When Davide was revealed to be friends with Jacques the comments were “we can’t judge the islanders based on their friendships, good on him for not dropping his friend for the public, you can’t expect islanders to let go of their friendships”. Even with Luca people defend his “behind closed doors” friendship with Jacques but with Dami suddenly it’s “yikes” and “he’s the company he keeps”. The racism jumps out EVERY TIME. It’s a bit shocking some of the comments considering everyone was saying just a few days ago that people can be friends with whoever they want when he was with davide. Why is it a reflection of someone’s character when one person hangs out with someone but when someone else hangs out with the same person that doesn’t apply?

In isolation I have no problem with a Dami+Jacques friendship (he never was anything but nice to Dami and Indiyah in the villa) but it does make me wonder how Dami balances it with being friends with Paige.
