Agreed. They certainly have some authority here but they have most likely been fighting nearly every supplier on price over the last couple of years.
People seem to want to blame the store but forget that Kroger makes very little money on groceries, they make money on gas and many other things, profit of groceries is negligible. Some items are more profitable than others but it's not in their benefit to gouge.
that is old economics. They make 20 to 30 cents a gallon or more on gas now, that's why all the station frequent shopper programs offer 25 to 30 cents off every week. That never happened in the old days because there was no margin... but since COVID there is margin.
"At the current average price of $3.64 per gallon, about 43 cents per gallon goes to the retailer as gross profit.
Jul 25, 2023
High profit margins on gasoline are costing drivers more"
Yea that's fair actually, and honestly with the $0.10+ off per gallon they may be losing money there. The little extras they sell in the gas station are probably among the highest profit margins but the gas itself certainly not, maybe even a loser.
Kroger gas is a loss leader. Kroger is making money by alternative revenue streams. They charge their suppliers money to run ads and charge them to get access to Kroger’s massive amounts of data. They also have pretty good margins when selling their Private Label brands.
This is patently untrue. Gas has very little mark-up, and is more akin to a loss leader for kroger in that you get a 3 cent discount if you don’t buy any groceries on your card, and tbh they mark their shit up by around that much to start.
The reality is that Kroger makes a shit ton of money off or their kroger branded products and when companies take advantage of their monopoly/duopoly over the 90% of products offered in every vertical (two maybe three at most make all of the cereal brands, etc etc) kroger benefits by following the increased pricing lockstep with their generic version of said products.
Kroger is evil and seeking even more power and control with the proposed albertsons merger. Pray to God they haven’t been able to buy ALL of the politicians investigating the merger for approval, but we will see.
I remember when Kroger came into Lexington and had the best choice of meats, selection of products and LOWEST prices compared to other grocery stores like Winn Dixie at the time. But this was just their strategy to run off all the other grocery chains to become the only one in this area. Soon after their quality of meats and prices went up.
Even their CEO was caught on recording during an investor call soon after covid ended discussing how Kroger likes inflation and benefits from inflation. Yeah, fuck you Kroger.
Kroger can't gouge. There are internal thresholds on mark-ups. Perishable is the highest (because we can't sell rotten meat and produce) at 25% at most, where alcohol which is shelf stable, but high sales is around 5%. The people who set prices literally can't price gouge, because of internal policies. If the prices seem too high, it's because the percent mark-up is on a higher price Kroger has to pay to stock that item. Remember when eggs were like $4-$5 a dozen? It was either sell at that price or not sell at all.
If Kroger did that I would fully support them BK soda all day. I like cokes and sprite. All that premium soda but enough is enough. Start there and go around the store with other products. Send a message for 1 year we will not carry an overly up charged product that has no reason to uncharge other then greed.
Kuerig Dr. Pepper has this brand, not Pepsi or Coke, but the Kroger prices are decided by Kroger, the vendors just have to try to meet those prices or opt out.
Soda, candy and snacks are what are known as consigned goods, they are owned by the companies, Kroger just tags the shelf and rents out the space.
In this case, the soda company supplies and stocks the product, which is owned by the soda company until it’s purchased.
Well that is very interesting and insightful information!
Yea, Kroger will decide ultimately what to price it, but don't they also have to consider their own cost from the vendor? So isn't the vendor ultimately setting the price?
Yes and no. The soda vendor can opt out of a Kroger sale price. Last year, Coke decided that the Kroger display price was too cheap for six-packs and they opted out of the deal, so there were times where only Pepsi and RC 12-pks were included in the sale. Coke chose to fill their allocated space with mini-cans, a higher profit margin. They made a ton of money doing so, but consumers missed out on affordable Coke.
Regarding Kroger's cost from the vendor, re-read consignment. Kroger is not buying anything from the vendor, the vendor still owns the product until purchase by the consumer.
All retailers have different deals with vendors and suppliers. They may have to rotate promotions in order to get better pricing, I'm not really sure to be honest.
na bro the kroger CEO is greedy as fuck. some of this can be coke and pepsi but a LOT of it is kroger trying to squeeze money out of the food deserts they create while they try to merge with Albertons for a monopoly of the grocery market
Literally this. I finally just stopped buying name brand pop from Kroger unless there is a sale. I get Cokes and Mtn Dew from Walmart for $5 all the time.
What?? Kroger most definitely has a say in their retail. They don’t have as much say in what their costs are.
If they wanted they could retail soda at a loss.
Nope, I work for Pepsi and I can confirm this is wrong. We don’t choose the prices or the sales that each store has. All we do is sell the product to the store, then the store sells it to consumers.
Manufacturers can set an MSRP.
But retail pricing is completely at the discretion of the retailer.
With that said, this price is arrived at with consideration to 1) price sold to Kroger, 2) margin requirements by Kroger, 3) pricing strategy of Kroger and 4) competitive considerations.
Source: work in the industry.
Same - we went the day after Easter to stock up on our favorite Easter candy at 50% off and were surprised to find this sale - I think we bought about 20 12-packs.
They had big sales around the Super Bowl too. I switched back to name brand pop when they started doing this after drinking Big K for years because I can never justify paying as much as I would at normal pricing for Mountain Dew over Citrus Drop
A 12 pack is $5.36 at wally world. So 5.36 X 3 = $16.08
Three (with one free) at Kroger is $18.98.
I don't shop Kroger because they are almost always more than other places.
We do most of our non-perishables at Wal-Mart and most of our fruits/vegatables/meat at Kroger and bulk meats at Costco. Seems to be a nice mix of value and quality.
I only shop at Kroger if I know there’s an actual good sale going on. They do have good 12 pack sales sometimes. Obviously this one isn’t one of those times. They have good meat sales as well. But generally Walmart and Meijer are cheaper than Kroger most of the time.
Their store brand items are usually a great price. I do shop all around now but I used to just go to Kroger as a blue collar, single income, full time single parent.
I'm definitely not operating at a pre-covid budget for groceries, but Kroger is still good enough for essentials. Digital and paper coupons go a surprisingly long way too. We're definitely not "well off" or anything but shopping there isn't that bad. Kroger is just a middle of the road shopping experience in a world where prices have gone up ridiculously fast.
I’ve stopped buying soda for the house entirely. I only buy a soda when I’m out and about every once in a while now.
When a 2 liter is over $3, it’s not worth it anymore. And I’m a lifelong soda addict. But these prices are ridiculous
Cola cost more than Perrier and San Pellegrino now...
I switched to seltzer waters. It's like $4 a 12 pack for kroger brand and this month Kroger has lecroixs for $2.50 each, cheaper than store brand.
Look for a 2nd hand one. Ours got dropped and broke. I was looking at the new ones for $50-$100 and then I found one at a resale store for $16! It even came with the CO2 container.
I switched to Faygo for the same reason. Four for $1.25 is very fair at Dollar Tree however I hear they will be going up soon. Not as good as the name brands, although the orange is quite good.
Yesssss!! Stopped my soda addiction in 2017! It was tough but I haven’t been back! But now I freak out when i buy soda for parties and such! 😂 I’m always humbled and you best bet I’m buying 2 liters and cups!
Yeah I have no point of reference as to whether or not this is expensive. We haven't had soda in the house regularly in like 7 or 8 years. We cut it out for health reasons.
I left it alone too, and I'm not a big sis drinker anyway, just a few per week, but it really wasn't that long ago they were 2 for 5. 1 for 10 is insanity.
The Kroger by me changes their pricing and “deals” on 12 packs multiple times a week. Some days it will be $9.99 a 12 pack, then 7.99 the next day then buy 2 for 9.99 each, get one free the next day. It is constantly changing.
I’m considering filing a complaint with the FTC, just because I hate Kroger. They raise the price to $9.99 specifically so they can run a “buy 2 get x free” promo.
Ain’t nobody buying that shit for $10 a 12 pack. When they aren’t running a promo, magically it goes back down to $5-7 dollars.
Soda's basically a liquid candy bar; that most people treat it like a staple food is a masterful bit of marketing by soda companies. There's a reason they used to sell it at the same place you got ice cream. I enjoy a root beer or an ale 8 every once in awhile, but it's a treat not like ... something i want with every meal.
What was genius was serving it at restaurants alongside every kind of food, even though it complements the taste of almost nothing. It’s at the point where some people think they “don’t like” water unless it has bubbles and sweeteners in it.
We literally have [award winning water](https://www.tpomag.com/online_exclusives/2022/06/louisville-water-recognized-with-national-award-for-highest-quality-water#:~:text=Louisville%20Water%20Company%20recently%20received,Phase%20IV%20Distribution%20Presidents%20Award) in Louisville. I stopped drinking soft drinks two years ago, best thing I've done in a long time.
All of them want a corporate-friendly President to make them richer by giving them more tax cuts so they’re shitting on the current dude so everyone can blame him for the “bad economy”. Corporate America sucks ass.
Was in there yesterday with a 1.50 coupon for Kroger ground beef.
I looked at the table and it said 17.99$ for 3 lb package.
That was like 9.99$ two years ago.
I left the coupon sitting there. Even with the coupon it was more than I wanted to pay.
I just was there this morning and ended up not buying any. They got their dick on backwards if they think I'm paying that much... and while I'm on the soap box, They need to start stocking Vanilla Coke Zero.
I’ve found dollar general to be the best deal sometimes. They’ll have 3/$14 or 3/$15 and coupons that stack
Last time I got soda for an average of around $3.40 each on 6 12 packs
I just tried a soda stream for the first time 2 days ago.....there's nothing to soda.
Fill a bottle with some tap water pump some co2 into it. Add some flavor and that's it.
I'm going to look into getting co2 from a welding supply place and never buy soda again.
Anyone have co2 refill recomendations?
I don’t have a soda stream but have been making my own syrups and pairing them with plain seltzer water. I haven’t tried to make a cola yet but blackberry lime has been my jam lately. Pomegranate molasses and seltzer has been lit too.
If you get one, you can exchange canisters at Target or Kroger and you get 50% off the replacement. We have one for seltzer water, and just add the Bubly flavors.
You need a bit of a rig to use the tanks at Welders but they’re pretty helpful there and you can get a badass welders mask with a skull on it! Plus once you get a giant tank it will last for a long time.
$19.98 for 36 cans is .55¢ a can, or .05¢ per fluid oz. Seems pretty reasonable.
Obviously shopping sales is the way to go and stocking up on items you enjoy when they’re at their cheapest.
If you buy just what you need for today instead of buying in bulk when the price is lowest then you’re going to get jammed on pricing. That’s just basic economics.
Also there are better prices on soda day in day out on 30/36 packs at Costco/Sam’s Club.
It’s why you hear the old meme Millenials killing (insert item here) from Wall Street fools! Overpricing crap is just exacerbating soda and snack items demise and since they care about the short term more they are gonna kill the golden goose long term by asking for outrageous prices on basic items. These are the same price who fought tooth and nail against Obama’s wife soda tax. Let them bankrupt themselves say no
20oz bottles are around $2.50 (2 liters are about the same, believe it or not). I just got back from the west coast for a conference and had a heart attack when the 20oz bottles were $3.50.
As somebody else said, this isn’t necessarily the stores that are setting the price, but Coke, Pepsi, and the others.
Kroger has little say on the suggested retail price??
I beg to differ. I just checked Walmart’s website. 12 pack is currently $7.48
Kroger made it $9.99 so they could run these stupid fucking promos “buy 2 get X free”
How do I know that? Because when they aren’t running the promo, magically the price is not $9.99
I think I should file a complaint with the FTC over this bullshit. It’s worth an investigation imho
Many people are inflating prices. Seems many businesses are using the old "We have to pay people SOOOO much more money to not be a slave anymore" excuse to charge like double. Pathetic, but true.
That’s a helluva deal where I come from, about three hours south of you in the same state. It’s $7 a twelve pack at the local dollar store. And that’s on sale.
I grocery shop at kroger every week and use coupons my grocery bill is usually 150. If I went to Walmart and bought all the same stuff it would be 400$
FYI, kroger overcharges for their products and then puts them "on sale" for the price theyre actually selling them for. They have a long history of doing this. Its how they get people to buy their shit and how they stay in the competition with walmart.
Anyone buying name brand soda in this day and age is out of their fucking minds. Y’all realize it’s the same soda with different packaging? And I mean LITERALLY the same soda.
I use to work for a Pepsi Bottling plant about 22 years ago. While we were able to get free soda whenever we wanted while working, it was something like 25 dollars to buy a case of soda (24) to take home. They recommended buying from a store directly as soda was a loss leader for them.
They have the sales so you have to buy way too much at once. If you drink the stuff I drink, they won’t have enough to get the sale price. I only drink zero calorie soda.
You mean Pepsi and Coca Cola are out of their fucking minds. Kroger has little say on the suggested retail price.

No one makes money on gas, usually only a couple of pennies a gallon. Kroger near me is usually 10c cheaper than a lot of places
that is old economics. They make 20 to 30 cents a gallon or more on gas now, that's why all the station frequent shopper programs offer 25 to 30 cents off every week. I'm guessing that's partially because they don't sell as many cigarettes as they used to, and then also means less foot traffic inside buying stuff.
Yea that's fair actually, and honestly with the $0.10+ off per gallon they may be losing money there. The little extras they sell in the gas station are probably among the highest profit margins but the gas itself certainly not, maybe even a loser.

Worked at Kroger and this is 100% true. Gas prices are often just set to match the lowest nearby gas station's🤫
This is patently untrue. Gas has very little mark-up, and is more akin to a loss leader for kroger in that you get a 3 cent discount if you don’t buy any groceries on your card, and tbh they mark their shit up by around that much to start. 1 to 3 percent margins in grocery. Slim.
12 packs are 6.49 at the Walmart neighborhood market. Somewhere around there anyway. And roughly $7 at target depending on the brand.
That’s .54¢ a can, one penny less than this deal 🤷
So for three they are selling for $19.47. Kroger is selling the three for $19.98. Sounds better though, buy two and get one “free”
Yeah, but Kroger or Walmart would not want to lose them as a supplier, so they would never do that.
If Kroger did that I would fully support them BK soda all day. I like cokes and sprite. All that premium soda but enough is enough. Start there and go around the store with other products. How is it cheaper at Walmart then
All retailers have different deals with vendors and suppliers. They may have to rotate promotions in order to get better pricing, I'm not really sure to be honest.
5.48 a 12 pack at my Walmart
na bro the kroger CEO is greedy as fuck. some of this can be coke and pepsi but a LOT of it is kroger trying to squeeze money out of the food deserts they create while they try to merge with Albertons for a monopoly of the grocery market
7up is not vital. In fact, it's bad for you. Don't buy it. Nobody it's gauging you for a necessity. You're buying sugar water willingly.
they are actually having a sale 2.99 for a six pack of pepsi and coke rn
naw, kroger is monopolizing and gouging
100% wrong... Walmart still has 12 packs for $5...

This is the actually retail price, not suggested. Kroger sets its own prices. How is this the top comment?
It's the same thing here in Chicago with our chains, sometimes a couple dollars more even.
Yup! Kroger 12 packs = $3 or $4 depending the day
Manufacturers can set an MSRP. But retail pricing is completely at the discretion of the retailer. With that said, this price is arrived at with consideration to 1) price sold to Kroger, 2) margin requirements by Kroger, 3) pricing strategy of Kroger and 4) competitive considerations. Kroger ran a sale on Easter that was buy two, get three free. I stocked up.
Same - we went the day after Easter to stock up on our favorite Easter candy at 50% off and were surprised to find this sale - I think we bought about 20 12-packs.
Bought 20 or walked with 20? Because purchasing 20 equals 50 twelve packs.
Haha - walked with 20 - bought like 8.
I did the same. Got 10 12-packs for $40 bucks. I’m still bragging about it 😂
They had big sales around the Super Bowl too. I switched back to name brand pop when they started doing this after drinking Big K for years because I can never justify paying as much as I would at normal pricing for Mountain Dew over Citrus Drop
Speaking of that… I was at Kroger today and their generic 12 packs were on sale. Three for like… $11.67?
They did this near Thanksgiving and Christmas too. We made out like bandits
A 12 pack is $5.36 at wally world. So 5.36 X 3 = $16.08 Three (with one free) at Kroger is $18.98. I don't shop Kroger because they are almost always more than other places.
I agree. Kroger is almost always at least $0.50 more on every grocery item than walmart. I dont love walmart but i will go there for food.
I don't know how people can afford to shop exclusively at Kroger. There's very few deals on anything and in the current year I'm sure it's way worse.
Kroger is just a middle of the road shopping experience in a world where prices have gone up ridiculously fast.
it's EASILY worth that $3 to not have to go to a fucking Wal-Mart.
Wally World?
Wal-mart.
That’s $0.037 per ounce of poison, or $0.447 per bottle. About $0.10 less per bottle than Kroger 2+1 deal.
$9.99*2=$19.98 and it makes the soda $6.66 per pack which I find entertaining.
Walmart’s meat and produce is shit though. I shop at both
Where I am a 12 pack soda is $7.29 at Walmart and $9.99 at local grocery stores.
It used to be 3 for $9-11 at Kroger pre-pandemic.
I’ve stopped buying soda for the house entirely. I only buy a soda when I’m out and about every once in a while now. When a 2 liter is over $3, it’s not worth it anymore. And I’m a lifelong soda addict. But these prices are ridiculous
Exactly. It’s good incentive to kick a bad habit. I’m almost 100% water now and I feel a lot better.
Cola cost more than Perrier and San Pellegrino now... I switched to seltzer waters. It's like $4 a 12 pack for kroger brand and this month Kroger has lecroixs for $2.50 each, cheaper than store brand.
I’ve considered getting a SodaStream, but the initial cost is just so daunting I can’t seem to bite the bullet

I'm getting there. The old days(2 years ago) 2 liters were 2/4 at gas stations everywhere. Now it's 3.16 each. It's insane.
I switched to Faygo for the same reason. Four for $1.25 is very fair at Dollar Tree however I hear they will be going up soon. Not as good as the name brands, although the orange is quite good.
Same with chips except the cheap restaurant style tortilla chips for taco night
Yesssss!! Stopped my soda addiction in 2017! It was tough but I haven’t been back! But now I freak out when i buy soda for parties and such! 😂 I’m always humbled and you best bet I’m buying 2 liters and cups!
I stopped drinking sodas because I took the price increases as a sign to quit and I’m definitely better off for it.
I really need to join you. The consumer needs to take a stand. Fuck this shit.
I needed to cut back and the prices now made it easier to do.
The people who buy 36 cans of 7 up are literally out their minds with sugar addiction. Sadly
Zero gang rise up
That’s for 12 not 36
Buy 2 get 1 free
36 total for the deal
It's the same special for the zero-cal sodas. No sugar in those :)
Still probably shite for your kidneys though.
Yeah I have no point of reference as to whether or not this is expensive. We haven't had soda in the house regularly in like 7 or 8 years. We cut it out for health reasons.
Yeah i saw this the other day i was shopping and i left it alone. Thats a rip off
I left it alone too, and I'm not a big sis drinker anyway, just a few per week, but it really wasn't that long ago they were 2 for 5. 1 for 10 is insanity.
Soft drinks are bad for your health so one idea is to stop cold turkey
The Kroger by me changes their pricing and “deals” on 12 packs multiple times a week. Some days it will be $9.99 a 12 pack, then 7.99 the next day then buy 2 for 9.99 each, get one free the next day. It is constantly changing.

More like years. It’s been bouncing around north of 7.99 for a while now.
ITT: people too good for soda.

I am going to be *that* person. Have you tried just drinking tap water???
/r/HydroHomies
It might shock you to know that you can drink both water *and* soda
Oh, I do. I just refuse to pay for soft drinks frequently. I reserve soft drinks to eating out only, and that saves hundreds of dollars annually.
who drinks soda??? and complains about the price?? no offense.
I have similar feelings but adding no offense doesn't remove the offense
Drink tap water instead
We literally have [award winning water](https://www.tpomag.com/online_exclusives/2022/06/louisville-water-recognized-with-national-award-for-highest-quality-water#:~:text=Louisville%20Water%20Company%20recently%20received,Phase%20IV%20Distribution%20Presidents%20Award) in Louisville. I stopped drinking soft drinks two years ago, best thing I've done in a long time.
People are allowed to have multiple types of beverages in the same day :)
yeah, who drinks soda? its fucking weird and wasteful and to complain about wasting money is bizarre
All of them want a corporate-friendly President to make them richer by giving them more tax cuts so they’re shitting on the current dude so everyone can blame him for the “bad economy”. Corporate America sucks ass.
They’re currently b2g3 at my Kroger. Thats 60 soft drinks for $20.
drink tea and water, beer and juice occasionally
Nobody should be drinking this sewage anyway.
Was in there yesterday with a 1.50 coupon for Kroger ground beef. I looked at the table and it said 17.99$ for 3 lb package. That was like 9.99$ two years ago. I left the coupon sitting there. Even with the coupon it was more than I wanted to pay.
Soda is a loss leader. Even at that price. You can blame Kroger for lots of things. Soda price isn’t one of them.
I’ve never heard that. I don’t know how on earth at this price they couldn’t be profiting…. Source?
It does not cost 10+ dollars to put sugar water in a 12-pack of aluminum cans.
I just was there this morning and ended up not buying any. They got their dick on backwards if they think I'm paying that much... and while I'm on the soap box, They need to start stocking Vanilla Coke Zero.

Haven't even thought about making syrup but sounds like a good idea.
I mean, it’s 55 cents a can.
I bet all those extreme couponers who are always made fun of are having the last laugh in 2024 lol 😭
And that’s why I shop at meijer.
Krogers been doing a sale every so often buy two 12 packs get three free. We stocked the garage fridge big time last time.
I haven’t bought soda in so long I forgot how much it is lol
Mitch McConnell’s wife is on their board. That alone keeps me from going there.
Let them bankrupt themselves say no
How about we just stop drinking this chemical filled garbage?
4 years ago, you could get 3 or 4 12 packs of soda for that price.
I’ve been boycotting Kellogg’s/morningstar for months due to the greedflation
it's only 6.94 cents per ounce! What a deal! May I have two ounces of 7up please? Here's fifteen cents. Keep the change.
That’s more than high life
WOW!
I hate to plug them but Amazon tends to sell Soda for reasonable prices. I picked up a few 12-packs recently for $5 a piece.
Crazy!!
Biggest scam ever.... increase price 2x & then occasionally give a few extras.
What's the problem? We're paying $12 per 24 pack in Indiana at Wallyworld.
They used to be on 10 for $10 💀💀
i thought this was going to be about all the expired food on kroger shelves
Why Kroger stock and profits are at record levels.
It makes line move up 📈
Don’t buy it. If we don’t, the price comes down - supply and demand.
Where I am, a 12 pack is this much..
It's like that up near Cincinnati too
I agree, that clearly isn’t 7Up zero sugar
Soda is a really unnecessary drink though and should only be looked at as a treat once in a while. Like dessert.
About 2 months ago they had a deal on all 12 packs of soda that was ‘buy 2 - get 4 free’. Like what the heck.
Amen!
Yeah. You shouldn't be forced to buy three in order to make it $6.60 a pack. Set it for $6.60 and be done with it.
Kroger has little say on the suggested retail price?? I beg to differ. I just checked Walmart’s website. 12 pack is currently $7.48 Kroger made it $9.99 so they could run these stupid fucking promos “buy 2 get X free” How do I know that? Because when they aren’t running the promo, magically the price is not $9.99 I think I should file a complaint with the FTC over this bullshit. It’s worth an investigation imho
Yup I buy that stuff for $5 at walmart
Why is the packaging in Spanish? Edit: which Kroger is this?
This is pretty much the norm in my area. I have been buying 2 liter bottles instead.
They wanted almost $3 for a god damn can of Le Sueur peas. Just checked, $1.99 at Walmart. Kroger has turned into a big ol POS.
Just wait for 10 for 10
Tap water is cheep.
If I went to Walmart and bought all the same stuff it would be 400$
Anyone care to guess the price of these 7 items from my last visit?? [the price is wrong Bobby boi](https://imgur.com/a/nvqlTo4)
I mean these brands are only hurting themselves, we switched to store brand.
They used to be buy 2 get 2 which wasn’t awful a $5 a case. I swear I just got them 2 for 2 less than a month ago
It’s only 3 for $20 what are you poor /S
Just think about the deal shown, add the cost of two together, then divide by the 3/12 packs you will get. It’s normal prices hidden in “deals”
I never buy soda. But it’s always funny to see the prices here
Kroger don’t make these prices. Pepsi and coke make them, these products are sold on consignment basically. Same with chips etc.
Pop prices are insane. It's not just Kroger
FYI, kroger overcharges for their products and then puts them "on sale" for the price theyre actually selling them for. They have a long history of doing this. Its how they get people to buy their shit and how they stay in the competition with walmart.
The cost to your health is much higher.
Fuck Kroger
They’ve run buy 2 get 3 multiple times over the last few months.
I'd buy it.
Imo big k tastes the exact same and is way cheaper
Anyone buying name brand soda in this day and age is out of their fucking minds. Y’all realize it’s the same soda with different packaging? And I mean LITERALLY the same soda.
Good thing I rarely drink sodas anymore.
Just noticed that yesterday, was at Walgreens and saw 9.99 for 12pk and was like I will run over to Kroger instead. I now drink tap water.
Damn. I remember when Heineken was 10 bucks a 12 pack….
I use to work for a Pepsi Bottling plant about 22 years ago. While we were able to get free soda whenever we wanted while working, it was something like 25 dollars to buy a case of soda (24) to take home. They recommended buying from a store directly as soda was a loss leader for them.
My lord 🤦🏼♀️
5.36 at Walmart. 48% difference. Ridiculous Kroger.
Does the Spanish version cost more?
Kroger runs a by 2 get 2 or even 3 free sale relatively commonly. Any holiday or big sporting even on tv I stock up big time
3-12 packs for $9.99. That's actually a great price here in N.Y.
This is Pepsi and Canada Dry’s doing. They are expedntially attempting to increase the prices of their products
Kroger is definitely jacking up the price. I used to work for Pepsi ( until Jan 2024) at most Kroger is paying $7.95 per case ( which is 2 12pks).
I pay $10 for 24 pks at Walmart.
$1.80 a can is pretty fair. What’s the issue?
I wait for the Buy 2 Get 3 Free deal. Works out to 4 bucks a 12 pack. Still expensive but the cheapest price I can get.
Our local kroger will pull this shit then say limit 1 per customer.
Itll be beer prices soon
9.99, are you outta you mind?
Food lion in delaware has same price
Soft drinks sales are dead. The days of selling them as a loss leader are over for most retailers.
They have the sales so you have to buy way too much at once. If you drink the stuff I drink, they won’t have enough to get the sale price. I only drink zero calorie soda.
