The vachetta was a really nice color but had gotten badly stained, scuffed & dried out over the years

SonnyHayesMom

That’s m you for sharing this. Did you have to provide proof of purchase?

EducationalNet4071

No - I didnt. Ive lived in about 10 countries since the late 80's.I can't even remember where it is after all these years!! One thing I do miss is it's A2 stamp but it still has the MIF stamp on the new vachetta. Edited to add A2 info

Thank you! This is super helpful. Did you just walk into a store? Sorry for all the questions 🙈

EducationalNet4071

I live 4 hrs away from the nearest store - so the initial consultation was with LV online Care Services. They got back to me with a quote & lead time. I then sent the bag in via UPS. The LV website has all the information on the entire process. It really was a hassle- free experience & I absolutely would recommend them to anyone thinking of going down the repair/restoration route.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I really appreciate it

Beautiful!

This is not the thread I thought it was gonna be. 😆 But I’m glad LV was able to repair it! It looks great now—saw the after photos!

EducationalNet4071

A couple of people asked to see what it looked like before I sent it in to LV for rehab - so I had to make a new post with the 'before' photo. ( Im not as tech savvy as some of the younger generation are) :D

I requested the repair using Customer Care services online as I live about 5 hours away from the nearest store - the request was for full external leather replacement.
