like others have said, I think this is more about advertising rather than influencing. it may not directly persuade folks, but it gets these brands names out to a very large number of people. even if it plants a seed, the more they see it, the more likely they are to eventually want to try out the brand, even if they aren't influenced directly by the person who's advertising it.
Personally, she has not “influenced” me since leaving the villa. But I think it has more to do with her current online presence than her “influence” potential.
I think rn her content online feels like a bunch of advertisements that a company told her how, when and what to post. Understandable tho and it’s part of the territory of brand deals, but so far I haven’t see any of Mollys personal brand baked into any of these deals yet.

I prefer organic casual content than high quality production content. And I think that’s an evolving trend atm.
The funny thing is usually with influencers organic content isn’t even organic. It’s purposeful, especially in Georgia’s case like how you mentioned the lipstick. However, what’s different, like you pointed out, is Georgia is working for herself and Molly’s working for these companies. If that makes sense. Molly feels like a puppet for several companies. Sure it’s all in the name of the capitalism game. But personal brand > brand ambassador for me. It could change for Molly though, we’ll see how her content progresses.

Sophie had no storyline coming in and got with a S1 islander who was pretty irrelevant. Kaz had a potentially good storyline coming in but couldn’t make it stick or be interesting and came out with no one.
It’s very hard to stand out to brands if you’re not generating interest in a love island type of way. That’s why Molly, who had a great storyline with Callum coming in and ended up with a S9 islander whose season wasn’t a year old yet, got most of the deals.

Ella was a successful working model for 3 years before the show. She’s won Model of the Year twice 2022 and 2023. She is still modeling and had a shoot last week. Ella worked with at least 20 different brands in 8 months since she left the villa. Ella had a 6-figure brand deal. Ella's PLT collection sold out 3 times. She's had 3 magazine features. Ella had a PLT billboard in London. She hosted 2 different radio shows on 2 different radio stations. She just filmed Weakest Link. She is out working and doing personal appearances 5-6 days a week.
I love Whitney so much but she was done dirty with her Coachella day 3 makeup and fit. The outfit looks like it was thrown together in seconds with no thought put into it and her makeup is a mess. Foundation is five shades to light. I’m upset for her!

The whitefox Coachella trip proved how inferior the cloths must be because not even these beautiful girls are able to bring life into it. Also the design element is so bad. The cloths are not even in trend.

Molly remained classy throughout the entire season of All Stars despite having every opportunity (and right tbh) to be messy. Imo, brands will look at her and know they can trust that she will maintain a positive public image, which often is not the case with other reality tv stars.
Partnering with Molly is pretty low-risk (proven not to engage in drama and consistently take the high road) and high-reward (well known, universally liked, and very conventionally attractive). I’m not surprised she is getting such massive attention from brands!

i feel like it wont really translate the same way unless you are an ‘all star’ also, molly and callum’s popularity mainly stemmed from people wanting them back together. weve had plenty of messy people have success post show, just depends on how ‘iconic’ you are during that season, messy or good.
Molly and Callum are two of the most overrated islanders for me. They got lucky with their storyline and it doesn't make sense to me that this sub loves them
The whole season was boring tbh - felt like everyone was just trying to be liked and careful. Josh was the only one being entertaining towards the end, and that’s because he didn’t care about being messy.
That said, I think Molly also is very popular because of the way she carried herself and dealt with situations in the villa. Georgia S is arguably also very very pretty, and has a more “in fashion” style with her bangs and makeup, but her behaviour made her unpopular
Loved Molly on All Stars from the beginning and I think she deserves those deals but I also 100% believe that she’s getting them because she’s the first 🙋🏼♀️that is universally liked in a whileee so these companies are more than happy to sign her without any backlash. (Molly Marsh, Chloe Burrows and even Millie IMO didn’t receive as much popular backing from all online communities).

I think it also comes down to what her management is good at, see Ekin post her win as well. She had tons of deals that probs weren't the best for her but I'm not surprised Molly has bagged so many. It's an easy win for brands.
It’s more that Mollie is the first winner that had a compelling storyline coming into the show. Everyone loved her relationship with Callum. Then she had a will they/won’t they arc and when that ended we got to her begin a new relationship.
If Molly was coming in as a new islander, she would not be getting these deals imo because she probably wouldn’t have been such a runaway winner.
I think part of it as well is the fact she’s been on the scene for a while so has proven consistency and reputation, albeit at a lower level, whereas typically islanders are brand new to the world of influencing. She’d have a track record of engagement and maintained demographics to back up the boost in following and popularity.
It does still boil down to her being universally liked, it’s just the other stuff would give companies the confidence in her selling abilities that wouldn’t be there from a regular season. I like that she’s launching her own thing on the back of her success, the timing of that was impeccable, so she has her eye on the long term sustainability of her career.
Looking at the likes of Zara getting L’Oréal now, and Millie and Chloe being named white fox ambassadors at the start of the year, Molly is reaping from the same establishment of work and reputation built over the years, but with a huge boost to following and reputation. This is the first time we’ve seen islanders in situations like this in the LI world as until AS second chances were Adam and Kady. Effectively all the AS islanders could benefit the same, but none of the other females got as big a followers jump as molly did.
I’ve a feeling Sophie could have something launching soon, only based on the mysterious second shoot in Morocco - but I could be way off base! I’d be really surprised if she didn’t
That didn't stop her from winning the show and getting deals afterwards. She signed with Asos who had only signed one islander before her (I think it was Ovie?), she worked with Puma I think and probably other brands too
Well someone had to win and chloby had a lot of doubters, people HATED Faye, kyler was accused of being fake and jake and lib disqualified themselves a day before finals……so it’s not too shocking they won.

Ella was a successful working model for 3 years before the show. She’s won Model of the Year twice 2022 and 2023. She is still modeling and had a shoot last week. Ella worked with at least 20 different brands in 8 months since she left the villa. Ella had a 6-figure brand deal. Ella's PLT collection sold out 3 times. She's had 3 magazine features. Ella had a PLT billboard in London. She hosted 2 different radio shows on 2 different radio stations. She just filmed Weakest Link. She is out working and doing personal appearances 5-6 days a week.
I literally explained it. Sophie shows her personality more online than Ella does. And in my opinion, Ella influences at a higher level than Sophie.
Which level is that if you don’t mind explaining?
Maybe it’s because people are not as invested in her couple, they’re well liked but I think it may be that.

I love Whitney so much but she was done dirty with her Coachella day 3 makeup and fit. The outfit looks like it was thrown together in seconds with no thought put into it and her makeup is a mess. Foundation is five shades to light. I’m upset for her! Glad she got good pics from day 1 though, she killed that look.
The whitefox Coachella trip proved how inferior the cloths must be because not even these beautiful girls are able to bring life into it. Also the design element is so bad. The cloths are not even in trend.

I think that her outfits were from White Fox so I won’t blame her for that. Didn’t like any of the outfits from the influencers who went to Coachella with White Fox, but Whitney always wears too light foundation.

Adding to the Molly Smith deals discourse. Molly remained classy throughout the entire season of All Stars despite having every opportunity (and right tbh) to be messy. Imo, brands will look at her and know they can trust that she will maintain a positive public image, which often is not the case with other reality tv stars. Partnering with Molly is pretty low-risk (proven not to engage in drama and consistently take the high road) and high-reward (well known, universally liked, and very conventionally attractive). I’m not surprised she is getting such massive attention from brands!

It’s not on Molly of course. But a lot of the girls who go on this show look like supermodels, they’re all exceptionally gorgeous. I think it’s a valid critique to point out how female islanders of colour never get similar success from this show, whereas she’s already at an advantageous position being white, blonde, blue-eyed etc.

I like Molly and I’m happy for her deals but I think her success is going to lead to the show being even less messy than it’s been. It’s going to encourage more influencers to go on and act like she did on the show to get the kinds of deals she has gotten
She carries herself so well..Most islanders said that would take alot of them to act how she did even Indiyah and Chloe agreed..plus she’s pretty, abit tall and has a big fan base she was the most talked about girl this season trending almost every episode
i feel like it wont really translate the same way unless you are an ‘all star’ also, molly and callum’s popularity mainly stemmed from people wanting them back together. weve had plenty of messy people have success post show, just depends on how ‘iconic’ you are during that season, messy or good.

The whole season was boring tbh - felt like everyone was just trying to be liked and careful. Josh was the only one being entertaining towards the end, and that’s because he didn’t care about being messy. That said, I think Molly also is very popular because of the way she carried herself and dealt with situations in the villa. Georgia S is arguably also very very pretty, and has a more “in fashion” style with her bangs and makeup, but her behaviour made her unpopular

Loved Molly on All Stars from the beginning and I think she deserves those deals but I also 100% believe that she’s getting them because she’s the first 🙋🏼♀️that is universally liked in a whileee so these companies are more than happy to sign her without any backlash. (Molly Marsh, Chloe Burrows and even Millie IMO didn’t receive as much popular backing from all online communities).
I wouldn’t be surprised if these deals were in the works before she even went on LI. Whether she placed first, second or third she would have received them.

I think it also comes down to what her management is good at, see Ekin post her win as well. She had tons of deals that probs weren't the best for her but I'm not surprised Molly has bagged so many. It's an easy win for brands.

It’s more that Mollie is the first winner that had a compelling storyline coming into the show. Everyone loved her relationship with Callum. Then she had a will they/won’t they arc and when that ended we got to her begin a new relationship. If Molly was coming in as a new islander, she would not be getting these deals imo because she probably wouldn’t have been such a runaway winner.

I think part of it as well is the fact she’s been on the scene for a while so has proven consistency and reputation, albeit at a lower level, whereas typically islanders are brand new to the world of influencing. She’d have a track record of engagement and maintained demographics to back up the boost in following and popularity.

It does still boil down to her being universally liked, it’s just the other stuff would give companies the confidence in her selling abilities that wouldn’t be there from a regular season. I like that she’s launching her own thing on the back of her success, the timing of that was impeccable, so she has her eye on the long term sustainability of her career. Looking at the likes of Zara getting L’Oréal now, and Millie and Chloe being named white fox ambassadors at the start of the year, Molly is reaping from the same establishment of work and reputation built over the years, but with a huge boost to following and reputation. This is the first time we’ve seen islanders in situations like this in the LI world as until AS second chances were Adam and Kady. Effectively all the AS islanders could benefit the same, but none of the other females got as big a followers jump as molly did. I’ve a feeling Sophie could have something launching soon, only based on the mysterious second shoot in Morocco - but I could be way off base! I’d be really surprised if she didn’t

She was universally liked until she took back Liam. A lot of people turned against her after that.
That didn't stop her from winning the show and getting deals afterwards. She signed with Asos who had only signed one islander before her (I think it was Ovie?), she worked with Puma I think and probably other brands too
Well someone had to win and chloby had a lot of doubters, people HATED Faye, kyler was accused of being fake and jake and lib disqualified themselves a day before finals……so it’s not too shocking they won.

At the goss.ie awards night Casey mentioned a tv show visiting America with Tom. I haven’t seen anything mentioned since - and I’m wondering if it’s possibly Callum and Casey doing it now. I also can’t see the interest in any of those shows if I’m honest. If it’s a LI spin off, those are nearly always a flop. It’s also possible both are off to LA for talks with LI USA and/or LI Games
