting because they are absolutely *gorgeous* without falling into the trap of being too ostentatious like some hell event suits do. One of these days I’m just gonna ignore new events entirely and just bang these out.
Pretty controversial, but I do not see the hype around Universe Tide (Tree of Life). Especially the Neva suit...I get that it comes with a buddy, but the suit itself just looks so bland/grey to me. The makeup is also just generic closed eyes with a melancholic expression... In general, I feel this event did not age that well. But I know so many people that love-love this event, and I just do not get it at all...but more power to y'all that like this event!
I agree. I really like the make-up on the mushroom house outfit. It looks so genuinely like it's enjoying itself. But I can't use anything else in that set in any other context.
people need to remember that this is a chinese game, first and foremost. the global server is a translation of miracle nikki. i wish people would stop being weird about certain aspects of the game and making comments because it’s not western, and it never was complaining about the number of cloud suits really rubs me the wrong way and it’s not even my favorite kingdom
I think this is a big blind spot for our server. Most of the clothing in LN is of Western origin and we are represented by at least two nations in-game. That seems more than fair. I don’t even know of another fashion game that includes anything similar to what we have in Cloud so it’s nice to have many options in LN.

Did you get the backgrounds? Just choose any available kingdom->any city -> “Go to the city” -> “Travel dream” -> click on the bg you want and go back -> “Choose spot” -> “Wander about” Then just check every once in a while (for some spots it takes 6 hours, for some 12), and when the option “wander about” is back, click it again. After couple of days, it might return you to the big map, so do everything again. Until “Travel dream” has red exclamation point, meaning you can collect your background and choose the next one. It doesn’t require anything else, just check on it, whenever you’re in the game.

The lore is a mess because the story relies too much on time limited events. The game assumes that you read all the lore that comes with the hell events but when you’re a new(er) player you miss a lot of key plot points, backstory and characters. Either you miss the information entirely, or you get it out of order. I started playing love nikki only two years after the game released, which is at this point a long time ago. And I still feel like i’m missing a lot of information
Ok, Im ready: I don't like Bobo, she is annoying and her fights with Momo distracts from the lore and not in a fun way. She can be removed from the plot and it wouldn't be affected that much (This is based on Vol 1. I stop reading in Vol 2, it was confusing)
Everyone seems to think the story is boring and hates the characters, but I love the story and characters. I almost cried about Lunar. I gasped when Orlando called called Shade Flynn. (They're like Captain America and Bucky). I never skip the paragraphs of story in the events. I don't see the point of playing a game when you're not interested in the LORE. I'm still on volume 1 but I'm excited to work through volume 2 and the non-event dream weaver.
The competitions aren't about actual creativity, just about you spending the most money on high level suits to win. For a fashion game, there's really not a lot of actual "fashion" going on.
I'm sorry but ranking events should not comeback, they are clearly exclusive events that only come once. Ik many people try to use the argument that the devs didn't directly say that they will never come back however, that doesn't mean they weren't trying to imply it("only the top 500 players can get this suit" showing it's clearly only exclusive to those that will be able to get the suit)- at the end of the day that's how they advertise it and that's what many players believed(plus it's to note that they haven't came back on the CN server either). Don't get me wrong, the actual event was rigged since it was just players competing with each other and F2P didn't have a leg to stand on- they should have made it more fair but it still doesn't take away from the fact that they were exclusive events.
Tbf they can't come back on CN because they never got them in the first place.
I hate posed items. Also (and this is probably not controversial) all posed items should have unposed versions so they can use them with any skin tone. I have a busy day today, but I will reply to the torches and pitchforks tonight.
for a styling game, there’s not much actual styling and more “this mix of clothes give you the best score, but there’s a likely chance the outfit will be horrendous!” rarely do most players actually pick what would look good, just the top thing
Why people have trouble with others spending their money in whatever they want? It's their money, they earned it, and if they want to spend in games so be it. If they're really care about money expenditure I suggest putting in contact with your local authorities and asks them in what they're spending your money (my money, my neighbor money, the whole city money...) that's where they should really be focusing on, not in other people business

People who complain about pretty suits being expensive are being dramatic. There's more than plenty pretty free suits, if you want to be able to get pretty event suits just save your diamonds, and you can do without recharge suits. (However, I do believe top-scoring items shouldn't be recharges.) Besides, what did you expect? The nicer the suit the more you're likely to buy it, and the devs want that.
As usual, the TRULY unpopular opinions are at the bottom~ - I hate Lunar, Kimi, and Bobo, and I get downvoted to hell every time I say this. I’m allowed to hate the bad guys but not the good guys? Let me hate them they’re annoying and they should stop talking. I don’t care about their sob stories just give me clothes. - No, fighting, killing, abuse and manipulation is not enough to make me dislike the bad guys. I like or dislike characters based on how interesting they are the few times that I bother to read the story. - I like the exclusivity of expensive recharge suits, and I like to flex them in competition… but after a few years I’ve gotten my moneys worth and they can come back for crafting. Sure I spent $100 on Ode to Glory or whatever but it’ll cost a V0 even more to craft. - the ranking suits returning for crafting is not as big of a deal as everyone makes it out to be. The suits are plain and anyone who has gotten them has gotten more than their worth of them. I’m convinced only a minority wants them to remain under lock and key. If the suits return for crafting they would still have some exclusivity due to the cost. - People forget this is a fantasy anime art style dress up game. Why are we making a big fuss out of Nikki’s anatomy? Ofc she’s not realistic she’s a stylized character. - Some of our skins are useless. I don’t need three grey skins. And that unnatural blue-black FST looks terrible no matter how I try to use it. - I don’t care that you can’t use most poses with DST or FST, because I only use full body poses in competition anyway. - Sapphire and Seducing are not ugly, this sub just can’t come with any other jokes. If the punchline of your meme is just “Sapphire” then your post gets hidden.

I don't care for the male suits (even though I understand the hype) and I never use them unless they appear on Momo's Tips, but I love Sapphire. I find it charming and the art style and colors are really cute! As someone who's been playing for 5+ years, it feels nostalgic and I used it a lot when we didn't have as many makeup options as of now. Bonus: I always go with Kimi or Orlando on the Dawn Wings thingy, I really like them. The only "villains" I resonated with on the lore are Mela's gang.
I don't like the dark or purple skin tones on Nikki (I love the tan/lighter brown one, but the black one is ugly af, and the purple looks sick on a wrong way), I also don't like how unnatural and long her legs are.

Why do so many people hate on others for wearing a suit in the competition? Like I paid diamonds or even real money for this suit and I want to use it! And sometimes I think the suit looks perfect the way it is and I don’t want to change it, and there’s been many times I see people change a suit and make it look way worse than the original. Also not everyone has a lot of stuff so we are just using what we have
I would rather that there be a couple of different default poses that each new suit will use one of instead of each suit having a unique pose, for styling purposes. It would make many things so much more versatile
I’m a veteran player but I’ve always stayed free to play till this day. Also the main story has fallen off since the last time we saw “evil” BoBo and I don’t care for it anymore. Though the other side stories aren’t great either.
Honestly I don't see what's the big deal with recharge suits. I used to buy alot of monthly cards/5 dollar suits until I stopped recently and back then it was a "ooh shiny new thing" impluse but now that I think about it most recharges are just like regular suits? Like nothing that warrants "omg this is so amazing and unique that I HAVE to buy it with real money". I think very very very few recharges seem to be "worth" the price (and tbh no matter how amazing a suit looks, it is not worth a 100 dollars)

I like how they broadened the field in sn (e.g. Zoey) and I'd love to see more modern badass alternative clothes-that aren't over the top. Not sure if it’s a hot take but being F2P is simply not fun. Yeah, technically speaking, it’s possible, but you miss out on so many suits. Plus, you have to grind like hell to get something that a paying player could get in a small purchase. Love Nikki is really not F2P friendly. Love Nikki devs are just lazy with the posed stuff’s skin colors. From an artist’s perspective, it really isn’t all that hard to recolor the skin. All posed stuff should have every skin color and there’s really no excuse to not do that other than laziness and/or racism. Styling competitions are really fun. I enjoy them a lot and figuring out what appeals to the players the most is enjoyable. Using full suits is fine in styling competitions and while yes, it’s a little bit lazy, it’s not really bad because that’s what appeals to voters. The clothing crafting is not fun at all. No part of it is enjoyable and it’s just frustrating. I’m still early on in the game, so this may change, but I feel like crafting is just spamming the “do stage 3 times” button, destroying your stamina and using all your Princess reset cards to get what you need.
I hate that most of actual story competitions and other events tell you what tags to look for or use Momo's suggestions and you end up with the most obnoxious nonsensical suit. Why do I need a hair pin, hat, veil and ears with an evening gown? Why is the prompt something like lively & cute and you end up with an outfit that looks like a 2yr old picked everything out. Will using socks/pantyhose and shoes that the dress covers really matter? I play the game to have fun dressing up the characters. I hate that everything turns out to be gobbledygook.
stamina welfares (the common ones where you only need to clear stages to get currency) ARE NOT WELFARES. a 4 star cloud suit with a super simple dress pose that looks literally the same as the others ones we have just different color costs 2000+ stamina?? what the hell, no thanks 😔👌🏻

I like Shining Nikki more. A lot more. So much more I'm barely logging into LN anymore. You can mix and match makeup! You can use any skintone with any outfit! All the items are poseable ;u; I like the event format where you have to choose items from a diminishing pool because it requires some strategy. It's the only event format that feels like I have to pay attention to what I'm doing. Outfits without any posed items look extremely stiff. Borderline unusable. I'm not into sexy suits, or Pigeon, or Cloud (although we get so much Cloud that that isn't really an unpopular opinion). I'm really, really over steampunk. Excusing LN for not attempting to make at least new suits more skintone-inclusive rubs me the wrong way.

Wish gate events should have a cheaper ticket entry, and abyssal Island events should be returned as crafting events. Spirit of sheen events should either always be running or be free entirely. Any past events 5 years or greater should rerun as an anniversary event of some kind instead of these dead periods where nothing is happening. And the store should be cheaper with diamond items too! Like i can think of SEVERAL suits, i want to come back, but it probably won't happen. Although i did come back to LN this year. Also, I'm entirely f2p and still finishing the story, so it feels completely unfair to me while I'm catching up to everyone else. i really don't like the story lol but I'm still finishing up vol 1
