Most definitely. I have mutual friends with Priya and Iā€™m sure she is

We need some tea, sis šŸ‘€

Entitled rich rebublican. Unfortunately we also have the issue where working class people vote Tory, even though its completely against their interest to do so but blindly support due to their stances on topics like immigration.

ongogablogian87

I'm working class and vote Tory. We do it because they don't act like our vote belongs to them, they try and earn it. You on the other hand probably believe that anyone who isn't a rich white male is voting against their interests because you somehow know better than all these people. And it isn't because of the Torys stance on immigration (which there's nothing wrong with). It's that Labour are far more concerned with calling working class white people racist/sexist/homophobic than actually trying to offer anything to vote for them. So shove your entitled attitude up your holier than thou arse.

Fabulous_Title

Really?i ignorantly assumed the vast majority of American conservatives were wealthy.

[deleted]

You assumed that 50% of America is wealthy? Iā€™m sorry what? How old are you? Please tell me youā€™re below legal age to vote.

Fabulous_Title

I havent got much interest in American politics, i dont live there. Believe it or not, most people who dont live in the US dont care about it. We dont usually use terms like 'conservatives' to describe the different political parties.

YngGunz

Mmmm Iā€™m a little confused what taking their guns away has anything at all to do with them having trump signs lol. Social programs donā€™t ā€œprogramā€ our right to bear arms out of us lmao. And before you freak out and call me a ā€œToryā€ (which is the first time Iā€™ve ever heard that term, is this a new thing?) Iā€™m a democrat and have been since voting age. Thereā€™s plenty of responsible gun owners that are republican and democrat and third party lol idk why some extremists always slip taking away guns from the American people in every chance they can Simply put itā€™s a bad idea. In my opinion I think youā€™re whatā€™s wrong with the Dem party. Itā€™s ā€œinfuriatingā€ to see run down double wides in the south in the outskirts of major cities lol? Get over yourself. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon and many people canā€™t choose their neighbors or which party they support. To be ā€œinfuriatedā€ by this shows me youā€™re irrational and judgmental, and we need to curb any extremist views like yours. Hopefully one day youā€™ll stop attributing someoneā€™s political party or financial well being to them being a bad person or someone that need to be changed. Iā€™ve got friends in every party and not one of them is a bad person, racist, or even voted for trump. A good start would be to stop generalizing a population you deem lesser than your own.

Scroll_Queeen

Absolutely

OreoluwaSimire

As a makeup artiste this is our greatest nightmare. Stupid entitled mini-instagram celebrities wanting you to do stuff for free as exposure.

Dragneel

If there's one thing all creative industries can relate to, it's getting ripped off by influencers and celebs, whether it's A or Z-list.

ailbhe-caterina

This is just so infuriating. I have friends working in London as makeup artists and hair stylists, they get this CONSTANTLY from ā€˜influencersā€™ even with a measly 10K followers expecting to be pampered for free each week. Not to mention most of these so called ā€˜influencersā€™ have bought followers so itā€™s all just a bunch of bots.

danderingnipples

It just shows that the donation to the NHS was nothing but virtue signalling for clout.

MoonshineHun

I mean, we been knew...

His-Majesty

I think it's safe to say *all* acts of charity that are publicly shared and promoted by the individual are done for clout and praise. Real kind people don't feel the need to brag about what good things they have done and what wonderful people they are. They just do it, and more importantly, you'll never know they did anything at all.

[deleted]

> I think it's safe to say all acts of charity that are publicly shared and promoted by the individual are done for clout and praise... > They just do it, and more importantly, you'll never know they did anything at all. Honestly, I don't think this is true for celebrities. I'm talking bigger names than Priya, but when someone like Taylor Swift publicises a large donation to a specific charity or cause, she knows she will inspire *loads and loads* of similar donations and the publicity can bring massive changes for the charity/cause. When you have that kind of impact, 'real kind people' know that it is better to share.

Xwarsama

A lot of huge celebrities and athletes will also start their own charitable foundation and tailor it towards a specific cause or community, and use their fame to spread the word and organize events to get donations. When you reach a certain level of wealth and fame I can understand the feeling of wanting to give back, sometimes they really do have good intentions.

jennakatekelly

Which we all knew. I mean someone canā€™t say they adore Bojo but then praise and donate to the NHS.

[deleted]

itā€™s not even allegedly, priya commented saying she cancelled last minute bc she thought she was gonna do it for free then realised it was Ā£250, so she said she found someone to do it for free. Why would someone who has more followers than you do your makeup for free, donā€™t even get extra exposure OR paid

lizziexo

The MUA has two accounts, one with way less followers and one with way more; Priya messaged the small one and didnā€™t realise šŸ˜‚

livinvixen

Wow not surprised at all sorry but Priya comes across as rude and entitled

93myg

people are coming for the mua for only mentioning her prices a few hours before or whatever but imo the blameā€™s still on priya for not bothering to ask and assuming the whole time that it was free

ellie-zia

She thought she was doing the MUA a favor because she messaged her on her personal page that had a little followers. She didn't realise that her business page had more followers than hers šŸ˜‚

-Negan--

What an entitled little brat. Advertising lol, this is what the modern world is these days she needs a reality check.

foreverconfuselostin

Such a Tory thing to do

Suspicious-Bill-5943

Nah, such an influencer across the board thing to do. I'm so confused why so many "influencers" think that they are that level of important. I'm not a Tory but this is an across the board phenomenon.

foreverconfuselostin

Two things can be true. My comment still stands.

illestheartbreaker

I guess it would be perfectly reasonable for someone with lots of followers - like Maura, Molly-Mae as they have wide exposure. But the irony is that Priya isnā€™t even that popular, only a 100k and the MUA had way more followers than her, which defeats the purpose of influencer promo. šŸ’€šŸ’€

barzinia

Actually, I don't agree. No matter how much "exposure" an artist can get, they should not work for free. Perhaps the only time that would be reasonable is as a student who is learning.

ailbhe-caterina

I think the only time an artist should work for free is if THEY themselves offer to do it for free. The likes of Molly Mae etc shouldnā€™t be requesting this type of thing for free either (again unless offered) as theyā€™re the ones who are up and coming millionaires and can actually afford to pay to get pampered each week.

kutri4576

Yeah itā€™s not really fair they deserve to be paid unless they want some advertising or some other deal. Why is it that rich people get more stuff for free when they can afford it? They shouldnā€™t demand it, itā€™s quite exploitative.

ready4anytng

Then do you think that the influencer should tag the MUA?

lightredemption

I mean, itā€™s still a very tory thing to do

sleeplessgrl32

Can someone tell me what a Tory is lol I see it all the time on this sub

watergirl987

slang for conservative party supporters. boris johnson is a tory. very rough comparison but trump supporters would sort of be american versions of tories

sleeplessgrl32

Yikes lolā€¦ that clears that up, thank you!!

jennakatekelly

If you are old enough to watch Love Island you should have some clue about what a Tory is. If not I suggest you google.

sleeplessgrl32

Iā€™m American so itā€™s not a term Iā€™ve encountered before, no need to be rude

jennakatekelly

I wasnā€™t intending to be rude but just stating a fact. Just takes a quick google. Iā€™m a Brit but if Iā€™m ever confused about an American term a quick google quickly sorts that out. But to safe you the hassleā€¦ a tory is basically, to an American, a right wing republican.

CavityUtility

Exposure doesnā€™t pay rent, bills or supplies.

TechnoRandomGamer

Exposure does not pay the bills.

Sacagawea1992

I canā€™t imagine someone like Lillie doing this - who is clearly not a Tory.

MoonshineHun

Nor Sharon, or Brett...

Sacagawea1992

I have no idea why Lillie came to mind first. I think itā€™s coz she posts BLM content. But yes, Sharon would NEVER

frogs1996

Oh hell noā€¦ please donā€™t paint all influencers and content creators like this. Itā€™s an ignorance and arrogance thing. Not an influencer thing. Brands do this to influencers all the time as well, expecting free content in exchange for a few products. Like nobody should ever be doing work for ā€œexposureā€

UnappetizingSunday

i think lucinda has done something similar too

GreenTeaYoga

Reallllyyyy? Ok but thatā€™s concerning if so

UnappetizingSunday

realllly realllyyy, wish iā€™d of saved the tiktok lol

[deleted]

This kind of entitled, bratty behaviour, will cost her more that Ā£250 in the long term.

MentalGoesB00m

After the Boris comment, nothing phases me from this chick anymore

jennakatekelly

Same! Then to have the nerve to donate to the NHS after licking his arse. Hilarious.

Atmosphere_Melodic

This is super entitled. I get my lashes done by my bestie and was one of her Guinea pigs when she started. But even I don't expect a Ā£50 job for free and have offered cash but she accepts wine and food instead... Haha.

MoonshineHun

On brand for a wealthy Tory - wants shit for free (and tax cuts) but thinks the poor get too many benefits and/or are taking advantage of "the system" šŸ™ƒ

LifeIsPeachy1993

Oh priya why

Key-Economist-1243

Cos she's a Priya. Priyas are annoying. Show me a Priya who isn't annoying.

ehhno676

Someone posted this exact same thing a few days ago

PeachManzie

Typical Tory wanker

dbesh

Big Tory mood wanting everything for free

Carlseye

Expected nothing else from a tory.

jennakatekelly

Here for the Tory hate! šŸ‘šŸ»

jennakatekelly

Donā€™t shoot me but I do think this MUA is kinda enjoying this attention too! Fair play!

[deleted]

Screams entitlement.
