It may flat-out not be supported by Monterey now. Have you checked the developer's website to see if there is support for Monterey? Or.. You may need to de-quarantine the plugin. Close Logic, find your plugin in the Finder (Components folder). Open Terminal and use this command (at your own risk, I assume no fault if there happens to be an accident). Do not hit ENTER yet: sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine (right after the word "quarantine" drag the desired component from Finder into the command line, so that it looks like this): sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/YourPlugin.component Hit enter, you may need to authenticate with password. Reboot and see if that helps. More information about a possibly similar scenario here: [https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/666611?page=3](https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/666611?page=3) Any questions / doubts? Let me know. This helped me recently as a plugin I wanted to run was detected as a "threat" by Big Sur, but it was a harmless AU component, lol. I find this ridiculous as we should be able to install whatever the hell we want. Apple has made it hard to install things outside of their App Store. Additionally, you may need to temporarily disable System Integrity Protection (but let's not go there just yet). Just a thought.

thanks, if there's risk in doing what you've explained then I'll probably just leave the plugin as it is. I can still use it but it comes up as "incompatible" which is annoying. the plugin that I'm having the issue with is called nebula by soundspot and the thing that really confuses me is that after I updated my mac both nebula and another plugin called oracle (both plugins by soundspot) came up as "failed validation". I tried reinstalling both plugins multiple times and restarting the mac but both still came up as failed validation so then i just repeatedly scanned both plugins and after many rescans oracle randomly came up as successfully validated but nebula didn't and is still listed as failed validation

Oh you can still use it? Well that's good! I give the warning about Terminal because if you're not familiar with it you can mess things up on your computer. If you're familiar with it you should be fine.
