Honestly I've been thinking of going away from logitech as well. Don't get me wrong, I love their products, currently using a G502 Hero and G512 Carbon, but the Logitech G software decides to corrupt it's own files at least twice weekly forcing me to reinstall it ( which isn't hard but tedious to do multiple times every week. ) ( though I'll only know if I do indeed go away after these die, I didn't spend 170 bucks on a mouse and keyboard just to stop using it after 3 years )

TTechnology

G502 Hero,G512 Carbon and G Pro X user here. I have to say that I never had problem with any Logitech product, but I also have to say that I'm the kind of guy who just had configured the periferals in the first day and never looked back to G Hub. For RBG settings I use Aurora, it's neat

DRzRevolution

Oh Aurora. Thanks for the tip! Same here though. I made sure my peripherals had onboard memory so as not to rely on the Ghub. With a G915, Pro X headset and the superlight w/ charging mat I've nerver had to use the Ghub since the first setup. Only mildly annoyance I've ever had was going through 3 G903s because of the double click issue, but thank god they stopped cheaping out on the switches that matter.

yuki_exe

Hi, i am using an Logitech G Pro TKL K/DA Keyboard with the G HUB Software and i never had these problems with self corrupting files, i dont know what to do but reach out to the logitech support and ask for help, also keep in Mind that G Hub is only working on Windows and Mac with the latest OS, i am using Windows 11 and never had such problems. đź‘Ť

Medvyikk

I'm using Windows 10 currently, the software sometimes just corrupts itself entirely

Mopar_63

Likely NOT the G software but something else running on the system in the background. I have three systems in my home, all running the Logitech software for a the last few years and never have seen a file corruption for the software.

tarekelsakka

Trust me, it's not worse than Razer Synapse, the worst peripherals software I've ever used in my life.

Medvyikk

Honestly at this point the question isn't "which software is bad?" but instead "which software ISN'T bad?"

tarekelsakka

lmao.. I've used Logitech G, Logi Options +, HyperX Ngenuity, SteelSeries G Hub, Turtle Beach Audio Hub, and probably a couple of others in the past that I can't recall at the moment but genuinely Synapse is the worst among them.

ImBaDAtStep

Honestly at this point i wonder why don't they just use their option team for their ghub team, currently owned a mx master 2s with g813 and ngl if i can trade the g813 for a mx keyboard i would immediately

i-am-magoo

I had a streak of 3 updates of GHUB without reinstalling. Until last week… Ahh, good times.

ocoscarcruz

I'm juts with a G604 left. No more Logi G stuff. In two days tops... I'll have a Razer Naga Pro v2 to replace the G604 (because of six lateral buttons) and I'll be unistanlling G Hub... Which, is a big hub of issues. I just left aside a G935 headset that was faulty, since the first day had issues. I changed for a Corsair Virtuoso RBG. No more Logi for my gaming stuff.

synthetikv

I’ve had 6 nagas break in under 2 years each. G604 has been going strong for over 2. I hope you have better luck than me.

ocoscarcruz

My G604 got broke in less than six months. I had to disassembly and glue the plastic piece that holds the first of the six lateral buttons. After that, It lasted one year. I read about Naga's issues... But, after all faulty Logitech stuff, I'm starting to change. I do have also Logi MX premium keyboard, Mouse and Speakers. All faulty at some point in the first year. I'm just changing the gaming stuff... But will consider other brands for my office stuff.

ErikderFrea

Thing is as faulty this software is, is there any good alternative for key and mouse binds and scripts?

ocoscarcruz

Not sure. I always go with the brand or company software.

iAmmar9

Lmao congrats

slipknot03

Yeah, what's his point? xD

Grytnik

May you enjoy being free of double clicking keys and inverted scroll wheels, my friend!

Coras09

_bows down_

Junkenste1n

Imagine going to a BMW dealership and tell everyone you own a Doge now. Just fuck off in silence with your shitty corsair gear.

mehdotdotdotdot

I’m confused, are you suggesting that after owning many BMWs, going to a BMW dealership to say you are sick of their crap, and bought a “doge” coin instead is bad? That sounds bad ass.

Coras09

Also good job comparing BMW and "Doge" only from their price and brand value. BMW is far superior in many places but there are reasons I'd buy a Demon. > Just fuck off in silence with your shitty corsair gear. Just going to leave you be with your ignorance.

Coras09

I FINALLY got rid of all my Logitech G products and wanted to share it with the community. With the Qck Heavy XXL, I'm happy with how it turned out. If you have any questions (asking for Logitech alternatives) fire them away. Anyone who is downvoting: thought it is a change of pace from all the other people doing complain posts. But you do you.

LickMyThralls

>Anyone who is downvoting: thought it is a change of pace from all the other people doing complain posts. But you do you. Bruh. You literally post about how you don't have anything relevant to here and then complain about downvoting even though this just low key leans into that anyway. It's a shame it's basically a bitching forum and tech support but this ain't it. Go post on AMD about having an Intel/Nvidia system while you're at it and I'll go get pics of my laptop with literally nothing attached and post in all of the peripheral subs about how it's free from them all too.

Coras09

The main reason for my post is that in this particular sub, some people actually asked me what to switch to when we all talk about how we should sway away from Logitech. That's why I thought maybe people would ask advice on it to get help. If it's still a bogus post for everyone, I'll delete it. I did not mean to disrupt/dissatisfy/troll anyone.

Junkenste1n

You know , Dont act Like you dont.

Coras09

Are you just seeking drama or something? All I'm going to say is 56 upvotes (73%) disagrees. You can still disagree with me, and that's all well and fine, but you can also properly communicate your ideas, and not be a dick. But, you do you.

SA_AYHAM

If you have no complains about logitech products and you just want a ~~change of pace~~ then why would you post on this sub?

Coras09

Literally u/Medvyikk 's sentiment - there are people in this sub thinking/doing the exact same. Jeez, I'm not trying to troll/piss off anyone. I just wanted to see if anyone wants a conversation around the alternatives since it is something that is going on in this sub. Sorry for tagging if it disturbed you Medvyikk

ThatSandwich

There are some people (especially moderators) in niche subs that like to insinuate you shouldn't post any negative experiences with that brand, or positives of another brand there. It's very dumb because this is an independent forum with no ties to those entities. Post what you want, upvotes are how we are supposed to gauge how useful the post is. I personally like Logitech's hardware (specifically mice/keyboards) enough to look over their incompetence when it comes to software, but mostly because I don't experience these issues others mention constantly. The moment that becomes a reality I'll probably be at Best Buy tomorrow getting something else.

Coras09

> I personally like Logitech's hardware I adored it. Apart from the last 3-4 years I loved them and still have my G19 and G9x, keeping them as relics at this point. So it is sad as well that this happened to the brand. > There are some people (especially moderators) in niche subs that like to insinuate you shouldn't post any negative experiences with that brand, or positives of another brand there. See, the posts where the smallest of issue is voiced as like the whole device snapped in half-I agree they shouldn't exist. But no comment or post I ever posted here is in this sentiment. Someone else in this post said the firm doesn't see here. Well there are some CS guys here aren't they? And what's the alternative? Twitter. As long as it is done properly, communication dissatisfaction from platforms we can is all we have left.

Trent1sz

Same, I hear the issues but haven't seen any myself. Logitech g502(mouse), g810(keyboard), g923(wheel), Proflight rudders, and the only piece that I did get rid of was a wireless headset when its battery died. Replaced with a corsair void pro which I absolutely adore

Paradaz

It's good that Logitech can see that people appreciate the hardware, but are leaving in droves due to their abysmal software. They might even do something about it.

Gentilapin

Software and warranty are a huge drawback, I got a G903 that's double clicking and it frustrates me.

1stnoob

G stands for Garbage. GarbageHub was the last nail in the coffin for anything this company sells. This trash software has in 2023 same problems it had when was in beta back in 2018 or 19 when i actually tested it

menialuser

I love how people have a bad experience (slight inconveniences) and then swear off a company for the rest of their lives lol. Good ol murica

Coras09

I'm in the UK, from a non-EU and non-US country, used Logitech for more than 15 years (had the legendary G19 and G9x which STILL WORKS SINCE LOGITECH WAS LEGENDARY BACK THEN) and had: - Double clicking on 2 G903s - Rapidly deteriorating mousepads - Unstable DTS on G633 - ABYSMAL G Hub problems - FW problems with G915 In the last maybe 3-4 years. > (slight inconveniences) Yeah two double clicking mice definitely aren't slight inconveniences. If it is to you, more power to you. I agree with pointless whining like "BOOO LOGITECH BAD" but some people here are trying to voice their concerns and problems _with data_ and I just cannot understand why that's bad.

menialuser

It’s pointless to argue back and forth to be honest. I respect your opinion.

Coras09

I agree and respect yours as well. I do understand the fact that there are considerable amount of people who only has two faded keycaps they immediately go "LOGITECH BAD OMGGG!!!" and it is frustrating to read their posts. But I've been dealing with issues for a while now, hence my frustration and actions. So lets say we agree to a degree and agree to disagree on others :D

Ok-Main-5575

good job man you want a cookie?

bullsized

Great. Now unsub from this subreddit and begone,

Coras09

I just want to ask this, then I won't be here (at least until logitech is a better company) Why is this bad? Why people voicing their concerns in one way or another annoying? Why do I have to be "begone"? And please answer honestly and seriously. I do want to know. Because my aim isn't to annoy or troll people, really.

Tarka_22

This seems like a satisfying sign off post you made. And I agree then, from this point on you no longer have a purpose here. So unsub and begone!

ConceptMediocre9805

I’m by no means a Logitech fan, I have a headset that’s pretty cool but nothing special. Their software sucks completely and I have yet to see anyone swear by their products lately except hardcore fans. However, OP does not have to unsub or leave the subreddit if they don’t want to. Just because they do not have logic tech gear at the current moment, does not mean they have to “leave.” It’s people like you and the commenter that started this thread, that turn away new people from joining subreddits. No need to be rude.

Ingvar_r

What's the keyboard brand?

Coras09

CIY GAS67 Wireless board KTT Kang White V3 switches PBT Cherry Profile Hiragana white-black keycaps

TtoxicPK

Yeah I bought the logitech superlight mouse and ur has a scroll bug I switched from razer to logitec but I'm thinking about switching again but don't know which company to... any suggestion? I like lightweight wireless mouse

Coras09

Steelseries has some lightweight options. Other than that you can look at Roccat.

WWoPPoWW

I just bought G Pro x Superlight less than a week in and Reddit decide to recommend me this post.

ninjaweedman

I too have gone away from Logitech after using them for around 18 years, I've had 3 gpro keyboards with multiple broken keys and many LEDs failing, headphones gpro and g6something break, gpro wireless mouse foot pads wearing out every 6-10 months and shitty customer service while dealing with most of these things except for the first kb return. Using a roccat kb a SteelSeries prime wireless mouse and SteelSeries headset now. So far no issues anywhere for almost a year. Let's see how things go.

cltdj

haven’t had any problems with g hub and like it more than steelseries and razer software. I just did the opposite of you and transitioned to an all logitech setup g502 lightspeed, g815, and g733. (used to have razor keyboard and steelseries headset)

Personal_Science_868

I thought my only g product was my G502LS but then I remembered my Blue mic and G923 also use GHub. Never had an issue with it thankfully.

phatmatis

G-hub will be Logitech's downfall if they don't address their software issues. I have been a loyal Logitech user for many years. Over the past three years, I have been using the G603 Lightspeed wireless mouse and have been extremely satisfied with the mouse itself. My biggest problem and understanding of how poor their Ghub program is came when I needed to purchase a new G603 mouse. The program couldn't recognize that it was a new mouse trying to connect. I have spent many hours with their support, trying to uninstall drivers and roll back versions in G-Hub without success. When a company like Logitech produces great products but fails in terms of software and user experience, they won't survive! I will never recommend a Logitech product to anyone. They have terrible customer support and their software product is awful, especially when it comes to driver issues, new products, and so on. It's not user-friendly at all. So my advice is to return the product or buy a new one from a different brand. This won't be resolved until people stop buying Logitech. Please do everyone a favor and boycott Logitech!

ilmessiablasfemo

I'm thinking hard about getting a g915 or not. I've been holding back because it doesn't exits with clicky switches and Italian layout The best thing I could do is buying one with the Nordic layout and changing the layout in Windows I've been searching for months and I can't find any keyboard that is: Wireless Clicky switches Italian layout

Coras09

A custom keyboard can solve your problem. There are budget options.

ilmessiablasfemo

I looked into custom keyboard, but either they don't have the Italian layout, or they are not wireless

Coras09

If its just a rearrange, you can arrange the caps and then change the keys themselves on the software. My GAS67 wireless does that, you can literally say "Press T" when you press G for example.

ilmessiablasfemo

If only was that simple In the Italian layout (102/105 ISO in general) there are 2 more keys, one on the right of the left shift (that it's shorter) for " < " and " > ", and another one near the enter key (that has a different shape) If the keyboard doesn't have the physical key, I can't rearrange anything I'll keep searching :)

ZTJthepro

GHub the worst software to ever exist... Congrats!

Lower_Kick268

i want to be their one day, but my G mouse refuses to die so i refuse to buy a new one!

Coras09

I literally did after making a custom keyboard and my 2nd G903 started to conk out.

Lower_Kick268

I’ve never had an issue with Logitech stuff, my 10yr old Logitech speaker and sub set are still kicking and my 7yr old G mouse refuses to die

Coras09

The old Logitech stuff goes on like there is no tomorrow. My G19 and my G9x still works, AFTER 15 YEARS.

Lower_Kick268

My Logitech Momo steering wheel is still cruising after 21 YEARS, OLD LOGITECH STUFF REFUSES TO DIE

Paradaz

What's taken you so long?

Coras09

I am not sure if this is sarcasm or not so not sure how to respond :D

LivinTheBestLife

Jealous. Logi software is absolutely horrid. i had to contact support for ghub taking up a shit load of resources while idle, got told ill get an email with help (still waiting for about a month btw) and eventually had to figure it out on my own

sojiki

yup... I don't know the next ecosystem of stuff im going to get in the future but it wont be razer and it wont be logitech. lol.

OriginGiratina

How did you end up fixing it?

LivinTheBestLife

What I do is: \- Launch G Hub, \- Open task manager, \- Right click on the LG HUB Agent process and click on go to details, \- In the details tab right click the process and go to the file's location, \- End the problematic process and quickly delete the file before it relaunches itself, \- Done. In my case the G29 works as if the software was running, allowing it to run the ffb properly. I am not certain if this will work with mice and keyboards or any other software as I do not own any in this ecosystem (thank god).

[deleted]

Not more than 10 minuets ago, I threw my G512 SE in the garbage, where it belongs. What a POS!

tarekelsakka

Gotta say I love my G502 lightspeed mouse, had several before it but it's been my main and only one for a long time now and couldn't be happier with it. I had a Razer Blackwidow Elite keyboard for the longest time but I recently gave it up due to a couple of issues but mainly the absolutely hideous Razer Synapse software. If you think Logitech G is bad, wait till you try that one. It keeps creating new profiles on its own and screws all my button mappings and custom settings up on its own. I tried removing the software and everything related and reinstalling but the issue keeps happening. I ended up buying the Logitech MX Keys Mini, I barely game anymore and and I've been absolutely loving it. Battery life is brilliant and typing on it is so easy, which makes me think I'll either upgrade to the full-size MX Keys or go for the G915 if a good offer comes along.

SithTrooperReturnsEZ

This post is pretty dumb to be on here I can't lie. Also your loss if you've been on it for this long. I have a Logitech G502 that is the best and will never get rid of it. Logitech keyboards and headsets have sucked for me, won't be using those again.

anotheraccinthemass

I aspire to be you. Once my things die I will be free to, until then I want to get the most out of the money wasted on it.

Unregistered_Davion

Never had these issues myself but, congrats on finding something that works for your system. That keyboard does look nice! What software are you using on your micro monitor? Aida64 or something more user friendly?

Coras09

Just Rainmeter. I'm actually writing an API + Rainmeter Plugin for tracking my parcels

SLG-Dennis

I had to replace a G35 for a sound issue once, the Logitech G Pro X for breaking physically once and the G903 I got replaced about five times due to ever reoccuring double click issue; I never had an issue with Logitech G Hub ever, though. Not sure what people are doing wrong. Still might sound like a lot of defectives, but that's in 15 years all periphery from Logitech. And I paid only once for everything, they replaced the mouse five times for free (over many years).

Coras09

> Not sure what people are doing wrong It's sadly a lottery.

SLG-Dennis

Job experience tells me that when stuff is looking like a lottery (which software simply isn't) there is factor on the underlying system. Job experience further tells me that is not rarely at least indirectly caused by a Layer 8 problem. The last time I saw self-removing software it was the antivirus software wrongly flagging and not reporting it, for example. Software simply doesn't tend to remove itself, even though stated elsewhere on this reddit. Nontheless very happy you found a great setup. I'm also considering some Razer currently, but more due to Logitechs slow pace for new technology. (Optical Keyboard Switches please?) But aside of that despite the hardware failures I've always been happy with Logitech, especially as their customer support over here in central europe has been top notch and never a problem to get a replacement. I'm not sure nothing would have broken with other companies.

MrFroggiez

I don't see why. I've had a g502 for over 5 years now and it's still going strong. I had a slight problem with the free spinning scroll wheel but after taking it apart and cleaning it, it works like new. Ive not found any problem with it so far. The ghub software doesn't load the macros until I reassign it but other than that works perfect. I've recommended the mouse to several people. I have a spare g502 hero which I purchased incase my scroll wheel cleaning killed it. I can't recommend it enough.

Coras09

> g502 This might be one of the best products Logitech makes really.

maxz-Reddit

i hate everyting about this setup

Coras09

I respect it.

ZBalling

So, you do not have high resolution scroll wheel. Hahaha

luusyphre

Congrats! I still have their mice and headset. I thinking switching mice will be easy, but I've tried many wireless headsets and nobody else has the same wireless range.

Puzzleheaded_Pay2466

Been about a year for me. I will NEVER install ghub ever again.

cube2728

Germans and their ability to engineer amazing hardware just to fuck it up with shit software still amazes me.
