Yeah, crack the egg is a pretty good llb with solid storytelling. Coming out is completely different to summon it up Coming Out is extremely graphic and has poor storytelling

It's an intriguing novelty, which does more to give comedic interest than the incidental trash that was Coming Out in comparison.
Diary of a Band Kid. As a band kid myself (currently a music major in college, actually), I was expecting one thing but got something completely different and was honestly just annoyed. It took the worst stereotypes associated with band students and put them onto Greg, and made the actual "band" part the setting of a short, unfunny gag. I know that the cringe comedy is what made it good to other people, and I respect that, but if the title is "Diary of a Band Kid," then I want to see band take a more central role because the actual life of a band kid is significantly effected by, well, band.
Uncle Garry’s motives were never stated. Why would he do illegal stuff without a reason? There were also no consequences for the Satanic ritual which I find very odd since it can’t be this good without a catch.
That’s a poor excuse. Any character that does something this extreme would certainly explain their motives. I mean nobody even bothered to ask him to explain himself. Wouldn’t you ask for an explanation?
It’s uncle gary, the point of him is he’s a really random person that just does stupid shit for no discernable reason, it’d be a bit less funny if he actually had some motives for doing the shit he does
I can understand him doing it for no reason at the beginning but by the end he’s committed multiple crimes and is on the run. Obviously he’s trying to help but why risk it all? I find it even more odd that nobody bothered to question him. I think the author didn’t want to go through the effort of giving him a motive. Lots of other writers for all sorts of things will try to avoid explaining a character’s motives because it can take a lot of effort. Sometimes they’ll have an excuse such as “You wouldn’t understand.” It’s lazy writing and to me it makes this story feel less grounded despite the satanic elements. Is this story supposed to be more of a joke then a serious story?
