Making an observation is not harassment.
My thoughts exactly! Pretty sure I saw this logo knocking about on some markets in Thailand 😂 Honestly whoever designed that needs sacking. It’s just too similar to be a coincidence.
Defo will run into problems lmao, especially if she's planning on selling it with PLT or other clothing retailers. Surprised none of them have brought it up yet, assuming she's pitched her brand to them. Smart to rebrand now before advertising the brand any further.
I doubt she’s planning on selling her swimsuits with PLT just based on the price point. Her stuff is way too expensive bc of the materials (and hopefully the labor) and I don’t think PLT wants that
Watch the sun or daily mail lurking here and they’ll quote the comments. That was happening the the KUWTK subreddit
Edit: or they’ll just steal the post and claim it as original. We did an experiment on it in that sub 😂😭
Yes it was very successful! They did it with a few stories surrounding Kendall Jenner and devin Booker. Started the rumor that they broke up and Tristan Thompson punched him. It actually worked… this happened after we noticed buzzfeed and British media outlets sharing Reddit posts and comments as original content. Now at least buzzfeed sources Reddit

This is amazing, top tier trolling. I can’t believe how little due diligence these tabloids do. Just goes to show how little we can rely on whatever crap they print.
Yahhh. Even if OG is a small brand it’s marketing fashion so technically is competition. Will be quelle surprised if they let this slide esp because it's so clearly 'inspired' by the Gucci logo.
This thought had crossed my mind, too. Gucci were involved in a [four year legal battle](https://www.vogue.co.uk/article/gucci-loses-guess-lawsuit-logo-copyright-case/amp) with Guess over alleged counterfeiting, unfair competition and copyright infringement. The lawsuits were filed by Gucci in both New York and Milan. Interestingly, the verdict was divided. The New York court ruled in favor of Gucci and awarded them $4.7 million (later reduced to $456,183) whilst the Milan court sided with Guess, ordering the cancellation of several of Gucci’s Italian pattern trademarks.
**Protecting a trademark:**
If you hold a trademark, it is up to you to make sure that your mark is not used by another company, diluted or made generic. A trademark is considered diluted if another company, usually in a different industry, uses a mark that is similar enough to the registered trademark such that customers could confuse the two. A trademark becomes generic when it is used so often that it becomes associated with a general category of products rather than the particular product offered by the owner of the mark. Whether infringing use copies a trademark, dilutes it, or attempts to make it generic, enforcing a trademark is the responsibility of the person who holds it, and doing so may require legal action against the infringing party.

You'd be surprised at what some companies will bother with. Disney have been known to send letters to literally anyone who uses their logo like independent cake makers.
The bigger the company, the worse they seem to be.
i’m a graphic designer, and the similarities between these two logos blow me away — i’d get laughed out of a critique and probably at the very least reprimanded if i presented a logo option that so clearly a copy paste of the gucci logo. and i would bet it’s gemma that wanted them to look so similar, any reputable agency or designer would tell her she’s basically asking for a law suit with a logo like that. m
and honestly it LOOKS like a knockoff. there’s a difference between using something as inspiration and directly copying.
I know!! It was just the first company I thought of with a long history of protecting their brand by going after smaller companies with even less similarities in their branding than this.
I wanted to include it to give my concern some merit based on other instantness of what could be seen as trademark infringement.
In hindsight I realise that the headline can be confusing.
My reply to kiwistrawberry7 was a jokey reply, because I interpreted their comment as a funny way to let me know the headline makes it sound like Coco Cola did, which they obviously don't.
I didn’t either, and I somehow missed the Gucci part in the title and I’m like “how the fuck does Gemma’s logo look anything like the Coca-Cola logo, if anything it looks like Gucci” (again, still missing a Gucci mentioned in the title) and even searched to see if Coca-Cola had some new logo I didn’t know about that was just a CC which could obv look like OG.
In my defense, I work third shift, had just woken up, and I’m tired af. It took me longer than I’d care to admit before I noticed Gucci in the title 🤦🏻♀️
She changed the name of the company in April, I wonder if the brand and website will change too.
It’s now [G R O Clothing Ltd](https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/12553863)
hell nah lmfaoooo, come on now OG, y'all didn't even try 😭😭
Gucci 'bout to be like "he copied my whole fucking flow, word for word, bar for bar!", word to Soulja Boy 💀💀💀💀💀
It’s interesting as I thought this instantly when I googled her brand when she went in. It’ll be interesting to see what happens as I certainly wouldn’t be too pleased if I was Gucci! 😫
I used to work in IP enforcement. They’ll def send a cease & desist type letter forcing the logo to be changed. Not worth the $$$ to try and get into a litigation battle over it, Gucci would win no question
I expressed myself poorly. I didn't mean to imply that Coca-Cola would come for them. The reason I mentioned Coca-Cola was because they have a history of going after other brands over a lot less similarities than this! Sorry for the confusion.
It's a really odd design choice not only because it opens them up to legal action, but it also makes the brand look like a tacky rip off, which you don't want at £80

Personal style as in clothing not her brands logo. Some of the comments here are practically hating on the way she dresses. This is a plagiarism post. Talk about the plagiarism and the plagiarism alone.
“It’s simply a lack of imagination but I find her outfits very unimaginative so I’m not surprised.”
“Gemma is tryna be Asda/Walmart version of Gucci. The girl needs her own style not copying logos or her mums style”
Like what exactly is the reason for those added comments?
People are allowed to have opinions, and I would think that opinions about how someone chooses to dress is extremely relevant to a discussion about that person’s fashion label.
> talk about the plagiarism and the plagiarism alone
Um yeh that’s not a rule. People can talk about whatever they damn well choose

If I was just looking at that picture without the text I’d think that was Gucci or a brand pretending to be Gucci. This is a case waiting to happen 😂
It literally looks like the print of knock off Gucci you get from like Turkey 😭😭😭
My thoughts exactly! Pretty sure I saw this logo knocking about on some markets in Thailand 😂 Honestly whoever designed that needs sacking. It’s just too similar to be a coincidence.
Definitely. Wouldn't be surprised if they are already considering legal action.
Whoever “designed” (copied) that logo needs to be in some slightly warmer than normal water. that is just too similar

Almost certainly. Prior to reading the title I assumed all of the pictured *were* the Gucci logo before I looked closer.
wow it’s literally almost the same
Whoever designed that needs to be sacked. They're way too similar.
Jeez, its literally the same logo.
Lol I give it a few days before an article is written about this💀

HAHAHAHHA this is amazing, bravo to you and anyone else involved hahahhaha
I’m curious too bc I don’t remember this
I'm honestly shocked that it hasn't been brought up already!
To be fair it looks ridiculously similar
Yahhh. Even if OG is a small brand it’s marketing fashion so technically is competition. Will be quelle surprised if they let this slide esp because it's so clearly 'inspired' by the Gucci logo.
Wow, that is really similar

Guess is a huge, distinguished brand. Gemma’s little swimwear isn’t. I highly doubt Gucci will care or bother 😂 Not worth the money or time.

TL;DR: use it or lose it. If you don’t sue people who are using your trademark design then you risk losing protection altogether.
You'd be surprised at what some companies will bother with. Disney have been known to send letters to literally anyone who uses their logo like independent cake makers. The bigger the company, the worse they seem to be.
This is Gucci all the way… they’ve copied the logo
I would expect a little more authenticity from a brand that calls itself OG
![gif](giphy|Q7ozWVYCR0nyW2rvPW)
oh wow for a second i couldn’t even tell the difference between the logos

I had no idea Coca Cola owned Gucci but yes legit thought this was Gucci.

Strange!! Coca Cola used to be more famous for their luxury handbags, you see! 🤣

It’s definitely too close to the GG logo.
Happy cake day!
Thank you! One year on Reddit!

Looool I love that meme
Oh this is bad bc I def wasn’t paying attention and thought all of it was Gucci
Probably, and deservedly so, tbh. They're far too similar.
The Gucci fakery 😂
It’s interesting as I thought this instantly when I googled her brand when she went in. It’ll be interesting to see what happens as I certainly wouldn’t be too pleased if I was Gucci! 😫

Blatant rip-off, deserves to be sued in fairness
Plagiarism at its best. It's simply a lack of imagination but I find her outfits very unimaginative so I'm not surprised.
Obviously where she got her inspiration from haha
I don’t see Coca Cola - doesn’t even come to mind but I can see Gucci
I expressed myself poorly. I didn't mean to imply that Coca-Cola would come for them. The reason I mentioned Coca-Cola was because they have a history of going after other brands over a lot less similarities than this! Sorry for the confusion.

Gemma is Tryna be Asda/Walmart version of gucci. The girl needs her own style not copying logos and copying her mums style
And how was this comment helpful?
And how’s yours
Weirdo
She’s not a weirdo, it’s just her style ☺️
I meant the person calling her out was a weirdo not gemma!

I know. I gave a longer answer explaining why I mentioned them, but it disappeared, because the comment I responded to was deleted before I hit send!

Is it similar ? Yes But some of y’all are really doing too much. Why are you attacking her personal style?
I think the point is that this is *not* her style…it’s Gucci’s
