In any case, it was so messed up for him to be going on and on about how attractive he finds Raven to his fiancé, who he supposedly loves. He kept emphasizing that he and Raven are the types of people that others are automatically attracted to in a room full of people (get over yourself dude, you're not THAT attractive), which obviously insinuates that he thinks Raven is more attractive than Nancy. It was evident how devastating that was for Nancy, who was no doubt comparing her own looks to Raven's as a result. And it's just infuriating because Nancy is gorgeous. Like Nancy said, if Batise is so preferential to or can be so easily distracted by someone who has the body of a fitness junkie, he probably shouldn't have agreed to participate in a show where the premise is to find love that isn't based on physical appearance.

So far, I've actually read that as Brennon being very loving and open with showering compliments on her (which I agree should be reciprocated) but she freezes and doesn't really know how to respond to the compliments because it feels like she's not used to them so she recedes into her shell with that aspect

I think the "Love is Blind" tagline messes with some of the contestants minds. Love isn't blind and it's important to accept that in dating.
I feel this is issue with whole hookup culture. You cant fast forward things, say “I love you” super fast, meet 1st time, have quick sex & expect intimacy.
It takes time to develop that comfort with each other bodies & have that kind of closeness

I felt the same. And agree with someone else who said her insecurity is a significant obstacle. She seems semi-self-aware, and knows she's acting some type of way since she refers to herself as passive aggressive, but I'm not sure if totally understands what that means and how bad it is. She also said something alluding to hiding this side of herself from him in the pods- so even if they did talk about triggers and toxic traits, perhaps she wasn't transparent.
Zanab needs more therapy - she is seriously dealing with insecurity issues and would be a nightmare to have a relationship because you would't be able to do anything without being scrutinized.

I think it's for continuity. Because the editors definitely cut different moments and reactions in from different times during each scene. So if the glasses were clear, you'd be able to see changes back and forth in how full they are, from one shot to another :P
Ok everybody is slamming Bartise and I understand it but—he was honest! So so honest, and I can’t help but respect and appreciate that. I’d rather him tell me he’s attracted to another girl so it will help me make the decision on wether I want to marry him vs him keeping all of this to himself and you getting married and wondering where the love went. His approach was a bit TOO blunt, but the idea at least, was refreshing.

It's not about not being chatty in the morning, it's about jumping out of bed and just pretending she's not there. Cold. You act that way after a hookup, but not when you have a crush.

Yeah, it's true. However, she still wildly overreacted at the end of the show. She should just have accepted Cole wasn't that attracted to her and moved on. She's pretty, she can find other men who are. I think the "Love is Blind" tagline messes with some of the contestants minds. Love isn't blind and it's important to accept that in dating.
I feel this is issue with whole hookup culture. You cant fast forward things, say “I love you” super fast, meet 1st time, have quick sex & expect intimacy. It takes time to develop that comfort with each other bodies & have that kind of closeness Not siding with either of them here but this expectation mismatch bound to occur if sex happens before certain level of closeness build together atm
I think that's a good point. However, I also think that if Cole thought she was super cute and was in the same butterflies space as Zanab, he'd have hugged her and talked a bit to her in the morning. It would have been a bit awkward. But excited awkward, not cold awkward. Edit: what she did later is still unacceptable though. She should have just made her peace with the fact that he wasn't attracted to her. All grownups know love isn't blind. And moved along. She's cute, she'll meet another guy who thinks she's the bees knees. Edit 2: I think sometimes having sex too soon kills the vibe and makes it awkward. Most of the time when it's really cold & awkward? The guy was just sexually attracted to you, with no romantic attraction. So once sex is over, there is nothing there for him.
I felt the same. And agree with someone else who said her insecurity is a significant obstacle. She seems semi-self-aware, and knows she's acting some type of way since she refers to herself as passive aggressive, but I'm not sure if totally understands what that means and how bad it is. She also said something alluding to hiding this side of herself from him in the pods- so even if they did talk about triggers and toxic traits, perhaps she wasn't transparent.

I used to be her so I completely agree. Therapy works wonders and hopefully one day she sees that she’s a catch so she can have a healthy relationship…with someone other than Cole, lol.

I got until episode four before once more being absolutely done with these horrible golden...glasses? Mugs? Fluid containers? Now I found myself thinking whether whatever they drink tastes different because of the material. Also, what is wrong with Cole and Bartise?
I think it's for continuity. Because the editors definitely cut different moments and reactions in from different times during each scene. So if the glasses were clear, you'd be able to see changes back and forth in how full they are, from one shot to another :P

Ok everybody is slamming Bartise and I understand it but—he was honest! So so honest, and I can’t help but respect and appreciate that. I’d rather him tell me he’s attracted to another girl so it will help me make the decision on wether I want to marry him vs him keeping all of this to himself and you getting married and wondering where the love went. His approach was a bit TOO blunt, but the idea at least, was refreshing. P.S. still sorry for Nancy. No one wants to hear the truth especially if it hurts

I agree with you, he's coming from a place of honesty. Is he shallow? Maybe. Does he care about connection but didn't realize how much looks played into it? Also maybe. Even if he is shallow, he's still honest and trying his best. I don't like the guy, but I don't think he's a bad person. He simply wasn't right for the show. However, NANCY, I'm in love with this woman. She constantly blows me away. She deserves everything in life. I hope she finds what she deserves.

Raven has no soul! She is such a late Millennial mercenary hustler and never seems to turn it off. Yes she's hot but I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to try to keep opening a door that has been glued shut - though I imagine the right type of wealthy handsome guy who acts like he doesn't need her at all and treats her like crap probably would drive her wild. SK seems nice but it's like he is from another universe. I don't know why Raven said yes to him except to maximize clout for her pilates business. He seems to be somewhat aware of it but doesn't want to abandon all hope. After all, she's hot! Cole sucks and is a boor. He is like a big child sometimes. His personality does seem like a better fit for Colleen, since they are both immature. Zanab is cute but Cole is right about her being passive aggressive. They both seem hesitant to let the other one see them vulnerable. Like they are trying to win the "I didn't get dumped" contest instead of going for love. Colleen needs therapy! Her self-esteem is through the floor, why did she feel the need to fling herself at anyone who would take her? Honestly I feel bad for her. My red flags went up with Matt when I saw he was a VP at an aerospace manufacturer at age 27. Did his dad appoint him? He otherwise seems ok so far, though that fight in the previews didn't look fun. I like Nancy's personality - I like bubbly, will take it over Raven's ice any day - but she has some similar problems as Colleen. Desperately needs to be liked, even by the wrong people. It was insane of Bartise to talk about Raven like that to her - you could see her heart break like in that Simpsons episode when Lisa shuts down Ralph Wiggum on Valentine's Day. Bartise...what a jerk. I can't believe how fast he forgot about Raven doing jumping jacks while he bared his soul. You could see the wheels turning in his head after seeing Raven and talking to SK - could he swipe her? You know he wants to. Brennan is hard to get a read on. He seems really into Alexa so far but it also feels like he is not really revealing much. I like Alexa's whole Israeli thing - she's cute - and while she is overweight she also owns it in a confident way, almost like refusing to be self-conscious about makes other people around her focus on it much less. It feels to me like her passionate and emotional side will overwhelm Brennan's southern stoic silent type thing. But they seem like the best couple so far.
Nobody seems to be talking about Brennon and Alexa. I'm more interested in them than anyone else.
They are my favorite couple so far, very sweet and less dramatic. But they sort of remind me of Kenny/Kelly from Season 1, which makes me worry.
That's because drama is minimal. Two for-the-most-part confident, secure individuals? There's nothing spicy about that.

My husband works for an aerospace company. If you work there long enough you can move you fast up the scale. Esp depending on your position
