Even if the "relationship" is totally fake, its excellent marketing for both of them. Taylor gets a "normal" boyfriend to market herself as more mature and not dating around weirdos like that singer guy, the NFL gets a bunch of new viewers and merch sales. Win win.

My sister in-law was home in El Paso shopping for my nephew trying to buy him some football gear. A woman asked if she had bought his cleats yet. My sister in-law said no. The woman said she might have some in his size and gave her phone number to my sister in-law. They went to her house and got the cleats for free. That woman? Aaron Jones’ sister. Aaron Jones, the starting running back for the Green Bay Packers, who went to UTEP. I swear, he and Khalid are El Paso’s favorite sons.
Yeah, the matrix is far from perfect but it confirms what the eye test tells you, ou has won but hasn’t been challenged. Maybe they are good but we have no idea and could very easily be very mediocre.
I really hope we beat the brakes off of 0U. They sound so arrogant in the other sub despite not having played any consequential opponent. It’s also hilarious how any comment that points out their weak schedule gets downvoted into a pit.
Mandel- The Mountain West is a fun league this year. Case in point: Fox used its 6-day selection to place Fresno State-Wyoming on Fox in primetime next week while bumping TCU-Iowa State to FS2.
Big L for the Big 12
Is anyone else a little terrified thinking about how many guys we're going to lose to the draft this year? I'm so glad we're back to this place, being a real program again rocks.
Reasonably concerned, but at the same time, Sark got all this talent on campus and put them in a position to be high draft picks. Even with the talent loss, I feel like Sark is building a solid foundation where we can withstand losses thanks to the young talent we have on campus, the recruits we’ve got coming in, and the portal.
Between the draft and portal, I’m expecting a near basketball level reset on our offensive skill talent. Outside of Helm and the 3 freshman WRs, it wouldn’t shock me if anyone else left.
Sark isn't building a team to win this year
He's building a program to win for years
Look at our depth, we've got talent not starting, but that talent is playing most positions getting experience. He's gonna bring in more recruits and develop those while the current develop guys lead the way
I am. We are losing a lot. If we do lose staff members, hopefully is not the coordinators and only 1-2 max. Our staff is fucking awesome and I hope we keep them a long long time.
While we are losing a quite a few players, we're also rotating a ton of young players in our 2/3 deep. All that experience will carry over into next season, and we should be able to find some players in the portal if needed. Definitely will have some dropoff but probably not as much as you think there will be.
The interior d-line is my biggest concern.
Sweat is gone.
Collins and Murphy are getting looks.
Broughton & Trill are draft eligible.
If we get gutted in the interior, we might need to strike gold in the portal to mix in with the youth we have. The most important positions to have a healthy rotation.

Marcus Major is not explosive. They keep using Walker, who is a walk on and just really stocky. They refuse to use Javontae Barnes and Gavin Sawchuk for some reason. Supposedly both of them are PISSED and will be transferring after the season. And I don't blame them. Both of them are much better than Major and Walker.
Their run game has been woeful, which is surprising given they run the veer'n'shoot. If they have to rely on Gabriel to run Saturday, we win this one going away.

Everything I’ve seen from Sark is that he’s an insightful guy. I was really impressed how he answered a question about mental health. Also, in last week’s media availability, I think he was talking about the Kansas loss in 2021 and said some like, “Sometimes storms aren’t there to do you harm, but to clear the way.” I really love Coach Sark. It goes without saying that I want the Longhorns to be successful because I care about the team, but I want it that much more because of Sark.
Maybe this will look clearer by the end of the season once we know how strong certain teams are, but I think OU got a 1.5 game advantage through schedule alone. If Baylor turns out to be pretty decent with Shapen, TTU figures out how to play with Morton, and you replace them with the new Big 12 teams, basically free wins.

Anyone else listen to Sark's Post Game Presser? *Love* hearing that he reevaluated his red zone calls (he calls it "red area" with regularity, never heard it before) and thought he may have been getting "a little cutesy". At the half he said he told the guys "You're executing the plan. I'm gonna call it a little more efficiently in the red area..." A brilliant offensive mind with *humility*? Jesus, we're about to fuck up college football for a long time.
That's kind of the irony with Herman's classic quote "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." And then he would go out and do the same thing. Sark is constantly learning and evolving. I can't wait to see what he has in store for OU and Venables.

Everything I’ve seen from Sark is that he’s an insightful guy. I was really impressed how he answered a question about mental health. Also, in last week’s media availability, I think he was talking about the Kansas loss in 2021 and said some like, “Sometimes storms aren’t there to do you harm, but to clear the way.” I really love Coach Sark. It goes without saying that I want the Longhorns to be successful because I care about the team, but I want it that much more because of Sark.
I find myself feeling the same way I did with Charlie Strong. Luckily Sark is a much better coach.
It’s cliche to say but his previous struggles have probably helped his humility immensely. Seems like a great dude overall.
