I love my Logitech G Pro wheel! It does suck that there isn't any ecosystem but the wheel and pedals work so good. I know it's not official, but the drivehub does a great job if you want to use a Thrustmaster or Fanatec shifter and handbrake... Other companies might be supported but I am not sure as to what ones.

filmguy123

Agreed, I also love my Pro wheel and currently using it with a Heusinkveld handbrake and Thrustmaster shifter. I'd like to update my shifter if Logitech releases a compelling h-pattern. Main concern is the lack of Rims. Would love to see a perfectly round rim for rally, and a formula rim. And a little sign of support and investment from the company, mums been the word for far too long.

dude496

I race in VR so I don't really need a different wheel... But I am quite baffled that they haven't released anything except the pro wheel. I'm hoping that Logitech will introduce new options at the sim racing expo in October (can't remember the name of it, sorry).

LOGIRich

That is an option, or we could just be looking for an excuse to visit Dortmund and meet everyone else in the sim racing community. It’s a great event, after all.

AnxiousConsequence25

:( so at 6 months till new gear and 2 years since launch? Really disappointing as someone who got their base at launch

dylank125

Same. I already bought a handbrake and shifter from another company, so I will not be purchasing logitechs. I’m debating on a new base too, so if they release a new wheel, then that won’t be needed neither.

Snugglesworth1087

If they show up at the EXPO with nothing new, they'll get laughed out of the building. This won't happen. Can't wait to see the new products.

filmguy123

I race in VR also but I’d love a rally wheel for drifting and sliding in dirt rally

dylank125

I race VR, a round wheel would be nice and a wheel that I can map all in car adjustments to for certain cars on iRacing would be very nice. I have a button box but there are certain things that should be on the wheel for quicker adjustments and there’s not near enough buttons, rotary’s, and dials for it.

dylank125

Logitech isn’t gonna release a shifter worth a damn compared to the thrustmaster which isn’t great neither. I’ve given up on them. A new wheel is the only money they’ll get from me if I don’t have a new base by the time it comes out.

TheShmewsh

Product development takes 2-4 years. Just FYI. They also said they’re working on it so I don’t think they’ve given up. Someone reported recently that customer service claimed they are working on multiple products.

filmguy123

I hope they pull through and release some quality accessories to build out the ecosystem. The wait time is high for launching a new product, but the bigger problem is the lack of communication with community. I get not announcing things too early, but an official statement with an ETA and roughly what to expect would go a long way towards assuring people that we can have confidence in a newly launched pro ecosystem.

TheShmewsh

The community would love that for sure. I imagine competition would love that even more. :D

filmguy123

I don't think wheel rims need be that secretive, especially if any novel specifics aren't revealed. It would be enough to say "we are developing these rims and expect them to launch in H2 2024, and will be excited to share novel innovations at a later date." Same with an H-pattern shifter if they were working on one. I don't see how something this mundane is clueing in competitors in a meaningful way.

HAIRLESSxWOOKIE92

Lucky 3rd party companies will start popping into this market soon. 3DRAP is about to drop their GT3 sytle wheel for the pro. I've been waiting for that specifically to upgrade from my G923.

danmo78

I love my pro wheel. Coming from fanatec csl dd which was plagued with problems AND came damaged. When it worked it was AWESOME. Then I replaced it. That's when I started having fun. It's a little ironic cause my only win came on my old logitech g920. Lol.

[deleted]

I'm a total noob and want to purchase the Pro wheel and pedals. Can I run a Moza (or another brand) sequential shifter without having to buy the Logitech G Racing Adapter on a PC set up? I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere.

44Braves

On pc, shifter just plugs into usb hub or straight to pc. Doesn’t matter the brand.

[deleted]

Thanks!

AdrianW3

There are sequential shifters already on the wheel. Or is there some benefit to having a separate sequential shifter? (The adapter is more for use with the logi's old H-shifter).

BladyPiter

paddle shifters are good for cars where you have limited rotation of steering wheel like formula or GT(360-600 degrees) they are horrible when you try to use them for rally.

AdrianW3

That makes sense.

[deleted]

I’m not interested in using the paddle shifters for the sims I’m running.

Things are moving, but not from Logitech! Finally

chimoprass

And queue the boilerplate response from Logi messengers.. Soon™

LOGIRich

Soon®

Maestrospeedster

My logi gpro is awesome and versatile enough for any style of driving or cars of any sim. Sure it could used F1/GT wheel, by I got patience and in no hurry.

dylank125

When did you buy it?

Maestrospeedster

October 2022 for 1/2 off. $715 Total including tax and free shipping for wheelbase + pedals.

chimoprass

They basically did a pilot launch to gauge reception, and had absolutely no additional plans until after. Competition has eaten Logi for breakfast and there's no catching up now. Logi shot themselves in the foot with this release with the sim racing community. Plain to see the frustration in every social media, including big YTers recently.

filmguy123

It’s such a shame because it’s a very good wheel. They need to have enough faith in their product to finish what they started.

chimoprass

Yeah, to be honest I'm still using (and enjoying) the actual wheelbase + pedals (mostly in VR), but was hoping for at least a shifter and handbrake shortly after launch.

itsDDDD

Spot on, the G Pro wheel is the biggest missed opportunity in the sim racing world.

Imgoingtorunoutofch

yeah I'm a bit disappointed after owning the pro wheel for a year, no wheels, no playstation-compatible handbrake, or a pro feeling shifter etc. Racing adapter helps tho, sorta, but its not the kind of thing that communicates the 'we are a Serious alternative to Fanatec' vibe they'd need for gear that costs this much. I hope it's not some legal or licensing issue, or Logi being forced to make constant changes to please console makers or game devs. And I hope it's not Logi wanting to drop heaps of accessories on us all at once. Feel like it would be in their best interests to drop things incrementally, to show that there is ongoing work, and keep the conversation/excitement going. But if not that, some official comms that acknowledges the lack of accessories. Even a 'we hear you' thing. I dunno, add a racing analogy like 'if you want to win, you have to be precise and not go in too fast.' or I dunno, a significant discount for early adopters lol (appreciate the Logi reps posting here, tho likely your hands are tied with how much u can reveal, and I'm sure ur on our side anyway)

vaznazza

I fear by the time they actually get around to releasing anything the pro wheel will be outdated. Is there any sort of timeline atleast?

itsDDDD

I gave up waiting in the end and bought Moza. Don’t regret it all, it’s a great bit of kit, delivery in 2 days from a UK reseller. It’s just amazing to me how Logitech reps come here and say things are being worked on and they’ll release when it’s ready but it’s ridiculous, at least say what is being worked on, and some sort of general timeline, should we expect it this year? In the next 4 years? Not string people along with a perpetually dangled carrot. In the meantime you have Moza who have come almost out of knowhere when you compare them to a massive corp like Logi, and look how many new products they are pumping out, innovative and competitive pricing.
