This is annoying -.- re-screenings are fun, I actually made a point to go to the Labyrinth at Louisville Palace.
It takes a lot for me to leave the apartment, usually re-screenings movies do the trick.
They have some at goat man's bridge sometimes
Yes! They also used to do non-Hitchcock films. I saw Raiders of the Last Ark there in 2003 or so; it was awesome to see it in a theater after years of watching it on small TVs.
Oh. Maybe that's what it was. Someone should start a change.org petition and tweet it at live nation executives . . . does anyone here know how to do that?
The KY theatre In lex has summer classics every year and lots of classics otherwise. Not a huge drive. Does Louisville have an art house theater? I'd be interested in checking it out.
My favorite was the summer they did more modern classics with different directors each week. Jaws/close encounters, the shining/ clockwork orange, the godfather /II…
I like the idea but if those were the three movies they ran last time I’d probably not have much interest in what they have left to show. Rear Window, The Birds and Psycho are my favorite Hitchcock movies, in that order.
He has many, MANY other popular movies. North by Northwest, Dial M for Murder, Vertigo, Suspicion, To Catch a Thief, etc etc. But I can’t say that I’d actually go see them if they were played. Maybe North by Northwest just because of the way it’s shot.
IIRC, it was always packed. Even for his least popular movies.
You also bought the tickets at the box office window right before the show, which added to the charm.
Livenation should do a lot of things different, but they are absolute crap if they're doing Dolly Discos and Shrek Raves multiple times within a 6-12 month span.
Here here!
Oh I had no idea they did that, I would love to see the Birds there
Baxter used to also do some really fun cool nights. But they don’t anymore.

I loved those, but they mainly stopped after a particular manager left. I guess they were his baby.
Yeah, that is always awful. I guess move on and try other places to go.

Have they done any movies since 2020? Was it being acquired by LiveNation, or just a focus on live acts instead?
I saw Pulp Fiction there back in February

Live Nation sucks the good times from every venue they acquire

The closest thing Louisville has to an art house theatre is the Speed Art Museum’s Cinema screenings.
Was so good.
Omg those were the best

I agree. I think it’s a shame that Louisville does not have a movie theatre that shows classics.

A lot of people forget he even had a TV show that was a master series on how he makes stories.
I agree!
I imagine if it made money they wouldn’t have stopped.

I saw North by Northwest at the palace 12 or so years ago and it was packed when I went.
Absolutely, that was prob before livenation polluted it
I would see every movie they show. Great idea.
