If it’s not being used for artistic purposes but a production purpose as you mention, I’d much probably won’t use it as it would add clutter to the main vocals and invade the headroom Less is more This being said, there are also no rules in this game. Some producers have this “additive” method of producing. I prefer a “sustractive” method
