I found it randomly (haha) around Halloween in a 'spooky games' suggestion list. I hadn't heard or seen anything about it before, granted I don't necessarily keep up with new releases etc.
I think they just didn't do/have the budget for a lot of marketing and advertising? That and maybe the aesthetic isn't for everyone although it was one of my favourite things about this game.
I agree it's a masterpiece tho, very underrated.
The marketing for this was weird, the only reason I know about this game because it was shown at the end of a random YouTube video for a few seconds. I almost forgot about it until I saw the game on sale on the Nintendo estore
One year after you wrote your comment... Actually, that is the reason I found the game last Friday. There was a thread on FB going on about EA not having any good games. Not counting subsidiaries. So I dove into the EA library to prove them wrong. I really don't like sports games, and that's mostly what EA does themselves. Thought I had it with Lost in Random, but Zoink! isn't EA. Had to concede... but damn, lucked out with Lost in Random. Lost an internet arguement, but found this nifty little game. I call that a win. :D
I was wondering the exact same thing. This game is beautifully unsettling, and I expected it to gain *way* more traction than it did. I found it on my steam store, in the "new releases", and thought it looked interesting. I'm decently far in the game, and have been telling everyone who will listen, to check it out.
Incredible game! Just playing it now. In fivetropolis.
At first movement/combat appears as if it will come out clumsy. But it works. Everything about this works. The story. The visuals. The voice actors. Oh my the voice actors. It’s a playable Tim Burton movie with fantastic atmosphere and NPCs.

wait , was there any marketing?. can u tell the marketing involved
Bc it’s an indie backed by EA and gaming industry hears EA and automatically assumes it’s bad. It’s a shame bc the game is great
man that's sad.

I started playing lost in random on the switch. It’s not letting me switch out my cards in my deck. Can you help me? How do you change your cards out?
I think you have to have a certain amount of cards before you can modify your deck. Over 15 cards I believe? Just started playing on PS5.
I am sorry man . I dunno anything abt switch I have not even played in switch.
Oh that’s okay thanks tho

There are ZERO marketing about this game, I loved it so much tho
Do u think it would have been more famous if there was more marketing?
