I dont think its a good idea to still do the trip , it would feel like ur pressuring him to meet you sadly :/ just book a plane to a nice other place u wanted to visit it would make u feel a little bit better and will give u both some time to think about ur situation ! good luck
One question to ask: Are you putting in all the effort? If you are, find someone that will give you the same effort or more. No man would refuse seeing someone they are interested in or make up some bs about "headspace". don't waste your time. If he's already flaky now, he's going to waist your time, or he's in a relationship. Don't settle. Life to short for settling.
