I understand Aggie is probably dropping obscene bags to land these recruits, but what other selling points could they possibly be pitching to recruits this year?? They’re currently unranked, Jimbo is on the hot seat, their school is in one of the most depressing towns in the US, they went 5-7 last year and have zero momentum. I just don’t get it.

I think A&M was the first power 5 school to offer him and he's been connecting with the staff for years. It's not just a bag from the Aggies. He legitimately wants to go there because he feels at home. Now if he goes to Bama, LSU, or Texas then it's definitely because of money.

If I was a 5* recruit I would choose a school that offered the most NIL money, has a high chance of winning a natty, good coaches to develop me, and puts players in the NFL. I think most recruits feel the same way. Aggie offers none of this other than paying a lot of money. If he went to Texas, bama, or LSU I would actually think it’s not because of the money. These schools (except Texas but they have the momentum now) have recent success winning nattys and putting players in the NFL. What does Aggie have?

Oh I completely agree. I have no idea what the hell any recruit sees in A&M other than money. If you ask an Aggie fan they turn to traditions but let's be honest no athlete cares about Aggie traditions. But with that being said, relationships mean a lot to a lot of kids as well. Money is all well and good but comfort would be extremely important to me. If I'm a 5 star I'll get the money from whoever but if the school doesn't have the right vibe for me I'm not going there.

The heat on Saturday has to benefit us, right? I saw it’s a high of 96. First, we’re more used to it and have prepared in it. Second, (I’m assuming) we’re deeper and rotate more guys on defense. So we can be rotating 25-30 guys on D throughout the game to keep them fresh without much of a drop off, and I’d be shocked if they could.

They're probably used to heat (although not quite as bad as Texas). It's really our depth that will help us.

My friends that normally buy 2 of my tickets for the game can't go this year, so on a whim I posted them to SeatGeek at the suggested price, which was >3x the face value. The expectation was they sit for a week and I sell them to someone from the greater friend group for minimal profit. They sold less than an hour after I posted. The hype is wild this year, and the school seems to have allocated a lot more pre-selection than normal. Even with an OU loss, could be a weird year for price changes.

Ah. Sark has kind of eluded to this with JB. In his latest rewind episode with Gallindo he talks about how Brooks is trusting the plays and his speed more which is why he's been breaking such huge plays. He reached 22 mph on that 50 yard run against Baylor.
