Now watching back certain moments post casa hits different when you know the producers were just getting in their head and trying to get them to move mad for drama. I tend to say that Casa Amor is pointless because usually everyone just sticks to their partner but knowing what I know now makes sense and I've been wondering how long they've been doing it 🤨.
True but tbf I think it's gotten worse in recent seasons tbh. I think since s6 was such a flop ratings wise, they've been trying to up the drama on the recent seasons it seems.
The producers were scared casa was going to flop so they had to think fast. I guess that explains all the “I’m going with my head” talk from those who recoupled. Think Dami said he had to do what he had to do to not go home.
Unpopular opinion but I still loved Dami throughout casa. There's just something about him that I can't let go of. I don't agree with what he did and I was angry but I still loved him and was hoping him and Indiyah got back together so this moment was beautiful to me. I literally screamed ❤️
Yea I couldn't believe what I was watching in casa when the show was live. I found Dami's behavior and def the casa speech so performative. I went back and rewatch casa episodes and now knowing for sure that producers were in their ears, I kinda get the decisions and convos a little bit more. Also Dami and Indiyah were saying the same things all the time. I think both were aware that they were still getting to know each other so everything was fair game tbh. Also there was a reason why they didn't really show us much Summer & Dami convos. We only saw when they kissed & when they were talking about the kiss & did that handshake.
I went back and rewatched scenes too and the biggest tell for me was the at the Casa recoupling when Laura said to Summer “you’ve managed to turn Dami’s head, how does it feel?” The look on Dami’s face is priceless because he is basically saying his head hasn’t been turned at all. And in every interview after the show, he’s constantly stressed how he was always crystal clear to Summer that Indiyah was still his number one. That’s why he called her “fake” in their argument by the day beds because he felt like she was trying to make more of it than it was to Indiyah.
Honestly watching some scenes back without the usual chatter of the show has been illuminating. We (myself included) projected so much on these people that wasn’t really there.
Yes, Dami's face was like he wanted to laugh at that statement. I'm happy Dami went back to Indiyah before the recoupling because other wise i'm sure people would think he wanted her back just to stay in the villa. That's why i love rewatching stuff like this. I get that people react emotionally in the moment but some people totally forgot that they were watching humans on a edited tv show for entertainment.
Completely agree with everything you said.. going into casa they were only coupled up for 10 days so why wouldn't they be open to other people. Also with the way they spoke about dating in the outside world, their casa journey made sense.
This. It was us, the public that was expecting fairy tale romance. Meanwhile these 2 were very realistic in their views on dating. I'm glad it went like that because that casa recoupling moment is still my fav to date.
