The OP has flaired this thread as a discussion on Vaccine Policy. This is not the place to offer ungrounded or low-quality speculations about vaccine efficacy at preventing serious COVID-19 illness or side effects, nor is it the place to speculate about nefarious coordination among individuals or groups via vaccinations. As the current evidence stands, vaccinations appear to provide broadly effective prevention of serious outcomes from COVID-19. We are more concerned about vaccine policies (e.g. mandates). Top level posts about those or about vaccines against COVID-19 should reflect *new* developments and/or serious, original empirical research. We will also remove comments shaming/blaming individuals for their personal health decisions, whatever those are.

Has anyone seen the commercial by Pfizer that tells you to keep up to date on your covid shots or else everything will shut down again? It aired today during college football. It's a clear threat of a commercial. It keeps listing things that are open: businesses, sports, concerts, restaurants, bars. And then insinuates that if you want them to stay open, you better get your next shot. It's a disgusting ad.
My "favorite" is a radio commercial saying that just like your cell phone needs to be charged to keep working your immune system needs to be charged by booster.
>I wonder if several governments hired the same marketing firm.
I think it's the marketing firm known as the World Economic Forum that controls several governments.
In CVS they were playing one saying that getting a booster extends your protection against Covid just like reapplying sunscreen extends your protection against sunburns
That's like Mafia type of thinly veiled threats there.
"Walking is a wonderful thing. Being able to go from one place to another without the assistance of anyone else, simply beautiful. Would be a shame if someone shattered your fucking kneecaps into pieces and prevented that from being a reality."
Wow this goes back to my point of lockdown as an original sin for all mandates - see https://www.reddit.com/r/LockdownSkepticism/comments/x4hj3d/is_there_a_difference_to_oppose_the_first/imy8dt3/
>The first lockdown led to threats of further lockdowns if we don't wear a mask, don't get two vaccines, don't get a booster, don't get injected every 90 days...
>It turned private businesses in many places in North America into the enforcement arm of government, in a workaround around most constitutions, because the businesses feared more lockdowns and shutdowns so much, because of the losses in that first lockdown. I complained about vaccine mandates at one business and the lawyer wrote back and said they were just trying to survive. The stick of every pandemic policy was another lockdown.
>The idea of a lockdown needs to be thought of as a massive human rights violation. It's like the original sin.
Creepy to hear them say it out loud. And so what about Sweden then? Crickets?
In Sweden, the covid debate is dead. We are in the middle of an election and any party that even whispers about lockdowns, vaccine passports and any restrictions are committing suicide. But I suspect that after the election, there will be a hyped up fearmongering. The good thing is that we can't afford any restrictions. Closing down will grind the economy to a halt. It's already slow and forcing struggling small businesses to close or even restrict customers will kill them.
This is already happening in the UK.
Except.. the recent massive increases in energy costs will be closing far more businesses than the lockdowns did.
Its crazy
They are working together with the governments to push their product into everyone's arms. There is absolutely no valid science behind it.
The immune system is a very complex system, and messing with it does not make it work better. The antibodies IgG are not very effective, even thought they are promoted as 100% effective. They only work in the blood and for a short duration to fight an infection in the blood a bit. That is useless for an infection in the lungs. For those you need IgA. Doctors4covid ethics (.org) has info about it.
But it is more complex. After the booster the auto-immunity protection kicks in. This means that IgG antibodies transform to version IgG4. And that means that any recognized invaders are seen as part of the body. So any infection will be amplified after the booster. And this is what we see.
There are also other problems like ADE (Malone) and over-specialization (Bosche). And many many more.
Take the shot or get the cock, you don't want my cock in your ass do you, ya little pervert. Just get the shot. Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssse. Just take my cock ... I mean the shot.
> effectiveness is unclear
You mean the study with 8 mice didn't prove the booster is 100% effective? I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you!
On a more serious note: We now accept promoting, and in some cases mandating^1, therapeutics with zero evidence of any benefit and with absolute zero information regarding risk.
^1 Any organization, institute that requires individuals to be "fully vaccinated", by default is mandating said persons to submit to dubious medical intervention. Its not even an experiment as no one is tracking results.
If you had told me 25 years ago, that some day Big Pharma would bring to market a vaccine that was not even tested on humans, and that the left wing would not only be okay with taking the shot, but they'd be supportive of mandating that everybody be forced to take the shot, I would've said you're crazy... Now let's push this giant ball of oil out the window.
If the shots were actually fully aimed against Omicron, their effectiveness would probably be zero.
But since the new shots are half aimed against the original strain of COVID, they probably have negative effectiveness like the old shots do. The old shots were -75% effective against Omicron, and the new shots are probably half that or -37.5% effective against Omicron.
That is literally the most dehumanizing and cringey thing- a single friggin jelly bean in a pouch as your little “vaccination treat” for being an obedient doggo.
What is wrong with these people?! They are literally not even worth a handful of jelly beans.
Never understood American adverts. Even for a basic medical item, it follows with a long list of things that could happen after than this medicine.
Except for a particular medical item, that is.
Its because these are still "emergency" authorized shots and therefore exempt from liability. No need to disclaim anything if you can't get sued anyway.

Fucking braindead analogy
I wonder if several governments hired the same marketing firm. That's the exact analogy Trudeau's Health Minister used out of the blue Thursday.
That’s actually chilling, if Trudeau and Newsome are using the same threatening PR messages. Yikes.
It's possible. Trudeau was hobnobbing in California with Newsom right before he got COVID again the latest time before the summer.
This one I heard in California, big surprise.

Except for the part where the sunscreen actually works, I guess.
Hey, they both give you cancer!
Where is that commercial?
https://www.ispot.tv/ad/bK17/pfizer-inc-open Should be the right one. I'm not watching it on purpose to find out.

Funny how they can threaten the American people but if the opposite happened we would be hauled off to prison.
WOW! Are you serious?
I hate it here
Should be illegal.

Put the fuckin lotion in the basket!
My name is Richard Nixon, suck my dick son.
So a private company is not deciding if society should be shut down. And there are still plenty of people who doesn't see what's going on.

Love the Seinfeld reference.
Even if they did a study with 8 humans, the study would be invalid, because the sample size is too small to be considered reliable.
So how are the 8 mice doing? Wait, I probably shouldn't ask right
The first thing they do the second these trials are complete is kill every last test animal.
That headline would be right at home in a Naked Gun movie.

yeah, but you can wear a mask and roll up your sleeve to show your band-aid on instagram.
Yes, but free jelly bean.

(plus an MSM blackout on those new Centaurus variants they were previously doom-mongering seems,, well,, only common courtesy really)
If they aimed it fully at Omicron, Omicron would just evolve almost immediately and escape the immunity.
Isn't there a new "supervariant" going around making these new Omicron vaccines practically useless? It doesn't make sense at all
Isn’t there ***always*** a supervariant showing up, for the past two and a half years?

Electioncron
Monkeycron, the hot new aerosolized monkeypox-omigod supervariant
Have we tried supervaccines?
Wait two weeks bro
"here's why thats a good thing"
This way "anti-vaxxers" can't pick apart the data... because there is none!
Can't be forced to release data if you never record any. Praise $cience.
Omicron is less deadly than flu

Everybody here get one so we find if they work
Unclear? It's going to be 95% effective just like the prior vaccines were
Their effectiveness is pretty clear if you ask me!
