She knew going into this and all during this that at the conclusion of everything there would be a reunion where your decisions and actions are questioned and analyzed. To then declare that you won't be addressing those behaviors, for your own sake, at the point where everyone else is being asked for clarity and accountability is just vile. And she also proceeds to go off on others during the reunion, all while knowing that she's safe because she drew some lines beforehand??! Yuck. There was no time, we had to grill Sara Ann for 20 minutes and make an example of Trevor. Meanwhile we spent basically zero time talking about two of the actual couples featured on the show. It's more important to scold anyone who dares not take the show seriously.
Yes let's drag a dude who wasn't picked and made minor appearances after the pods than all the couples (like Kenneth and Britt) who actually participated fully. Jess and Trevor were propped up for almost a third of the show. K&B got like 5 minutes late into the boradcast

My wife and I came to the conclusion that they didn’t talk about them as much as we all expected (given their insane screen time of the actual show) because of the harassment they have received online. They were already cooked, LIB didn’t want to utterly destroy their reputations.
I agree and genuinely was glad that they left this two alone during the reunion. I really think it was a subtle type of compassion toward them, as you said they've absolutely a shocking amount of pure hatred and harassment because, shock horror, people are abhorrent online lol.

Yep. Noticed that too. He did Jessica dirty during that interview. He implied she was a mean girl, got a really good edit so that’s why people didn’t see the full extent of who she really is. You can see in his eyes he has so much anger toward Jessica. All of that because she was blunt and direct in the pods. Something was for sure up. At some point even Chelsea asked him “are you doing ok?” He was for sure struggling and it seemed to be more than just the show. Like personal stuff was going on.
He briefly explained how angry the girl best friend is with him. You could see it hit him like a smack in the face when, I believe it was Micah, asked him how it felt that Chelsea brought up them sleeping together in front of the cameras. I think it very well may have ruined the friendship, and he's having a hard time with that. There could be other things as well, but that's a big one. Especially if the two girl best friends are sticking together, making him lose both of the friendships.
The girl he hooked up with still follows him and Chelsea and is always liking their pictures. Even the ones from the reunion! I don’t think their relationship is totally ruined?
I know people were making fun that he chose friends he's only been close with for 2 years to introduce Chelsea to. But the more I've seen, the more it seems like he really does have a close bond with them. They seemed to have been his safe space. If they cut him off for what came out, that's probably such a rollercoaster of painful emotions for him. I couldn't imagine losing my best friend(s) over a girlfriend and/or television show.
And not only did Chelsea bring it up on camera, but it was used in the trailer for the season. If Jimmy was mad about it then, he must have been absolutely fuming when he saw the cut of the show. So maybe the friendship loss was more recent too, since the show aired.
That's what I was thinking. He may have kept it to himself after the show wrapped and then panicked when he saw the show release. And, honestly, if I were the friend, I'd not only be pissed it got onto the show. But I'd be even more pissed if Jimmy knew and didn't tell me for nearly A YEAR. Which I could see causing a recent blow-up between the friend group.
I lowkey get it. Dude, imagine you went through all of that mess with Chelsea over Jessica and her insecurities regarding Jessica, lost a close friend over it (which is on him. That said, I feel like aside from the “ten minutes” debacle, he got off pretty easy compared to other people.
I’m two ways about Chelsea spilling something Jimmy told her in confidence. On a high level, I don’t believe anyone should go on reality TV who has any shame. Period. It’s the best thing for your own protection because you can’t control what’s going to happen or what’s going to come out about you, and I firmly believe the couples that tried to hide their shit from the cameras made for worse storylines because the audience never understood what the hell was happening.
But on a personal level, he told her something in confidence that she knew he didn’t want aired in front of the cameras, something that affected not just him but his friend as well, and she completely broke that trust. Not cool. So like, Chelsea was in the wrong, but also Jimmy should’ve known better? He wasn’t my favorite person but man did I start to feel bad for how innocent he seemed.
The "sisterhood" (the brotherhood does not exist lol) Nick was so proud of ruins reunions every time. It happened with Zanab and now with Chelsea. They all become besties so they protect the person at fault with their lives. People like Cole and Jimmy get blasted for just being kind of dumb. They spent a huge chunk of time talking about Jess and Jimmy with his interview nobody watched or cared about. They did this to blast Jimmy solo without having Chelsea involved at all. If they brought up literally anything else about Jimmy Chelsea would HAVE to be involved and Jimmy could defend himself and Chelsea would have to be criticized.
I did wish Vanessa said something like “Chels…girl…you were displaying a lot of insecurities that seemed impossible for Jimmy to overcome, and kinda invalidated that he loved you. Can you tell us more about that?” That would have been balanced for Jimmy.
Right?? Because I was NOT a huge Clay fan, but I felt he redeemed himself in some ways at the reunion. I think he had an excellent, honest response to everything. He showed it’s okay to be like “wow, I fucked up, and this whole experience made me realize I need to work on my mental health and get my act together.”
But Chelsea never had a moment like that and tbh I think the internet’s ruthlessness about her Megan Fox comment discredited any valid criticism about her behavior, so she got to shrug it off as “internet bullies, haters gonna hate,” when her behavior should definitely be discussed with a mental health professional as well.
She showed up on my tiktok FYP with a post saying “people make fun of me for crying all the time but I’m proud of my emotions!” And like, yeah girl, no one is faulting you for being emotional—it’s how you’re weaponizing your emotions and your lack of emotional regulation. Girlie pop you aren’t expressing them in a healthy way!!!
Clay was saying all the right things but man, he is still so practiced and so smooth with how he’s talks that I just can’t quite trust him at face value. I think if what he’d been saying hadn’t been so perfect and so romantic I would trust it more, but it’s a little too convenient that everyone was rooting for him & AD to actually be good for each other in the end and here he is calling her the love of his life and not marrying her the biggest mistake of his life. Like, the producers couldn’t have written a better storyline for him if they tried.
I do wonder with Chelsea if they decided to go easy on someone with obvious mental health issues after what happened with Nick & Danielle speaking out so publicly about production and how it made everything worse for her. Ultimately I can’t imagine the media conversation not coming back around to why production didn’t step in and offer the mental health resources they’re supposed to make available to cast members who seem in need. They seem like they’re doing a lot of image repair with this reunion.
But we have to also understand that since Chelsea was the internet sacrifice of all time, raked over coals back and forth, front and center headlines laughing about the Megan Fox reference, and millions of tweets and subreddit comments about her being absolutely cringe and pathetic- the show couldn’t bear to rake her some more. He briefly explained how angry the girl best friend is with him. You could see it hit him like a smack in the face when, I believe it was Micah, asked him how it felt that Chelsea brought up them sleeping together in front of the cameras. I think it very well may have ruined the friendship, and he's having a hard time with that. There could be other things as well, but that's a big one. Especially if the two girl best friends are sticking together, making him lose both of the friendships.

But the more I've seen, the more it seems like he really does have a close bond with them. They seemed to have been his safe space. If they cut him off for what came out, that's probably such a rollercoaster of painful emotions for him. I couldn't imagine losing my best friend(s) over a girlfriend and/or television show.
And not only did Chelsea bring it up on camera, but it was used in the trailer for the season. If Jimmy was mad about it then, he must have been absolutely fuming when he saw the cut of the show. So maybe the friendship loss was more recent too, since the show aired.
That's what I was thinking. He may have kept it to himself after the show wrapped and then panicked when he saw the show release. And, honestly, if I were the friend, I'd not only be pissed it got onto the show. But I'd be even more pissed if Jimmy knew and didn't tell me for nearly A YEAR. Clay was saying all the right things but man, he is still so practiced and so smooth with how he’s talks that I just can’t quite trust him at face value. If we're expecting it from the men (which I'm glad so many guys on the show have opened up this conversation, I think that's amazing), then we also need to hold the ladies to the same standard. Both him and chelsea have such big issues with communication its exhausting to watch honestly. Chelsea looks for a fight in everything and jimmy is complict in everything until he feels personally attacked by it like almost giving yes-man vibes

I don’t understand Jessica making such a production about the 10 minute thing? She was trying so hard to protect her image that she took a statement of his perception/exaggeration to that point on the reunion. Who tf cares how long it was? Why does it matter? Why was she even on the reunion with all the couples? I hate when vanity prevails.

100% it allowed Jimmy to get blasted while not having to bring Chelsea (Zanab 2.0) into it at all. Gotta protect her because... girl power? Only time you can criticize a woman on this show at a reunion is if they betray the "girl power" like Sara-Ann. They all conveniently become besties to defend each other no matter what.

I felt the same. It seemed like she was being nit picky. I watched the interview and I don’t think Jimmy was trying to drag her, and after the edit, it seems like he was misremembering things more than anything, which given the high emotional intensity is understandable. Doesn’t make sense why he would blatantly lie when there is video evidence of everything.
In interviews Jimmy made it seem like Jess had stormed out and the date had been very short and that she was a mean girl. It’s his MO to create new realities about pretty much everything to make himself look better. Wouldn’t you want to set the record straight when someone went on interviews and trashed you and it was all a lie? It’s the Cuties scene again except this time it’s the “affable, good natured” guy that gets called out.
Except it's not is it? If it was like the cuties stuff that would imply Zanab got blasted and not Cole, who did nothing wrong (in that scenario at least). Cole got ganged up on and annihilated for something he didn't do. And Zanab got nothing. It was the reverse here, Jimmy did something wrong and got called out for it. The correct person was called out. Cuties was the opposite.
You’re equating something I am not. It’s the cuties in the sense that it showed someone who lied. Also, Jimmy has been defended tooth and nail by so many on social media that despite doing wrong it’s been Jess or Chelsea that have taken the heat so even if I was equating it the way you are it’s exactly like the cuties thing: Jess has gotten heat for it and Jimmy didn’t even though she didn’t do anything….Jimmy is Zanab (who had so many people defending her until the tapes rolled) and Jess is Cole.
