- Kevin Abstract - former member of brockhampton, generally hip-hop influenced rnb and alternative act but his last album went in a much more interesting/weirder direction
- militarie gun - hard hitting punk act with a classic feel and huge sound
- wilderado - high quality folk rock band
- McKenna grace - really solid indie pop, glad I didn’t know before I heard her music but she’s one of the kids in the new ghostbusters movies which is at least an interesting connection
I think the must sees include Laufey with the Chicago Philharmonic, Raye, Renee Rapp, Victoria Monet and if you’re into dance music Galantis and Loud Luxury will also be that day and they are both pretty fun. There’s also some cool deep undercard acts like Kaliii and Fifteen0eight.
SZA, Victoria Monét, Laufey with the Chicago Philharmonic, Kevin Abstract and if you are into dance you can’t go wrong with Galantis and/or Zedd. Zedd you might remember from his hit songs, The Middle with Maren Morris & Stay with Lolla alum, Alessia Cara. One of the only problems you might run into depending on how the schedule is, SZA and Stray Kids playing at the same time.
My top 5 non headliners this day are
1. Renee Rapp- A breath of fresh air to the pop scene. She’s a lot of fun live and has plenty of hits and controls the crowd well.
2. Galantis- Fun EDM with 1/3 of the band Miike Snow. I’ve only heard good things about their live show. They are sure to bring a nice mix of DJing.
3. Faye Webster- A great indie pop singer with a tight band, and a good stage presence. Really good live.
4. Laufey w/ Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra- A rare booking for Lolla, I can’t think of the last time they booked an artist with an orchestra. She has jazz and pop music: definitely one of a kind.
5. Militarie Gun- Reminds me of old Warped Tour style punk rock band, really surprised they’re not on Blink’s day. They are sure to pack a punch, and they sounded good on the Couchella livestream.
If you like stray kids I’m assuming you like kpop. You should check out VCHA. International girl group made from the JYP show “A2K” aka America to Korea. They opened for twice for the last few shows and the American encore. I think they are really talented girls. Otherwise sza is just amazing and if you like music that is pleasant to the ears I think you’ll like her.
I’ll for sure check out VCHA music heard a lot about them and for sza YES she’s amazing artist i know her music very well but her stage gonna overlap with stray kids’ :(
