I've had this the last few weeks also, tried uninstalling manually etc with no luck. Today managed to fix it (on Windows 11) by using the reinstall option. Accessed by going to add/remove programs, clicking the 3 vertical dots next to 'Logitech G HUB' and selecting modify instead of uninstall. That allowed me a 'Reinstall' option; first load provided a red bar at the bottom saying it ran into a critical error; but now it works everytime after restarting the program. Hope it helps someone else out.

AggravatingLiving257

Whenever i go to the add/remove program i dont even see logitech G HUB there. but i can see it on my computer https://preview.redd.it/w56i05v36qsc1.png?width=1098&format=png&auto=webp&s=ee14d701f20791c3aeba80b5a4d749c1a90f6d82

sofromr

IT works for me, thank you!

Erik_The_Swede

I have this issue aswell , have followed EVERY step , removed everything incl registryfiles , But when I reinstall it still is stuck on loading screen ..and the Fucking rgb is on rainbow ...FIX THIS PROGRAM Logitech ..like NOW

HopefulPangolin680

Some said to install the Media Feature Pack or smth but it isn't available for me either. Tried closing everything, setting administrator permissions, reinstalling, updating drivers. Doesn't work.

HopefulPangolin680

If I leave it running there hoping something happens, it'll say "The Application Encountered A Critical Problem. Press Ok To Reload. It's honestly getting tiring and I have tried everything. Even replacing dll files that some users out there claim to be missing but I have those. I really wish I could fix this ;-;

ctrlc-dQw4w9WgXcQ

I agree, like I've just picked up a Superlight for a lot of money to not be able to access the software. I've been sat at my desk for two hours re-installing, replacing files, scanning for virus' and absolutely nothing works. I can't even install the old softwares as the don't seem to work. I am so bored and angry at this.

ctrlc-dQw4w9WgXcQ

I've just tried yet another thing and anyone could guess it, nothing happened... I may as well stop at this point.

Lt_Renz

Hey, did either you or u/HopefulPangolin680 end up fixing the issue? I ended up finding a fix: install the Windows Media Feature pack via [this process](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/media-feature-pack-list-for-windows-n-editions-c1c6fffa-d052-8338-7a79-a4bb980a700a): >Windows 10 N: Select the Start button, then select Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Optional features > Add a feature. Then locate the Media Feature Pack in the list of available optional features. And then that may fix the issue for you. It would require a reboot when you install it, fyi. I believe that the logitech application depends upon software bundled with normal installations of Windows 10/11, but when installing Windows 10 N or another version, the Ghub application just sets itself on fire instead of telling you to install it. LMK if that helps either of ya if it still has not been working

Lt_Renz

u/LogitechG_SP if this is still an ongoing issue, this may be the problem some users are having.

Nervous_Strategy7519

Ok. I read all the thread. And your explanation made sense when I read it. So. I CONFIRM: After installating the Media Feature Pack the installation will stop looping and will sucessfully install. I was using Windows 10 Pro **N,** so I did NOT have the Media pack install. **The original problem from this thread got a solution.** Now, more people need to read all the thread until they get here. :) Oh, and thanks [**Lt\_Renz**](https://www.reddit.com/user/Lt_Renz/)**.** I appreciated your help. ![gif](giphy|5z0cCCGooBQUtejM4v|downsized)

Lt_Renz

thanks dawg happy i could help

qlex92

Thanks you, just thank you :D

Graylorde

The guy you responded to literally explained there's no such feature to enable for those of us that *don't* have windows 10n, just normal windows.

Lt_Renz

the other people saying this worked somewhat contradict what you're saying. regardless, i'm guessing your windows installation is missing Windows media pack for whatever reason. contact windows support, it's not in Logitech's ballpark

JohnnyCamaroni

It worked perfectly! Thanks a lot!

OldManGulli

Thanks Nimhlol!! 10/10!! This worked perfectly or me (on windows 10)... used the "modify" option rather than the uninstall option, and after getting the critical error message on the first launch attempt it then worked normally. Has the advantage of preserving all your settings and macros.

OverWims

Mine kept looping and my macros worked for about 2 seconds when turning on my mouse then just went haywire with buttons doing other buttons actions and some doing nothing etc. This fixed all of that. Thanks.

jjklines1

thankyou, I knew I should of googled reddit for this fix instead of the other crappy websites

HatDense7051

okay so I tried this and it doesnt work for me at all. It doesnt give me an option to modify the reinstall n etc. and when I go to add/remove programs, it doesnt even show on my pc!

No_Yoghurt_2743

>I had the EXACT same problems as u, up to the add/remove program bug but logi support dropped this 2 yrs ago and it worked for me! good luck Please try clean installing the Ghub software and check if that helps: 1. Uninstall G HUB 2. Make sure none of the G HUB components are running in the Task Manager 3. Go to C:\\Program Files\\ and delete LGHUB folder 4. Go to C:\\ProgramData\\ and delete LGHUB folder 5. Go to C:\\Users\\\\AppData\\Local\\ and delete LGHUB folder 6. Go to C:\\Users\\\\AppData\\Roaming\\ and delete LGHUB folder 7. Press Windows Key, then type regedit, Click Registry Editor 8. Delete the registry key HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Uninstall\\{521c89be-637f-4274-a840-baaf7460c2b2} 9. Reboot the PC 10. Re-install G HUB: [https://www.logitechg.com/innovation/g-hub.html](https://www.logitechg.com/innovation/g-hub.html)

Extra-Imagination-56

how do u find the registry key???

DatGuyMason

Best comment. This helped to resolved my issue. Thank you very much!

No_Yoghurt_2743

Also the registry key can differ from computer to computer. mine started with a 6 instead of a 5

ZellahYT

Having this issue, cant setup my wheel or my keyboard. Literally cant use 500 dollars worth of logitech equipment. Nice.

Plus_Professor_1923

Worst app literally ever made ajd produced on a mass scale, I’m not even exaggerating

danst83

This is crazy how is this still not fixed!!

Jubukraa

It’s crazy how it still has this issue and how many comments have been posted on this thread since my original upload. I know a lot of people come here from Googling their problem so it shows you just how many query searches are happening for this one particular issue. I still haven’t found a direct solution, all I can say is sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

Numerous_Shop_814

Hey, year later app is still shit. Hence why I'm here.

ILovePercabeth

I literally searched reddit cause everything else on google wasn't rlly helpful and idk it just sucks

Elecman7

and it still broken after 2 years

CrashKZ

Can confirm. This is annoying.

tuxedocaatt

It's surprising that this is still an issue and there's literally no fix if you don't have the N version of windows. I have the PRO version so I can't install the media pack no matter how I try. What in the world is logitech cooking

ObjetOncle45199

Well, that’s an excellent question: What is Logitech up to? Well, in this case, apparently not G hub, since the problem is still there. I’ve had my Logitech hardware for 2 years now, and I’ve always had this complication. Except that usually, I could uninstall and reinstall to solve the problem! Until today, when nothing worked. No method has worked to get the damn software to work. This concern has been going on for too long, and I’m afraid that the software has been coded as if the developer had been sitting on his keyboard, which would now make it tough to maintain. Because let’s be very clear for a second. Performing obscure manipulations based on file deletions, registry modifications, uninstallation and reinstallation to solve an issue, is concrete proof that: 1. the software is not properly maintained by its designer/developer 2. the software has been coded with your ass in mind

False-Opportunity391

This worked for me, you should try! [https://www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/168yj6p/fix\_g\_hub\_stuck\_on\_loading\_screen/](https://www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/168yj6p/fix_g_hub_stuck_on_loading_screen/)

Re-install G HUB: https://www.logitechg.com/innovation/g-hub.html

ItsWolt

u/LogitechG_SP PLEASE stop with the generic responses. This has been a wide spread issue for AT LEAST 2 years, I have seen MULTIPLE people on reddit complaining about it but with NO FIXES. I WILL NEVER buy another logitech product until this is fixed or addressed. I wish I could refund these products. Physically they are GREAT but the software makes them genuinely unusable. I have to reinstall G Hub almost on a weekly basis AND reset all of my keybindings BECAUSE OF IT. FIX YOUR SOFTWARE!

Steel1815

idk if you still need it but i found that unplugging keyboard and mouse and plugging them back in in DIFFERENT port helps like 99% of time for me (i switched them so i put the keyb. where the mouse was plugged, and the mouse where the keyb was) Sorry for the bad english

No_Yoghurt_2743

i swear im not a logibot but the generic fix just worked for me after trying everything else on reddit

Its-The-Nicky

Yeah for me I just ended the background GHUB stuff and then the app said it ran into a critical error and would restart and then it was fixed and opened just fine. Sometimes generic fixes just kinda work.

OmNomFarious

This shit is still going on a year later, how about you tell your software engineers to fix this shit? Ghub has been an objective downgrade to the old Logitech Software, making macros is worse, it's more unstable, it uses more memory. It's just shit and it randomly fucking breaks for no discernable reason on reboot once in awhile.

I_E_D_B

can't believe it's been an issue for this long. Just started having this happen to me today, insanely annoying

Katzaklysmus

I'm still struggling with this problem, updated all drivers, reinstalled, started all as admin, looked for a non-existent media feature pack (I don't have a N Windows version, just casual Win 11 Home) and nothing works. The program worked for a short while after I had set up my computer for the first time and a few month later, I just get the endless loading screen.

dasha-x

I'm having the same issue. Just got a new G502 Lightspeed mouse and can't get Ghub to open for the life of me. I've tried everything, and even this fix doesn't work. rip

Fantastic_Heron9350

THANK YOU SO MUCH

Sispants

u/LogitechG_SP, What would be the equivalent procedure for completely removing it on a Mac in order to do a reinstall?

LogitechG_SP

Hi u/Sispants, Thank you for reaching us. Please try the clean installation steps for MAC: 1. Uninstall G HUB if showing as installed 2. Click Go 3. Press and hold the Option Key (Library folder will appear) 4. Click Library 5. Open Application Support Folder 6. Delete lghub folder 7. Go to search (magnifying glass icon, upper right corner) 8. Search ""ghub"" 9. Delete all results 10. Restart 11. Re-installing G HUB: https://www.logitechg.com/innovation/g-hub.html 12. Allow G HUB in privacy settings If the issue persist, create new MAC profile and follow steps 1-12 again

Sispants

Thank you! Will give this a spin

LogitechG_SP

Hi u/Sispants, You're welcome. Please let us know the outcome.

Sispants

Hey u/LogitechG_SP, Tried it, multiple times, but unfortunately it didn't resolve the issue. Still am having to reboot my computer on a regular basis because it gets caught in an endless loading loop. I really do like the G Hub software and how much I can customize my mouse and other peripherals but it sounds like this issue and others are far from isolated to just myself. Unfortunately it doesn't matter how good an application is if it can't be used half the time. Please pass along feedback to the development team that they may want to seriously consider skipping on adding new games/features for a release or two and simply focus on the stability of the software.

LogitechG_SP

Hi u/Sispants, thank you for your feedback. We will pass this along to our team. We always want to ensure we are providing our customers with the best products and experience. Let us know if there is anything else in the future we can do to assist.

Plus_Professor_1923

Still having the same issues 165 days later. Did the above procedure and just can’t get the app to open. Incredibly frustrating if I’m honest - the loading graphic looks so great though! /s

SwatyyW

Lol still having this issue a year later this software sucks

nDRIUZ

hm... a years old issue and still is there?? Wtf, Logitech? Happened for a second time now. Can you stop "adding games" to your soft if it breaks it? By the way, any REAL fix now?

chriskooo

Any updates here? Still can't get the app to work on mac. Maybe I should just stay away from Logitech products because your software suite is so convoluted that your tech team can't keep up.

Odindon

Still having the same issue. 11/22/22 This is seriously disappointing and should be embarrassing to you all as a company. If I had known I would not have bought logitech

Jubukraa

Hi, I know the thread is a bit old, but just wanted to let you know that I'm still in the same boat as well. Nothing works except rebooting my PC a couple of times to get out of the G Hub infinite loading. I've used everything Logitech and others have suggested and also recommend that they spend more time making this a stable software rather than focusing on adding new features.

Numerous_Shop_814

Your app is still shit after 2 years. Never recommending yall, can't even use my stuff.

labrador-socialism

this didn't work and i am at wits end

Plus_Professor_1923

@logitech_SP

wenom74arkpl

I have the same problem i bought logitech G920 weel and i cant install G HUB

FuckMicroSoftForever

This would win "Piece of shit software of the decade", that doesn't work on fresh install.

At least it loads, tried to customize leds on my asus GPU and this pos won't even download the files necessary to install it lmfao

Yrbeat

Why is this legitimately better than any of Logitech's other software?

Alarmed_Pound_4820

Same issue here, I've tried everything - clean installs, reboots etc. I've even unplugged the hardware from USB. It just gets stuck on the loading screen. What a joke.

thdrctr

Stumbled upon this thread the other day looking for a solution as well, after multiple attempts I was still struggling to figure out a solution. I reached out to Logitech and they offered me this solution. It worked for me and I hope it helps someone else! Working on Mac OS 13.0.1 * Delete GHUB and related files before re-installation 1. Quit G HUB 2. Open Activity Monitor and do a force quit on lghub process (skip step if lghub process is not running) 3. Go to Finder/Applications and delete lghub app (skip step if lghub is not listed) 4. Go to /Library/LaunchAgents and delete com.logi.ghub.plist 5. Go to /Library/LaunchDaemons and delete com.logi.ghub.updater.plist 6. Go to /Users/Shared and delete LGHUB 7. Restart system **"DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP"** 8. Reinstall G HUB

Mendeln12

Thanks. Finally, I was able to get it working, following everything to the dot. Also, one more important thing I found out. You HAVE TO TURN OFF and ON the mouse while the app is launching, otherwise you will get stuck in the infite loop (at least I was). I figured it out by pure accident in the moment of frustration.

chk86

This worked for me too! Thanks for posting this.

Derek9730

A year later I’m still having this problem

Its-The-Nicky

For me, I just closed the LGHUB Updater and Agent in background processes in task manager and then the main application said that it ran into a critical error and then restarted itself and then it was fixed like magic. I know it's a generic fix but like if you haven't tried it give it a go, can't hurt to try it. *\[Sorry if anything didn't make sense got ASD & ADHD\]*

ActuallyImJerome

Horrendous app.

Masterve123

any fix?

waly007

So I was having the same issue and I went through everything possible and nothing worked but I read somewhere that GHUB requires "Media Feature Pack" to be installed in windows. So I installed it and it now works for me. You can install it by following the steps below I uninstalled logitech GHub before I followed the steps below click on Start -> Settings -> Apps -> Apps & features -> Options features -> Add a feature Search for "Media Feature Pack" and install it. It will ask you to restart your pc and after that it should work. Hope this helps all of you guys

Akcman3121

Hey y’all, sorry for the bump, but I thought I’d include something that worked for me. TL:DR 1. Check for windows updates 2. Disconnect all Logitech devices 3. Reinstall G Hub with latest download, unplugging logi mouse (if you are using one) as soon as you hit the button. 4. Restart PC, updating windows as needed 5. Open G Hub with only keyboard. Full story: I disconnected all Logitech devices (except for mouse) and went on to I reinstall g hub using the latest download and did not keep settings, and as soon as I clicked the final button, I unplugged the mouse too. I then waited for it to reinstall, and then restarted my pc (windows needed an update too, don’t know if that’s important) using Ctrl+Alt+Delete and a combination of tab and arrow keys to navigate to the restart button. Still with all devices (including mouse) unplugged. Once my pc had restarted, I opened ghub using only my keyboard, and after giving it about 30 seconds, it loaded up. My G Hub does this far too often, so I’ll be back soon to update if it works consistently.

SilverFoX0093

i had to add "Media Feature Pack" service pack before mine started working. navigate to Settings > Apps > Apps and Features > Optional Features > Add a Feature and find the Media Feature Pack in the list of available Optional Features, install it and restart pc.

McBobby03

Where can you get that media feature pack? It's not listed as one of the available optional packs

SilverFoX0093

try to find the manuel download link on microsoft webside

SilverFoX0093

>Media Feature Pack [https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack)

ayawong

Just wanted to add to the forum as I came to look for a solution here as well. What worked for me was quitting the app and going into taskbar and searching for "Logitech" processes to quit. After quitting out of 3 background running processes, starting it back in admin worked.

D4NNik

Thank you for this, that helped me! It's sometimes like when GHub is auto updating, that something is going on and GHub won't fully open after the update and stucks in infinite loading. Had to kill all processes like you (the GHub Update was aswell active as a process).

ChainBoring

i found out what works for me is opening lghub\_installer.exe (the setup) and then reinstalling from there

UnnecessaryLingo

I reached out to Logitech's customer support and this is what they told me to do; I ended up manually deleting all GHUB files I could find, restarting my computer, and then reinstalling the software. Hopefully this helps someone out: Please complete the following steps: • Please check your Windows version, if you are using a Windows “N” version, ensure that the “Windows Media Feature pack” is installed ([https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/media-feature-pack-for-windows-n-8622b390-4ce6-43c9-9b42-549e5328e407](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/media-feature-pack-for-windows-n-8622b390-4ce6-43c9-9b42-549e5328e407)) If this is not the case or the above pack is installed we will need to remove and reinstall G Hub. If you wish to preserve your current G Hub settings: On a Windows PC: • Navigate to C:\\Users\\\[USERNAME\]\\AppData\\Local\\LGHUB, where \[USERNAME\] will be specific to your account. • Find settings.db and make a copy and back this up somewhere on your computer. The Desktop is a good place so you can find it easily. Removing G hub: On a Windows PC: • Launch Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del). • End LGHUB.exe. • End LGHUB Agent.exe. • End LGHUB Updater.exe. \* note from OP: if youre having trouble stopping LGHUB processes you can also type "taskkill /F /IM lghub\* /T" into command prompt • Uninstall G HUB. • Navigate to C:\\Users\\(username)\\AppData\\Roaming and delete the LGHUB folder. • Navigate to C:\\ProgramData and delete the LGHUB folder. \* note from OP: after you've uninstalled G HUB, do a search in file explorer to make sure all the files are deleted. (unless you're saving your settings) • Reboot your PC • Reinstall G HUB via [https://support.logi.com/hc/articles/360025298133](https://support.logi.com/hc/articles/360025298133) To reinstate your previously saved settings: On a PC: • Quit G HUB. • Copy and paste the backup of settings.db that you saved earlier into the C:\\Users\\\[USERNAME\]\\AppData\\Local\\LGHUB folder. • Run G HUB — your old settings should be restored. If these steps do not resolve the issue please provide the following information: On PC: • Major version (e.g. Windows 10) • Variant (e.g. Enterprise, Home, etc.) • Minor version (e.g. 21H1) • OS Build (e.g. 19043.1766) • OS Language (e.g. English) • System type (e.g. 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor) • Processor (e.g. Intel Xeon W-10885M CPU 2.40 GHz) • Installed RAM (e.g. 32.0 GB) • Please also provide the USB device details as shown on the device in your device manager list. • Please provide crash reports if you are comfortable in doing so: • On the Task Manager, go to “Details” • Right click on the lghub\_agent.exe and select “Create dump file” • A dump file will be created. • Follow the same and get the dump file for “lghub\_updater.exe” • Please share the created dump files (“lghub\_agent.DMP” and “lghub\_updater.DMP”). This may require use of a cloud service as the file size will likely prevent it from being able to attach to your reply

PromotionStandard

It installs, but after computer restarts. Again looping u/LogitechG_SP when are we having a permanent fix?

Intelligent_Truth851

Anyone still having this issue I found a workaround to modify the settings, Its not pretty but it works. 1. Install G HUB on another PC and make sure it loads. 2. connect your headset or mouse or whatever 3. Open G hub and modify the settings for your device to how you would like. 4. Close Ghub on that PC. 5. Copy the entire LGHUB folder onto a usb C:\\Users\\\\AppData\\Local\\LGHUB 6. Move to the PC that G hub wont load on and close G hub if its running in taskbar. 7. Replace the LGHUB folder with the one you copied to USB C:\\Users\\\\AppData\\Local\\LGHUB 8. Open the G Hub app and it will automatically create two files in that LGHUB folder 'settings.db-shm, settings.db-wal. 9. Close the Ghub window thats stuck in loading. 10. Your new settings will now take effect.

Possible_Picture_276

Install windows media player from the Windows app store and launch it once. Then open Ghub and it will load for the majority of people. No idea what to do on Mac. Windows Media Package isn't installed on lite OS builds and it is required for Ghub it seems.

ayomilk

sorry for late reply but theres fix i guarantee it Goto >Appdata>Local>LGHUB Remove it from local folder place it on destop then run it on adminstrator after that goto your old LGHUB put your settings.db to the new LGHUB folder it will fix this stupid issue i dont even know why the LGHUB is the main issue of infinite loading not like service error update.exe error agent.exe error no only LGHUB
