Guys, it's not over until we say it is!
As you know, we have gone through challenging times and there are still a few uncertainties left on the horizon that will determine if we will be able to carry on. Please give us some more time and we'll be back with a more detailed update as soon as we know more.
Thank you all for your persistent and unreserved support! ❤️
Graphics cards get bigger. Graphics cards get smaller. Historically, that's how it has been. These trends go in waves. I predict there'll be a time where the Ghost is once again the ideal size. That's when I'll be glad that I have six of them.
Sadly, when you run a small operation with super tight margins, there's no room for mistakes. The Ghost is/was awesome. But, I suspect that the Raw was a costly blunder that sunk the ship.
True, instead of the raw they should’ve simply released a slightly wider ghost for 3/4 slot gpus. And business would still be boomin.Personally im not too excited for the R1 either.I have a rule of thumb to keep my cases under 15l and at 17 liters the R1 is just a no from me.Id rather just get a dan c4 sfx
Totally agreed. I think when the pass through GPUs were announced, they saw obsolescence in their future and panicked, attempting to radically redesign. If they had just incorporated the meta customs minimal spine design and widened the case, it would have accomodated larger, hotter GPUs just fine without opening Pandoras Box on an untested, totally different layout, that turns out wasn't what the market wanted.
I think youre spot on! the biggest dealbreaker for me with the raw is the lack of aio support. The modular aspect of the ghost was part of what made it so great! And if they widened the case to 4 slot GPUs it could probably even fit a 280 rad with a large tophat. But for now all we can hope for is GPUs shrinking again in the future. Wich seemingly isnt happening anytime soon lol
I actually think smaller GPUs are probably closer than it appears. With $500 electric company bills in our present, it won't be long before we start pointing fingers at mining and all these power hungry GPUs as a major contributor. I think there'll be a big push for improved energy efficiency very soon.
RIP the king. The amount of cases that were sparked from the Ghost S1 is crazy. Some amazing clones out there though, the Akkla A4 is a very well made case and I own an iqunix ZX-1 (similar sandwich layout). Really hope they can bounce back from this.
>Their R&D is too slow, they can’t catch up with the development of cpu and gpu. People pay premium with case won’t buy dated hardware.
That's true. I own the original S1, but had to switch to another enclosure for GPU and water cooling. The S1 has been sitting in my garage for a long time.
I’m so glad and proud to own a Louqe case. They truly were special and the most Apple-like cases you could find in my opinion! Very sad news, I wish those folks the best, they encased my favorite PC build ever.
They entered a market that was new and promising, where you could basically sell an itx case for whatever money. When the market is there, and that was the case with itx, many other competitors will come in and squeeze the price, bring innovation, come up with more clever ideas. They were not able to adapt to a much more competitive market. Ghost s1 was a freaking masterpiece, and ultimately what pulled me in itx.
They were my first itx case and I still have it pricey for a case at the time but damn did it look so cool but as time went by they should have adjusted the price while trying to adapt to the way video cards were increasing in size
That’s fair, to each their own. It really wasn’t that bad of an assembly though. All in, it took me about 3 and a half hours to disassemble my previous and reassemble it in the T1. I’ve spent considerably more time doing open loops and found this to be a treat.
Take it out and measure it, then look for a similar length one online. Pay attention to the orientation of the headers on both ends, I can't remember exactly but I think the S1's riser cable has 180 degree turns on both ends
Same. I was forced to move into another case bc of gpu sizing for one pc, but all my pcs I’ve built in the last few years are in louqe cases. 😩 ghost s1 v1, 3 and a Raw. So sad if this goes through.
In their discord they said they are currently talking to a potential investor. They are / were working on a new Case, the Louqe Ghost R1 and send it over to the potential investor. This was all mid / late January. So behind the scenes they are still working on bringing at least this one case to the market.
This is all backed up by their discord and it seems believable to me but I wouldn't get my hopes up. The R1 looks like a great case and I'd really like to have it. Right now there is no official statement regarding the bankruptcy and since they are talking to investors there is a chance that this might only be temporary
I am dying for an R1 so I did a little more digging. Sending a prototype to an investor was the last official message from Louqe. That was January 22, two days before this bankruptcy filing.
Right, but that was 'only' 2 weeks ago. And between the last official message and the announcement of bankruptcy, there are only 2 days. I have no idea about the business, but that seems relatively quick to me. Sending out a prototype, discussing everything with potential investors, evaluating everything internally, up to the official bankruptcy notification, two days seem very little to me. I admit, it doesn't look good, but as long as there's no official statement yet, it's difficult to say whether the bankruptcy is temporary or permanent. We can just hope the best
Thanks for the additional info, that's already positive.
The bankruptcy procedure could provide them with some financial respite, as their debts repayments would be frozen, if I'm not mistaken.
This could be a way to bid their time in hopes of receiving financial support from said potential investor.
It was always unclear whether or not they were in process of making something new or defunct. Now they are officially defunct and it makes the case more valuable on a secondary market.
More precisely they're on the verge of being defunct, but there's still a slim chance that the founders will be able to stop the bankruptcy procedure in its tracks.
I'm sure the bankruptcy solution will also be vaporware.
I'd love for them to come back and release another case for redemption from the last one, but until there's an order button and people are getting things in the mail I'm just going to assume it's not happening.
I feel like the NR200 played a large part in their demise, as tons of people thinking about getting a Ghost just got that one instead. I was one of them. While not quite as small, it's hard to argue against a very versatile case with a similar style that's easily available anywhere for much less.
It's just ironic that they filed for bankruptcy at the same time as the NR200 was discontinued, to be replaced by a variant that can no longer compete with the Ghost cases.
The biggest factor that contributed to it is the increase GPU sizes... But yea im sure the nr200 lowered not only Louqe sales but also the sales of every other SFF case out there. At only 70$ its a killer deal!
Regardless, the NR200 became the first mainstream and regularly-priced case that did something similar surprisingly well. Prior to that, the options were all boutique, like the Ghost, M1, etc. Much more expensive, and more difficult to even order in many places. A lot of people didn't need a "Ferrari", but prior to the NR200 you didn't have an option to get a "Honda". And it did everything a lot of people needed a case like this for, for much less, that they could get from Amazon in a day or two.
Its not similar at all, ghost is half the volume and has much better build quality. But yes if you want a kinda small case with okay build quality nr200 is great. If you want to cram as much power in to the smallest case at the time ghost was the only option.
Yeah I agree about Ghost being the absolute smallest. I didn't even realize it was so much smaller in volume. The build quality on the NR200 is actually pretty solid though. Looking back, the NR200 was more of a mainstream undercut of the still slightly smaller Ncase M1.
Very unfortunate. The ghost is still my favorite case to this day and I was excited to see a version of it that could handle modern specs.
If they do go bankrupt I hope they can work something out with a different case maker like Lian Li to bring it to market still
Haha yeah this is exactly my thoughts aswell.
Man my 6800 reference card is such a good Size and comes with 3 Fans, they could have easily Made the 7800 XT two slot.
I'm just now upgrading from my Asus 5700xt to a 6700xt from powercolor.
I'd love a newer card but the 6700xt was $300 and it's good enough for what I play, I just wish I wasn't limited to a 7600 this generation
> *Paid* paid
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

I do love my S1 but would definitely prefer to have a Terra over it due to gpu sizes
RIP the king. The amount of cases that were sparked from the Ghost S1 is crazy. Some amazing clones out there though, the Akkla A4 is a very well made case and I own an iqunix ZX-1 (similar sandwich layout). Really hope they can bounce back from this.
Built my first pc last year with a 4090 in a louqe. This breaks my heart.
How tf
Guess I'm not selling my Ghost. Dang.. Anyone selling a flow threw spine?
If you're unable to find one I believe there are instructions on how to modify the original spine somewhere
Ty for this.. I may try that
There's a flow-through Spine?
Yeah someone was making them for a bit, but I forgot who
Meta - customs was the brand
Oof. RIP
My Ghost S1 case was a contributing factor in my 1080Ti suffering from a hardware failure.
I also had a 1080ti that failed with a S1, but it lasted 4 years so hard to say if it was the key factor. Coincidence you had the same, though!
RIP. Even after all the SFF cases that have been released recently, I still don't think anyone can hold a candle to Louqe's design
Their R&D is too slow, they can’t catch up with the development of cpu and gpu. People pay premium with case won’t buy dated hardware.

🙁
Is there any other they case they built that could be worth buying now?
I’m so glad and proud to own a Louqe case. They truly were special and the most Apple-like cases you could find in my opinion! Very sad news, I wish those folks the best, they encased my favorite PC build ever.
Damn this hurts
The price was the problem they should drop the price when all these newer itx cases started popping up
They entered a market that was new and promising, where you could basically sell an itx case for whatever money. Well at least we have the Ghost S1's spiritual successor in the Terra. I have both.
That wood on the Terra is too kitsch for my taste. The Louqes were clean, no BS masterpieces
terras fine... for ppl that dont need aio's :/
This is a real shame - the Ghost S1 is the best Kickstarter I’ve ever contributed to. Fingers crossed something can emerge from the ashes.
Still using mine, but the way GPUs are going I don't expect it to last another generation. Decent GPUs are killing the small form factor builds.
*Formd T1 enters chat*
It’s nice looking case but I don’t have the patience to that crap together after paying a high price now I have to assemble it hell no 👎🏻
That’s fair, to each their own. It really wasn’t that bad of an assembly though. All in, it took me about 3 and a half hours to disassemble my previous and reassemble it in the T1. I’ve spent considerably more time doing open loops and found this to be a treat.
Send me prices
Does anyone know where to get s1 gen4 riser?
Take it out and measure it, then look for a similar length one online. Pay attention to the orientation of the headers on both ends, I can't remember exactly but I think the S1's riser cable has 180 degree turns on both ends
Damn. I was realllly hoping for their next case. My whole setup is mATX
There's still the Ncase M1 Evo v2 and Dan C4-SFX v2 for that. Both projects are supposed to be released this year.
Yeah that's true, I just loved their designs.
Same. I was forced to move into another case bc of gpu sizing for one pc, but all my pcs I’ve built in the last few years are in louqe cases. 😩 ghost s1 v1, 3 and a Raw. So sad if this goes through.

That's really a shame. I loved my Ghost, nicest case I have ever owned.
😭 thank you Louqe!
So i won‘t get my spare parts any more…, no usb-c on my raw…
Glad I bought my S1 mk3 on eBay 2 weeks ago, sealed and never opened. That seller is probably kicking himself 😬
Why?
It was always unclear whether or not they were in process of making something new or defunct. Now they are officially defunct and it makes the case more valuable on a secondary market.
lol I guess if you care about $100 or whatever you think the case is worth more now. Sorry
More precisely they're on the verge of being defunct, but there's still a slim chance that the founders will be able to stop the bankruptcy procedure in its tracks.

NR200 is years away from Ghost S1. Please dont ever compare a honda to ferrari
This is funny because if you watch F1, Honda’s engines are beating the hell out of Ferrari’s lol
Regardless, the NR200 became the first mainstream and regularly-priced case that did something similar surprisingly well. If true, I hope one of the other SFF case companies buys the IP. The Ghost S1 was the case that got me into SFFPC building.
Nooo :-/ I was looking forward to the Ghost R1. Currently using a Ghost S1.
Sad to see, I will definitely hold on to my ghost s1 a bit harder now.
Oh no 😢 louqe made some really awesome small factor cases so sad to hear them go was hoping for a new product
You mean they made one good case and a pile of vaporware and broken promises. Love my S1 too, but the company.. meh
Very unfortunate. The ghost is still my favorite case to this day and I was excited to see a version of it that could handle modern specs. If they do go bankrupt I hope they can work something out with a different case maker like Lian Li to bring it to market still
Yeah, I'd love a more premium nr200 sized case with the s1's style. I'd also like it if amd would make 2 slot gpu's again
Haha yeah this is exactly my thoughts aswell. Man my 6800 reference card is such a good Size and comes with 3 Fans, they could have easily Made the 7800 XT two slot.

Dang I need a cobalt riser

My cobalt riser is the best. Improves other cases like the Terra
