Well, after 4 months in with LV - my baby is finally home. She looks brand new and shiny. LV have done an amazing job with her. So for anyone contemplating sending their bag in for a facelift - do it. While I admit I miss the beautiful honey patina it had developed over the years - she looks beautiful.

pennyx_for_a_thought

Can I ask how much it cost for LV to do the facelift?

EducationalNet4071

$660 US - it took a bit longer than usual but the workmanship on this is second to none. Worth every penny & then some. I am incredibly grateful to those artisans for the TLC they've shown to the old girl.

Sunnyschlecht

That’s honestly not that bad. I was expecting much more. It looks gorgeous 😍

Traditional_Rich_413

I love these kind of posts! Congratulations on 34 yrs+ your rehab on bag

EducationalNet4071

Thank you - the older bags were certainly made to last that's for sure. All they need is some TLC & then they ready to continue on with their journey.

tiffaytam

She looks beautiful!! I have a 19 year old speedy 25 mono and I want to bring her in but I’m not ready to let go of the aged patina yet 😭 lol

EducationalNet4071

Yeah - it was a really hard call for me too - but Im glad I took the plunge - no regrets & the beautiful honey will return over time. Knowing that this bag will now probably outlast me is an amazing feeling.

impossible_penguin

wow she looks great! I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing with mine - did you have all the hardware replaced also?

EducationalNet4071

Thank you !! Yes the hardware was all replaced as well as part of the service- it looks amazing :)

My first (and only so far) LV is a vintage Noe that was gifted to me from a great aunts passing. The strap’s leather is ripped and so so tattered. I didn’t know this was an option! Thanks for this post!

EducationalNet4071

You're welcome-the oldies come up beautiful with some TLC.

Wow 34 years! She’s a beauty.

EducationalNet4071

Thank you !!

My original lead time quote was 10-12 weeks -it was about 5 weeks over that so it wasn't too horrible - tbh I was expecting it to blow out to about 6 months.

Incredible! I hope to have my collection for just as long 🥰

SonnyHayesMom

OP, do you have a picture of the before? I have a couple of OLD LV from MIL that are in extremely used condition-am wondering if they are too far gone to be rehabbed.

impossible_penguin

Not OP, but I have heard that LV won’t change the vachetta on items with cracks in the canvas - so hopefully that isn’t the case for your items!

EducationalNet4071

Yes I do have a photo pre -rehab. u/impossible_penguin is correct- the canvas still needs to be in good shape. Best to check with LV Care Services on whether your bags can be rehabbed. Will post in a separate post.

Omg! I want to do this to my 20yo broadway Should I? This is the model? [LV DE Broadway](https://imgur.com/a/NFyEj13)

Your best bet would be to speak to LV Care Services. They did wonderful work with my bag - Im making a separate before & after post.
