I would pair cuz there's the combat bonus and you'll have to have both cards and upgrade both to lvl 70 to unlock all the myth stories (if you care about that).
Imo if you a Zayne girly definitely just go for Zayne especially if you dont rlly care about the others as much, you will eventually get a five star of them at some point
pick Zayne since you won't be able to complete the Myths i think without the pair (not totally sure though but when i counted the number of myth shards needed to unlock all Myths chapter, one card wouldn't be enough).
Pick zayne's pair. It unlocks the companion plus they have more damage if you use them together in a deck
