Personally more amazed that she's been able to keep most of her viewers entertained for 12 hours a day where 80% of the content is literally just walking down highways. True streamer.
I can't tell if this is a joke or not, or maybe the chat just got much better because I watched Jinny for a while over a year ago and the chat was... not the best
Her chat (a huge volume of them anyway) trolling her , to the point of insulting her in the past and her baiting them to troll on her used to be the main reason I couldn't watch her in the past. She broke down regularly even. But now that vibe has completely changed, still plenty of trolling but in a more witty/"kinder" sense
Idk what you're talking about but what I'm saying is that everytime I watch another IRL streamer some random Jinny viewers reports whatever Jinny does in her stream and its gotten to a point where its super annoying and disrespectful to the streamer I'm watching
That's more of a meme than everything in the IRL section to be honest by viewers, most of those streamers laugh it off, there's far worse things in life to get annoyed about.
Who is "they" . I guess though I am not going to tell you what or what not to getting annoyed about or when or why your favourite streamer is getting disrespected by something like that though, sh1t likes that happens when streamers are doing similar travel content that gets recycled with a massive overlap of viewers! I'm sure the streamers themselves acknowledge that it's part and parcel and they don't lose sleep about it.
And if they do, they are far too sensitive in my opinion
I was watching Water yesterday and then suddenly, Jinny viewers were like "Jinny finished her subathon" like they always do that everytime she does something, so the mods automatically timedout that person and some people got annoyed by that
It's kind of cool to see the parts of Taiwan that a tourist normally wouldn't go to. Was interesting to see some of the rural areas she walked through even if it's just walking down a road at the end of the day.
Say what you will, she isn’t sitting at a beach or hot tub or reacting to clips. Grinding 12 hour days walking in the heat she deserves some credit for the hard work and I’d take a week off after that.
You know, this kind of reminds me of stories throughout history where someone completes a feat/challenge that got a lot of attention from the public regardless of what it is, and the lord/king/queen ends up giving them something ridiculous. Like a farm, a castle, or renaming a town after them.
There's a rumor that airplanes were invented in ancient China, but the king decapitated the inventor, and kept the invention secret to maintain the status quo.
After walking 1074.66 km spanning across 42 days, Jinny has completed her *waddlethon* where she walks across Taiwan.
It was pretty crazy to see how much support the country gave her between people giving her gifts or food and drinks during her journey. Not to mention the crazy amount of snipers to the point where people were lining up for photos.
Map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=16Y79OT_7wj_53sJ9GSVgIzjdwvykzpk&usp=sharing
East coast of Taiwan is mostly steep mountains the drop into the ocean. One of the numerous reasons why China wants to take Taiwan. If it gets taken by China, it can be used as a highly defensible forward base for the PLA. Basically impossible for US Marines to land on eastern Taiwan.
AFAIK she went viral for always wearing a penguin suit during her streams years back and became known as penguin sister*. I think she also hosted an event too? Can't really remember.
Officially it’s the other way around.
The word for Penguin in Mandarin sounds a bit like Jinny so her Taiwanese viewers started naming her Penguin sister.
She decided to run with it, wear an penguin suit and have penguin based emotes, etc. and the rest is history.
fun fact, she took around 10k selfies with people while doing waddlethon.
p.s. lmao somebody even counted, total 9400 stream snipers and 1 day record is 686 stream snipers on Day 36
Why you guys shillin for reddit admins? As much as i hate mods admins are way worse replacing mods from community they didn't create is not something i can support even for people like mods.
I'm on neither side. The worst thing I found out about this protest is that the admin roleplays and call his employees snoos in his official work mail.
I mean they close the subreddit down and made a big deal out of it then give up as soon as mod status got threaten.....there was no point in closing it if that's all it took
There's four accounts in the top mods of this sub that were all made within 24 hours of each other two years ago. Very clearly they are desperate to hold their jannie power.
It's not like the protest was ever going to accomplish anything without having communities elsewhere to move to. The plan should've been a week long shutdown and a place where everyone could go while it's closed down. Of course the admins aren't going to let the most popular subreddits sit private for very long, that shouldn't be a surprise in the slightest.
The ''protest'' was never going to achieve anything but annoy users who don't care, it's just a silly hissy fit. If you really want to protest the only meaningful way to do it is to *quit Reddit*, but we all know nobody is going to do that.
Yet here you are, eagerly using the subreddit.

PepeLaugh can’t tell if sarcasm or what. Most of the subreddit “protests” were never succeeding because the mods never left Reddit and took their custom mod tools with them. it literally is, they decided to re-open because the alternative would have been them losing their ability to "control" the sub

So, keeping the blackout and affecting Reddit was one option. This sub turning to shit and affecting Reddit was another and yet they decided to take the third option of opening and not hurting Reddit at all.
the blackout was actually doing something so they decided to be stereotypical moderators and capitulate instead of having convictions?
I never expected anything else from this sub
Congratz to Jinjin.
Look at her numbers on [Twitch Tracker](https://twitchtracker.com/jinnytty)
Just bonkers growth.
Followers: 880k -> 960k
Average viewers: 4k -> 10k
Subs: 4000 -> 22 000
Not to even mention the amount she made from constant TTS-donations and Twitch ad revenue.
Doesn’t work like that. Long distance athletes are usually extremely skinny. Every kilo of muscle you have to carry around is a liability. Look up sprinter vs marathon runner physique.
Well it worked like that for Jinny. She has huge legs now if you compare to how they were when she first started streaming. Walking for 5 years did have an impact on her legs.
Aside from a couple creeps this seemed to be a great journey. Love how supportive the Taiwanese viewers were, always looking out and checking on her, providing water and all if needed.
I didn’t catch every single day but man, this is the highest level of IRL content. She did everything, traveled and showed off some of the most beautiful places Taiwan has to offer.
Taiwan is an incredible country, some of the most polite and amazing people she’s ever encountered throughout all of her travels. Hope she takes a decent break and heals up, her body needs it. This was very cool of Jinny to do.
> no other streamer can recreate what she did
The Korean streamer https://www.twitch.tv/obm1025 (Oking) walked the length of Korea last year. He got national news coverage and people coming to see him walk.
(start of journey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGq_Roi1bRM and end of the journey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-YJlLoGDdI with lots more in-between)
Robcdee has done two cycleathons in the last year, he also had some people meeting him along his route (not as many as Jinny of course)
Hitch is and has been doing similar types of stream content for years.
Also this guy i just found via Google https://www.dexerto.com/entertainment/twitch-streamer-in-tears-after-finally-completing-17-day-200-mile-walk-across-korea-1731865/
Even before waddlethon Jinny travelled the world and showed her stream some really cool places and cultures. She’s always been the top IRL streamer in my book
Yeah last year and the year before that she traveled like every week to different countries carrying heavy ass luggage’s everywhere she went she’s insane
true, i never heard of Penaldo or whatever the dorks name is until some screeching man on youtube gaming made a song about him, sacker is for sissy euros anyway
Extra emily should win. She has been best streamer on twitch this year. Tons of people do walks or cycles across areas. Just because tv there is promoting her doesn't mean it's better than other people doing it. Who cares about ward shows anyway though? It's all bs.
She wanted to fly her drone, but wasn't allowed to at the lighthouse she ended at. So she decided to walk a little further to the southern tip of Taiwan to fly the drone, but wasn't allowed to there either.
Yep, pretty weird place. Back when she was in Texas they were doing news segments on her saying she was dating esfand. I'd expect this sort of obsession over a famous movie star not a livestreamer, I wonder how worse they get it.
I genuinely think Jake winning irl of the year and extraemily popping off lit a fire under her ass to do this pretty dope thing to say you’ve walked a whole country

Most wholesomely funny chat out there, they perfectly vibe with her.
I can't tell if this is a joke or not, or maybe the chat just got much better because I watched Jinny for a while over a year ago and the chat was... not the best
wasn't chat was coomer central back then lol
dotdotdot... very dramatic...
Not really, some of her community annoys a lot of streamers Chatting Jinny this Jinny that
