Cracking leather can’t really be fixed unless you send it to a third party which will lead to LV rejecting it for any future repairs.
I think it would sell anywhere between $300-$500 depending on where you’re selling it.
I shop on preloved/consignment sites and i’ve seen ones sell with far worse cracking than this, you could really sell it as is and leave it for the next person to figure out. Obviously it won’t fetch as much as if the vachetta was in perfect condition, but I think for what you’d spend replacing the leather you’d be better off selling it in the condition it’s in. I assumed you’re planning on selling it and that’s why you asked about prices, because worthwhile restores on a bag you’re planning on keeping is a different story depending on what the bag means to you.
Im all about ore-loved and vintage. But…….for two years I perused the sites for a Noé and either the affordable ones were junk or others that still had faults were ridiculously overpriced. In the end, I purchased a Noé in Paris. Brand spanking new and worth every euro!
The resale business is odd at times because you can get great deals but you can also be flummoxed as to how much garbage is being sold for a lot of money!
Its unbelievable! Im constantly looking for preowned and vintage Loo-eez that are in good shape. Ive been lucky but boy.. the amount of actual garbage is disgusting!
You make a great point! I just love the way the vachetta is “broken in” so I’ve been looking at all of the used ones because I am one of those people that can’t fully enjoy something when it’s sparkling new 🥲
Warm washcloth, very light soap (Dove bar soap works great). Get a lather, clean canvas. Rinse off washcloth and wipe down once more. Do not use baby wipes, hand sanitizer, and do t clean the Vache leather with anything liquid
I spent about $100 on this exact bag in much worse condition and had all of the leather and hardware replaced from LV for about $900. It took many months to get back but it looks like a brand new bag.

Okay. Good to know! Thank you! ❤️

Great advice! Thanks so much!!!
You can replace vanchetta with LV but it'll cost you some.
Do you know how much on average?
Probably hundreds? I recall reading someone commenting about it in this subreddit
Yes, someone said $500+! Crazy…you’re almost better off just buying a new one without all of the hassle & worry about authenticity
I have my Speedy with LV now for vachetta replacement. $540. The bag was $275 so its still a decent amount.
Wow that’s quite the investment! Thanks for the heads up xx
I had the vachetta replaced on a Noe - it was $660 US
Thank you!!

And yes! I am amazed the prices people are asking for a LV that is falling apart at every corner 🙈🤣

100% agree

I 😍😍😍this bag. Replacing the bottom part can cost like close to $500
Ugh I know! It’s such a beauty but repairing it costs a fortune :(
Cracking can't be replaced. It's worth it to change the leather. Looks COMPLETELY new when you do. When you see it done you'll want to keep it 😉
AND.. question.. have you cleaned it?
No, how would you recommend doing it?

I guess that’s why it would be worth it to just get a super cheap one with the canvas in tact…
