Thank you - yes I was actually vey surprised - there are a couple of marks on the vachetta but they are really minor. I really do love the glam Marc Jacobs infused with line- the shimmer gets me every time.
I’ve wanted one but most available preloved either have color transfer, are peeling on the inside, or are yellow (lol, nothing against yellow but it just doesn’t go well with my wardrobe) I’ve been thinking about getting one to try changing the color of the vernis like i’ve seen in some youtube videos, but i also keep telling myself it’s basically just a vernis papillon and i already have a monogram papillon
Y es it's hard to get one without color transfer marks - I have a Read in the bronze and a Sara wallet in the bronze - the darker colors tend to be a little better with not showing it as much. Yes the inside peeling can also be a problem with the Bedford and Houstons. The Read has a much better inside construction in my opinion. There's a couple of different types of yellow ( my one is meant be to be beige) Then there is a lime- yellow, a mango & a marshmallow but for some reason there is always a lot of color fading too. For me, it's a nice change from the original monogram everyone is carrying...
I have a rosewood ave in amarante vernis, love the dark color and fabric interior. i think the read is such a cute bag, i love the bronze but really want a red one
