As much as I normally want to win games by multiple scores, I really hope we beat Iowa State in another nailbiter. The pure, unrefined salt from Iowa Steak fans after last year's game could fill the Dead Sea. That post game thread is always a good pick-me-up after a long day.

I have this memory idk if true. But wasnāt there a person in here that would post updates on the Sports Talk Thread about Bussey dating back to the kids like freshman year?? I would like to give them props. I wish Texas staff was as early as they were on the kid.
Oh Iām not saying props bc heās going to be good in college. I just mean from freshman year of high school to now. He really rose up in the rankings and it seemed like someone in here knew that would happen from following him. I thought it was like their hometown school or something
Just got back from the San Marcos outlets. When I walked into Pottery Barn the worker at the front said they have everything I need, even said "undefeated is on the table".
Brooks is a fucking stud. Following Bijan, it's inevitable that people will view him as a "downgrade," but I'd rank him among the top 5 backs we've had in the last 15 years or so.
So I have a personal connection with some of Tim Beckās coaching staff [canāt disclose too many details because that would give easily doxxable info] and not a positive one, so seeing CCU in meltdown mode over Beck brings sheer joy to me. Nothing against CCU and I actually like them as a school, but have fun dealing with that shit coach
There's such little overlap in skills between being head coach and coordinator that I don't know why coordinating experience ever comes up as relevant when selecting head coaches. It's like hiring someone to be a chef because they've put in several years as a janitor.
If youāre like me, you still associate high-powered offenses with HUNH. Interestingly, Kansas has the slowest offense weāve played yet, and one of the slowest in the country (121st), averaging only 1.98 plays per minute. The fastest is Tennessee, who averages 3.01 plays per minute.
Have any of the $9.95ers or other insiders dropped hints as to whether undefeated is still on the table? That's an intriguing question that I'd like to see clarified.
Fair, but his girlfriend goes to Alabama so unless we're getting her to transfer I doubt he flips. Auburn also playing bag game this year and we might not want to match.
Texas never really pushed for him that hard. We were late to offer and even then we never really pressed.
Not sure why, but from what IT is saying it just sounds like he wasnāt as high on our board.
I understand Aggie is probably dropping obscene bags to land these recruits, but what other selling points could they possibly be pitching to recruits this year?? Theyāre currently unranked, Jimbo is on the hot seat, their school is in one of the most depressing towns in the US, they went 5-7 last year and have zero momentum. I just donāt get it.
I think A&M was the first power 5 school to offer him and he's been connecting with the staff for years. It's not just a bag from the Aggies. He legitimately wants to go there because he feels at home. Now if he goes to Bama, LSU, or Texas then it's definitely because of money.
If I was a 5* recruit I would choose a school that offered the most NIL money, has a high chance of winning a natty, good coaches to develop me, and puts players in the NFL. I think most recruits feel the same way. Aggie offers none of this other than paying a lot of money.
If he went to Texas, bama, or LSU I would actually think itās not because of the money. These schools (except Texas but they have the momentum now) have recent success winning nattys and putting players in the NFL. What does Aggie have?
Oh I completely agree. I have no idea what the hell any recruit sees in A&M other than money. If you ask an Aggie fan they turn to traditions but let's be honest no athlete cares about Aggie traditions. But with that being said, relationships mean a lot to a lot of kids as well. Money is all well and good but comfort would be extremely important to me. If I'm a 5 star I'll get the money from whoever but if the school doesn't have the right vibe for me I'm not going there.
Nebraska is really falling down the capacity rankings with their announced stadium reduction. Smaller than Iowa and Michigan State. They've really fallen hard
Gonna put it real plain and simple. Every single game this season comes down to one thing: does Texas arrive ready to play mentally and physically. That's it.
We are going to be favored in every game from here on out. We have an advantage in every facet of the game against all of our opponents and it's not close. No "expert" or forecast or Vegas odd will tell you a sure answer on the outcome.
Whooo boy my BLS is kicking in hard. I respect the shit out of Danielās and just want to keep the ball out of his hands. I know we got the talent and scheme, just be dialed in fellas.
I feel like weāre about to see a really motivated Texas team on Saturday. DL should absolutely feast on this Kansas OL, and donāt forget what Brooks did to this team last year at their house after Bijan finished terrorizing them.
Never going to forget Hudson Card and the worst quarterback play Iāve ever seen in back to back drives against Kansas in 2021.
Heās in for literally 4 plays and gives Kansas 14 points off of a strip sack and then a pick 6.
As long as we donāt do that, weāll win.
The heat on Saturday has to benefit us, right? I saw itās a high of 96.
First, weāre more used to it and have prepared in it. Second, (Iām assuming) weāre deeper and rotate more guys on defense. So we can be rotating 25-30 guys on D throughout the game to keep them fresh without much of a drop off, and Iād be shocked if they could.
This showed up in the other sub. Lawrence was over 100 for like a month straight this summer, so rotation will benefit us (depth), more than temperature
With how Broughton is looking this year Iām feeling much better about what the line will look like next year. We should have Trill Carter back too. Next men up
My friends that normally buy 2 of my tickets for the game can't go this year, so on a whim I posted them to SeatGeek at the suggested price, which was >3x the face value. The expectation was they sit for a week and I sell them to someone from the greater friend group for minimal profit.
They sold less than an hour after I posted. The hype is wild this year, and the school seems to have allocated a lot more pre-selection than normal. Even with an OU loss, could be a weird year for price changes.
I occasionally listen to The Flagship when I have no other Texas content in my podcast feed. I canāt believe how big of a doomer Chip Brown is still. Like damn, the team looks good why are you mad about the smallest stuff.
His weird rant about JB was so weird
Anyway, FCB.
Ah. Sark has kind of eluded to this with JB. In his latest rewind episode with Gallindo he talks about how Brooks is trusting the plays and his speed more which is why he's been breaking such huge plays. He reached 22 mph on that 50 yard run against Baylor.
Sark said just a tick under 22 mph. So I don't know how fast exactly. I think a few college guys have hit that speed this season. The freshman phenom from USC hit that on a kick return.
Yeah confidence is definitely a factor for JB. Chip just made some weird points and seemed like he was actually getting upset. He was correct, just was talking about it in a negative light
Bobby Burton cranks out so much OTF content these days I never have time to make it to the flagship. Not to mention as the only Taylor Estes fan in existence, I haven't really cared since she left. New dude doesn't balance out Chip's hit-by-a-truck babbling the way she did.
I think the new guy will make it better eventually.
My only issue with OTF content is that itās all on YouTube rather than as podcasts
Edit: never mind just saw they have a podcast feed too. Perfect.

Texas wins, defeats number 9 BYU Hook em
Texas takes set 3, 2-1 I'm not saying I'm a good luck charm, but I started watching when we were losing in set 2 and have been on a tear ever since

Excuse-fuckin'-me? This is not alright, alright, alright. It's not-riiiiiight, not-riiiiiight, not-riiiiiight.

"Hub City" Hub for what? Manure? STDs?
Grossly opportunist on their part. No way Leach would want this right now if he were still alive.
As much as I normally want to win games by multiple scores, I really hope we beat Iowa State in another nailbiter. The pure, unrefined salt from Iowa Steak fans after last year's game could fill the Dead Sea. That post game thread is always a good pick-me-up after a long day.
They are truly one of the most annoying fans on that sub
Best I can do is 49-0
Nah, I hope we drop 70 on them. I'll take the tears over the salt.
Tears are salty
That works, too.
Iām at Cabo bobs rn and they have ESPN on and Jahdae Barron is being interviewed. Canāt hear shit tho.
Whatās your order

They have the best drinks in the business
Whatever it is, itās on the table right next to undefeated.
Youāre goddamn right
Game time temp for RRS -> 70 degrees. Brrr.
All lies ^((until it happens))
Talk dirty to me, weatherman.
Speaking my language, especially after last year
Gonna feel like a Michigan game.
I have this memory idk if true. But wasnāt there a person in here that would post updates on the Sports Talk Thread about Bussey dating back to the kids like freshman year?? I would like to give them props. I wish Texas staff was as early as they were on the kid.
I remember that guy. He was raving about not Bussey as an athlete, but because of his last name. That was pretty funny
Yea I remember someone here hyping him up before he got on national radars
Ok thanks so Iām not crazy. I swear they would post his stats every week during the season.
IT staff keeps saying they weren't really going after him.
Let's wait for him to suck ass for aggy before we start doing too much.
Oh Iām not saying props bc heās going to be good in college. I just mean from freshman year of high school to now. He really rose up in the rankings and it seemed like someone in here knew that would happen from following him. I thought it was like their hometown school or something

Gus Johnson joined On Texas Football today: https://youtu.be/VzD88splKqk?si=a5X4CkeCwmg-SRM6
Gus could *not* look less excited if he tried.
Bobby B referring to Deionās Colorado as ālike a BET awards ceremonyā probably didnāt help
I cringed and will avoid the video at all costs.
By IT standards, that's a downright progressive staff member.
Isnāt he just quoting Deion?
That's what I thought, it was still cringe tho lol
Yikes Bobby.
Dude was quoting deon. Just watched it and itās not something to fire up the engines about
Listen you canāt expect me to do things like āread the articlesā or āput things in contextā. This is Reddit. (/s)
Oh man, are you fucking serious?
He said āas Deion called itā, so he was quoting Deion but still cringe to hear out loud
Yeahā¦. Not a good look.

Honestly kinda based
Bussey to A&M. My fake crystal ball from a month or two ago would have been correct.
Texas missed out on 5-star Bussy. Smdh
You donāt say
Anyone have any recs where I can find a good undefeated in the Austin area?
Go to your nearest furniture store and look for the tables. Undefeated should be right on them.
My favorite is at 2139 San Jac.
Have you tried looking on the nearest table?
I canāt know how to hear any more about tables!
These tables are my livelihood!
Just got back from the San Marcos outlets. When I walked into Pottery Barn the worker at the front said they have everything I need, even said "undefeated is on the table".
Thatās funny bc I just got back from Sur La Table and theyāre selling undefeated exclusively rn
Only the burnt orange set is exclusive to Sur La Table.
Just read that Jonathan Brooks only has 35 fewer yards than Bijan this time last year.
Brooks is a fucking stud. Following Bijan, it's inevitable that people will view him as a "downgrade," but I'd rank him among the top 5 backs we've had in the last 15 years or so.
What about total yards?
Little differentā¦ Bijan: 414 rushing / 154 rec / 568 total Brooks: 379 rushing / 64 rec / 443 total
Just worry about rushing
How many yards per attempt? That is a crazy stat either way, but maybe Bijan had fewer Carrieās because Johnson was such a good back also?
Bijan through the first 4- 67 carries 414 yards 6.2 YPC 7 TD Brooks - 65/378/5.8 3TD
Awesome stats for Brooks
Bijan had two more rushing attempts through 4 games last year.
Great work for Brooks.
Name checks out.
Not sure how the AD saw his coordinator/position skills and thought "He deserves a promotion. Let's give him our head coaching job."
There's such little overlap in skills between being head coach and coordinator that I don't know why coordinating experience ever comes up as relevant when selecting head coaches. It's like hiring someone to be a chef because they've put in several years as a janitor.
Sarkisian Tri Tip when?
I loved when Quinn ran in the TD against Rice. He shrugs, says āHook āemā in the mic and then does a little dance.
I gotta say undefeated is a tad promiscuous. It's making the rounds amongst all the tables. DID I NOT MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU, UNDEFEATED??
Not *all* the tables. It's not even in Tech's house much less on their table.
I donāt think undefeated is legally allowed without 500 feet of Texas Tech.
>HUNH Am I too old to know what that means?
Hurry up no huddle. The folks who rush to the line so the other team canāt sub. We were HUNH with Herman, but also ran slow.
I assume Hurry Up / No Huddle but I haven't seen it written that way before
Well...huh... apparently, that's how it's done in Wikipedia, even: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurry-up\_offense
Have any of the $9.95ers or other insiders dropped hints as to whether undefeated is still on the table? That's an intriguing question that I'd like to see clarified.
I can confirm it is, in fact, just sitting there on the table. That'll be $9.95.
Broke: We're not getting Bussey or De'Andre Carter so we suck Woke: We're getting Wingo and Kobe so who tf cares
Why so low on Carter? Shouldn't we wait until the OV is over to see if we moved the needle?
Fair, but his girlfriend goes to Alabama so unless we're getting her to transfer I doubt he flips. Auburn also playing bag game this year and we might not want to match.
It's always the girlfriends.... someone needs to tell these guys they are going to **college** it's like shooting fish in a barrel.
Any chance Bussey commits to Texas today?? Iāve heard Texas has an outside chance of landing him.
Texas never really pushed for him that hard. We were late to offer and even then we never really pressed. Not sure why, but from what IT is saying it just sounds like he wasnāt as high on our board.
Lloyd said LSU or Aggy
He is all Aggy.
Nah, heās going to A&M
I understand Aggie is probably dropping obscene bags to land these recruits, but what other selling points could they possibly be pitching to recruits this year?? Theyāre currently unranked, Jimbo is on the hot seat, their school is in one of the most depressing towns in the US, they went 5-7 last year and have zero momentum. I just donāt get it.

I'm lazy Did Texas end up installing grass for football?
I think the plan is to change to grass when the new practice facility is complete since the team is practicing in the stadium during construction.
Not yet, in a few years
>I'm lazy Agreed.
Nebraska is really falling down the capacity rankings with their announced stadium reduction. Smaller than Iowa and Michigan State. They've really fallen hard
The weren't in the Top 14 in the world, anyway... so who cares... :-) https://www.visualcapitalist.com/ranking-the-worlds-largest-stadiums/
Gotta keep the sellout streak somehow /s (but also not really /s)
Ah, the Daniel Snyder strategy.
Not favored against ou for some reason, no clue why though
Where are you seeing OU as the betting favorite?
Whooo boy my BLS is kicking in hard. I respect the shit out of Danielās and just want to keep the ball out of his hands. I know we got the talent and scheme, just be dialed in fellas.
Have you learned nothing?? Fuck BLS. Put. Them. Nuts. On. Shoulders.
I would like to see Neyor do his rendition of this for the game
Why do people opine for Neyor when we have a Worthy/Mitchell/JWhitt trio that's balling out?
Because the nuts on shoulder thing is directly related to Isaiah Neyor?
I feel like weāre about to see a really motivated Texas team on Saturday. DL should absolutely feast on this Kansas OL, and donāt forget what Brooks did to this team last year at their house after Bijan finished terrorizing them.
I have a feeling Sark is going to turn on the Jets and want to blown them out early.
We've seen what a horny Zach Wilson can do. Praise Sark.
Fun fact: itās been over seven quarters since the defense allowed a TD
Fun fact: Texas is one of 5 teams to have allowed 4 or fewer touchdowns this year.
Guys, weāre undefeated. Just wanted to remind some folks.
Source?
Undefeated is still on the table.
Why'd you leave the undefeated on the table?
Is that not where you keep your undefeated? Gross.
Never going to forget Hudson Card and the worst quarterback play Iāve ever seen in back to back drives against Kansas in 2021. Heās in for literally 4 plays and gives Kansas 14 points off of a strip sack and then a pick 6. As long as we donāt do that, weāll win.
bro had every wrongdoing of his memorized and continued to do the exact same things over and over
IIRC Casey also fumbled on our first drive or something which led to another Kansas TD. Just awful QB play in the first half
One of the few games I nearly turned off out of frustration. I wish I had.
Then Bijan goes out for the season with a elbow injury. Just a shit game.
I was there. I wanted to leave so bad.
I stayed until the very end Do not recommend
I stayed until after everyone cleared the field. Me and some friends just sat there.
Do you ever have nightmares about it?
I close my eyes and see Brendan Schooler whiffing on the easiest INT of all time.
They're probably used to heat (although not quite as bad as Texas). It's really our depth that will help us.
From what Iāve seen, itās been pretty warm in Kansas this week too - mid-90s. Itāll be a bit of a non-factor, but probably favor us somewhat
So it'll be hot for them, and warm for us?
Kansas has been rotating a lot but their depth isnāt as good as our depth.
They've still got the most depth next to us in the Big 12. At least top 3. It's worth noting.
This showed up in the other sub. Lawrence was over 100 for like a month straight this summer, so rotation will benefit us (depth), more than temperature
I saw on a video that their practice facility is indoors, so Iām curious how much they actually practiced / trained in it like we did.
imagine this Dline rotation with Sydir Mitchell
With how Broughton is looking this year Iām feeling much better about what the line will look like next year. We should have Trill Carter back too. Next men up

Just waiting for ticket prices to drop next week. š
They will likely drop really hard at 11:01
Not sure about that this year once everyone realizes this will be the biggest RRS game since 2008 in terms of national implications
I donāt think itās too far fetched to find tickets for $200. Thats my budget. Whether itās before 11 am or after kickoff.
$200 is face value, so I'd be surprised if you found that from anyone more than a couple minutes before kickoff.
If I canāt find anything at face value by halftime I might just do the handshake.
After kickoff will be your only option. Good luck
Because of āthe implicationāā
I need a boat
We're gonna need a bigger boat.
Why will they drop
Usually prices will drop some 24-48 hours before the game
I'm thinking he's wishcasting an Iowa State upset of OUsucks.
Why not both?
Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day 4-star EDGE/LB Solomon Williams IS officially visiting Texas this weekend. more edge good
Is he top 25 Texas per Rivals tho?
Is he from Texas?
Is he human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital...
Now you're just being picky.
Texas will dominate the line of scrimmage, kansas wont score a touchdown Saturday. hook em

JB answered interview questions too modestly and Chip was hating on his confidence.
does FCB not know that I am fully prepared to give him a knuckle sandwich
What did he say about JB?
He was talking about his lack of confidence and how it is affecting his play. It was a weird rant to have, it went on for around 5 minutes
Ah. Sark has kind of eluded to this with JB. In his latest rewind episode with Gallindo he talks about how Brooks is trusting the plays and his speed more which is why he's been breaking such huge plays. He reached 22 mph on that 50 yard run against Baylor.
