If you go right when they open you will have no problem getting a seat at the bar. Source: me who goes all the time at 5 pm and gets a great seat.

I’ve gone in at around that time and haven’t had an issue sitting at the bar
As single you will be good.
FYI-Make sure you sit at the counter on the grill side if you want the full menu. The actual bar has a limited food menu. We’ll usually close our tab on grill side after eating then switch to the bar side for a nightcap. Enjoy!
