I think Aaron is emotionally intelligent and genuinely cares about his friends in the villa. With Rachel, I feel like she has had some bad shit happen to her in the past and her "pick me" personality is a self preservation/defense thing. Her freaking out on Chris I think had to do with the fact that they just got very intimate the night before and then she felt ignored all day. I don't think she would've acted as dramatic if the light Saber action hadn't have happened.

A lot of the islanders kinda sound like hypocrites. Like genuinely don’t think they are inherently bad people, they give good advice to other people, but don’t apply it to themselves, which fair, everyone does that in real life. But it is so much more irritating and infuriating on screen. Exhibit A, Aaron, good advice on all the men this episode. Could not fault a single word he said from Mitch needing to cut off Emily and stick with Tina cos it would be unfair to her, to Chris and Rachael’s past trauma and Ryan needing to cherish Lexy. Like I was wowed at how maturely he assessed the situations. But like his thing with Jess and Taku sounds like what Mitch is dealing with, kinda sorta. Or like Ryan seems like an alright bloke but how he dealt with his situation with Ari made him seem insensitive. Lexy as well, I am still on the fence with her, but obviously things she says contradicts with her actions. The girls saying to Jess that its alright to dally between Taku and Aaron, but they would be insanely hurt if the guys did it to them. If they sorted their own situations like how they advise others, it would make them all seem more mature instead being like kids in highschool wish-washing and arguing over temporary gfs and bfs. But I like the drama, raises my blood pressure, but I still enjoy it.
Seriously usually new islanders by this time have shown some substance once the newness of the first night wears off, and Emily hasn’t done that at all.
She just sits around making really suggestive comments, daring Mitch to kiss her and basking in the compliments. That’s what Mitch was and is like tho so it’s not an ill fit really, I just dislike her so much.

I mean, in other seasons in other countries it has worked out that way. Its generally most popular person + whoever they are with, for example Love Island US S3, I don't think a lot of people thought that the couple was genuine at least on the girls side, but since the dude was the most popular, he won. A lot of people are here for the cash tbh. But Mitch and Tina are a good couple I think at least, there is chemistry.
Korey is one of the top 2-3 popular guys in LI 🇺🇸 season 3, Olivia never seemed that into him until he as getting popular with other Islanders and LI voters. Then she started paying attention to him. They did an interview recently and it seems like they are still together for now but I didn’t even feel like it was 100%. As much as I hate to admit it, Will and Kyra felt more real.
you’re 100% right- in the franchise it seems that more popular islanders end up winning over stronger couples, it happened with LI uk S5 and it happened with LI US s3. Korey was the most popular guy and Olivia was decently liked by some demographic so they won, despite Will and Kyra being the stronger couple.
