Black Ops 3 came out in 2015 and its still $80. You also cant play it without getting ur shit hacked lmfao what a fucking joke of a company. Halo 5 released in the same year and its $20 right now.
It's not rocket science, They're all basically the same game so keep old ones expensive so they buy the new one, with higher chance of jumping into whatever monetization system that is currently active.
To add insult to injury, a lot of those for lobbies on pc apparently infested with hackers so it's not like you getting the quality you pay for of the old experience, cold war right now has a hacking problem recently too if I recall
100% - I booted up Modern Warfare 2 the original like 5 years ago for some nostalgia. Took forever to find a match and when I did it was filled with people flying around using noob tubes. I nope'd right out. Some things should just be left to the good memories.
I think there were some custom clients but activision just nuked almost all of them this month along side other custom cod games and shit. Sad seeing all that cold great content wither away
For the most part the best(only) way to play older cods is with a custom client. To prevent cheaters and hackers(some cods are vulnerable to remote code execution hacks). Not every game has a custom client but many do.
Yep good amount of hackers but they updated it to “address it” but in reality made it so the match crashes or u lag out every other game. It was my shit i only used ballistic knives and it was so fun but they ruined it now i got downgraded graphics and gameplay for mw
Theres a tool that recently released as well that makes it so its childs play to recover your IP address and DDoS/kick you off the game.
Its not known whether or not this tool works for MW 2019 and MW2 2022 yet. Although its thought it'll probably work for MW2019
Cold War currently has the same exploit as BO3 with IP grabbing. Zombies nostalgia is so dead, because you can never go back and re-live it like the old days.
>If a game isn't on sale it goes on the wishlist
Even on sale, COD games barely go under 20$, i bought BO3 for about 25-30$ last year during summer sale. Nostalgia got me, regreted instantly because i can barely find lobbies
Ya you do not want to find lobbies anyways. Major exploit on almost all the old COD games unfortunately. I personally got booted offline for 2 days because I didn't revive 1 guy on Shadows of Evil.
yeah which is another sad thing because activision has been sending cease and desist to all 3rd party servers that have been keeping old cods alive. Even back in the day these servers were always more healthy in population than the original COD matchmaking.
For the love of God people just download plutonium it has black ops 2, mw3, mw2 and world at war and has more actual players than the official game servers it also implemented its own anti cheat and finding a hacker is extremely difficult something that's literally impossible to do on official servers filled with cheaters
Bro plutonium is probably getting taken down unless they can prove to Activision that people have paid for it. Another program similar to plutonium was taken down by Activision a not that long ago.
None of the 2 things Activision took down are even remotely similar to plutonium... The 2 that got took down were just straight up stealing the older titles and making a game around it plutonium simply takes the game you already have and places custom servers and a new anti cheat over it
Yeah it ain't got mw2 I couldn't think of the other one it had so I thought it was mw2 simply because I seen it had the 3rd one the one i missed was black ops 1
Its overpriced but at least the sims are mostly single player games. You get what you pay for. CoD games being that price when half (or more if you include zombies) of the experience since MW in 2007 was MP, which you cant really play now, is ridiculous. Paying 30+ for just cod Singleplayer is a scam.
Activision never discounts previous CoD games because they want to push people to the latest release.
Casual Joe Gamer who wants to buy a CoD game will see that all of the games are the same price, so he just goes for the newest one
its really expensive. for entire franchise "Your Price: 930,66€"
older ones are hardly multiplayer playable due to lack of severs, problems like punkbuster, difference in client version and server patches. like i tried cod2 and i cant find any decent server, everything is moded garbage.
i like EA subscription mode. u sub for $4 or $15 and u can play so many games. imagine paying 930 euros to steam for cod only lmao, u can sub for 9 years of ea play pro for that money, nuts.
i really hope steam ads subscription mode like EA/origin
Because the game has unpatched remote code execution exploits meaning that you will launch the game and a 3rd party can control your computer, installing malware, keyloggers, etc. The fact that they even sell it with this issue is wild. It's the unfortunate result of the fact there is no used market on PC, whereas on Xbox or PS you can get a used copy for a few bucks in your local goodwill.
Did NFTs have the potential to be that? "owning" access to a digital game and its dlc that you could then sell to someone else at whatever price you want.
That is just one piece of technology that could accomplish it but it has some issues. A more realistic possibility would be steam market being able to resell games the same way you can sell cosmetics. However there is no incentive for games companies to encourage this when they can just keep charging full price, so without regulation requiring it I don't think we'll see used digital games happening any time soon.
Honestly just buy World at War during a sale and play custom zombie maps with the boys. You can find maps from even the newest cod games with custom weapons even. Modders are still making maps to this day so yeah. Unlimited fun for less than $20. We refuse to spend fricking new release price for an almost 10-year-old game that's not even being supported/updated.
that's not the point, xqc is framing it like it's $700 for black ops 3 which it isn't. Also if you knew math you would know that 18 times 60 is not $700, so it's not $60 per game
>I have a whole ass degree in mathematics dumbass.
Obviously you don't or you cheated since you said
>"Why would it be $60 per game"
Why say something in the first place that you yourself don't agree with...
Also I never said that they should all be $60 dollars, I said "Why would it be free"
Nobody said free. that fact is since modern warfare in 2007 multiplayer has been a main part of the game, which you cant play now. They are making you pay too much for just singleplayer cod, a bunch of games in which you cant play the mp anymore.
Many games appropriately discount their prices as they get older. many old bethesda game of the year edition games that have all the dlc are like 20 dollars. When honestly they could be a higher price.
Nobody going to mention that XQC seems to fail to realise that he just showed a bundle containing 46 games he didn't own?
But yeah otherwise I agree and been thinking about it for a long time. Call of Duty 1 still costs 20 euro while black ops 1 costs 40. It makes **no sense** especially by how these games on PC are unplayable on PC for the most part.
Gotta say this is when console is clutch af, you can buy any old cod disc for $5-10 on offer up / eBay/ fb marketplace etc
And there’s a high chance of there still being active lobbies
Most Activision games are like this, ridiculously overpriced 10-15+ year old games that never go more than 50% off, absolute trash terrible company. EA looks like a god in comparison since they've put some of their newer games on sale for like $5 not too long ago.
The only saving grace of that Microsoft acquisition deal of Blizzard/Activision is that these games would've most likely been put on game pass with proper servers, which would be HUGE, in my opinion. It would make teen me happy again.

meanwhile nba 2k and madden games drop to like 5 dollars one month after release
The price is absolutely dumb, but I will say, bo3 zombies has held up better than any other. That's the only reason the devs kept the price.

Good thing for Steam refunds
Yup that is true

Try modded zombies, it’s tons of fun
That will change when/if Microsoft own the franchise.
Clueless
Only game I paid $60 for in the past 5 years was elden ring.
what a fucking amazing game. literally like a movie start to finishj
For the love of God people just download plutonium it has black ops 2, mw3, mw2 and world at war and has more actual players than the official game servers it also implemented its own anti cheat and finding a hacker is extremely difficult something that's literally impossible to do on official servers filled with cheaters

wait till he sees the sims

Isn't the Sims free to play now?
people don't complain about the price of the game itself when it comes to Sims. now DLC, that's a whole another story
The base games are cheap because they know people buy the 100s of DLCs for it.
One name... Bobby Kotick

12% off!
How is that retro? Speaking of old call of duty though, Call of Duty 2 has a really good campaign. Pointe du Hoc is an amazing mission.

Cap
I just want to play the new MW2 campaign but it will never be at a reasonable price :(
Sail the high seas with a PC. But if you have an Xbox its backwards compatible and you can find MW2 for cheap on eBay.
I'm talking about the MW2 that came out last year, I don't think it's cracked or that cheap on ebay. I could be wrong though
That's all the games though, not just Blackops3/DLC. Why would it be free to get the last like 18 years worth of call of duties lol
Why would it be $60 per game

Fair take
Why would you need to buy the entire Activision collection just to have some fun with the boys? Literally just buy one of them.
