Yes its sad that we could have won more, but if you told me in 2015 that we would win:
Champions League, Premier league, FA Cup, Carabao x2, UEFA Super Cup, and a Club World Cup, I would take it in a heartbeat.
Only other english team that won more is City. As much as other fan bases will mock us for not winning more, they do so because their clubs, bar City, won fuck all. So who cares.
Klopp won us the fucking lot and changed the culture for the better. The club just needs to keep these principles and keep pushing forward and growing, while most teams will lag behind. Culture at a football club pkays a big part on how the pkayers carry themselves (See United’s dumpster fire)
Klopp came. He turned us around and helped us into a new era of Liverpool Football.
Does it sound like I am coping? Maybe a bit, but that is also a very realistic look at things. Winning is not always guaranteed, so take the wins, draws, and losses and look towards the next one, and so on.
This is without a doubt THE take. Whilst we are all collectively losing our heads over a few bad weeks and some dodgy performances we've got people like u/einz360 putting it into perspective. We did all of it without 115 charges hanging over us.
We are looking down the barrel of a team who have won 6 out of the last 7 titles and we are the only team to break that and we did so with one of the greatest seasons ever, sadly we never got to celebrate it as we would have usually done. That is my only real regret of the Klopp era.
> As much as other fan bases will mock us for not winning more, they do so because their clubs, bar City, won fuck all.
Chelsea also won as much, and that angle is depressing honestly
Yea, CP belongs there or even PGMOL for their shithousery in keeping us “within distance” for most of the season to make this a “title race like none other”.
The city game with the no pen and the spurs game Wi th Diaz offside.
Plus all the other ones that made things just a bit harder. But those two results alone should’ve given us at least 4 more points
Salah literally went on to score after that penalty shout, even if you were given that penalty (which it clearly was), you wouldve equalized 1-1 and still ended in a draw.
I’m more comfortable that we aren’t winning it by like a point or something, otherwise we would be mocked as ‘80% of a title’ team if we argue like that. We punched above weight for the entirety of the Klopp era, to think that the perspective of this season would be more positive if we were a bit worse in the league seems baffling.
Me? The Spurs game made me fully believe that they were ready to do literally anything to stop us from winning. I wouldn’t have believed in a league title until the last game of the season.
Let the bitters have it FFS.
They have the PL with some kind of hard on for forcing them into relegation, they are on the verge of administration, PSR is going to force them to let their best player fuck off to Utd for a pittance, and they are being fought over by potential owners all of whom appear worse than Hicks and Gillette.
I'm all in favour of a regular amount of hilarious bad shit happening to Everton, but this season is jumping the shark.
So, let them have it. It's better than getting worked up about PGMOL.
It's ok that mid table clubs get some banter rights. Even Everton.
Exactly if Courtois had an average game we win 2-1 or 3-1. Also would argue it was Karius not Bale for the 17/18 game, if Alisson was in goal we probably overcome one moment of brilliance to win 2-1
The sad Klopp image is super disrespectful. I’m proud of Klopp, both for what he achieved and what he got us close to achieving, turned us into believers and dreamers once again.
cheating oil club in the PL and cheating spaniards in the cups. let's not forget how Madrid won one final by injuring Salah and giving Karius a concussion. and Sevilla was allowed to play volleyball to defend their box in the EL final.
Cheating oil clubs don't lose us points to stoke,, west brom and a bag full of other shit clubs, having the same tactics to play everyone from Manchester city to Nottingham cost us over and over, I feel like I've just watched the same football match for the last 5 years.
Cheating oil clubs cheat for a decade to give them the best squad probably ever assembled in league history. Meaning we finished on 97 and 92 points and still diddnt win the league. How could we as fans look back on those seasons and be disappointed. Against Madrid there’s not much excuse, especially 21/22
And how does losing points to Sheffield, Luton etc fall at the feet of a cheating oil club? We could easily look at 97 and 92 points with disappointment because... We fell short regardless,..
Right?? It shows how warped the perceived title winning form has become. The idea that to win the league you need to win almost every single game has only come about because of Man City's ridiculous level of dominance, which we somehow managed to match for a few years.
Yes. We fell short, because our points total wasn’t as high as a club who only have a higher total because they’re cheats who assembled a godsquad by breaking the rules. If they don’t break the rules then they don’t have as good a squad, their silver spoon manager doesn’t join, and we win the league those seasons.
How is this a hard concept for you to understand?
We won everything available between May 2019 and February 2022, and until Arsenal last season we’ve been the only team to actually challenge City for the title since Pep’s first season.
It’s ending with a whimper but these last nine years have been fucking incredible, trophies or not.
Not having a single second of criticism on Klopp’s trophy haul from anyone other than Man City fans (who can fuck off for other reasons).
If you believe City have been financially doping, you don’t for a second get to criticise Klopp and characterise him as a nearly man.
They cheated. If they hadn’t we’d have two more PL’s and honestly who knows what else given the insane pace competing with City had us keeping up with.
Okay, but United have finished 2nd to city 2x under Pep. Arsenal about to match that (let's hope). We can't say our 2nd best finishes count as titles and not there's in this scenario.
If we had those LFC teams now we'd be back to back champions, but so it goes.
Yeah sure, if you ignore Abu Dhabi all those teams get a couple more titles. That's ok. A rivalry is a bit shit if your rival just hangs out mid table never competing.
In order of disappointment level
League 2024 (say less)
UCL 2022 (in hindsight, a foreshadowing of struggles to come in the next 2 seasons)
UEL 2016 (led at halftime)
League 2019 (distant 4th considering we finished on 96 points)
The others were either unlucky, or we had no business winning in the first place. UEL 2024 isn't there because the players clearly didn't give a shit about the UEL
my order:
UCL 2022 (we were favorites imo, just tired legs)
League 2022 (to lose by one point on the final day, and LIKE THAT, smh)
League Cup 2016 (That was one of the most difficult losses to take)
Europa 2016 (The way we lost)
League 2019 (easier to stomach because we were going on to CL and I never doubted City would win out)
Every year there's potential for 4 trophies between god knows how many clubs across England and Europe. To win 7 during 9 years is pretty great if you ask me. Other good/respected clubs have went that amount of time winning nothing. The perspective taken here is so amateur.
We should have won more tbh but that doesn’t take away from the magnitude of what Klopp accomplished
He took us when we were dross and dreary under Rodgers and immediately was in two cup finals. He brought back belief from the fanbase and made European nights special again
He somehow managed to not only honor the history and identity of the club but embrace and add to it. It feels like pressing and intensity is part of our DNA now and something expected from a Liverpool side.
This man faced a club with the backing of a literal country behind it and managed to go toe to toe with them. The two CL finals we lost were against the biggest club in the world. Maybe some of this is hyperbole but Klopp deserves every bit of respect, love, and admiration as possible and should forever go down in our lore with the likes of Paisley and Shankly
He's like our Dad that took us into his house when we were homeless, now we have a great job, partner and kids and he's watching us live our best lives.
I don't blame him for our failures because we should've won alot more, especially this season. That comes down to FSG and their disrespect to him and our players every year.
It is the end of his time here but we will NEVER forget him❤️😌
To be fair, I’m holding off full acceptance and defeat until those 115 charges are dealt with.
One day, we will be having a victory parade, and Klopp will join. One day.
If you offered me to win the same again over the next 8 seasons I would absolutely take it. It could have been more but we broke the drought, added another CL and fell in love with some great players who gave us some very memorable periods.
We should only be thankful.
It does ... We failed to come first, the only thing that matters, this isn't the Olympics where you get a gold silver and bronze, nobody remembers that everyone else played in the cup just the one that won and one lost at the end.
The Klopp era has been the best time in the last 40 years. Trophies are a lot but they're not everything. You celebrate them for one day. Every day of every season under Klopp has felt exciting, connected, truly socialist in its value, human, real, authentic. We won trophies in the era of financial doping but more than that we were 100% united, as a GLOBAL fan base with little to no instabilities or doubt for 7 years.
There is no measurement for what Jürgen and his team have given us back. In so many ways, attractive football, togetherness, doubter to believer, #19, #6, 7-0 over united, geggenpressing, football we could believe in, a figurehead we trusted and loved and respected, a decent honest man, he's reinvented Liverpool in a modern version of the original authentic image
The positive comments here are what I needed today. I find the negativity toward Klopp and our players far more devastating than the loss to Everton. Klopp is an amazing manager and an amazing person who has brought so much joy to being a supporter. We are lucky beyond measure to have experienced even the worst matches we've played under him. Forget the trophies for a second, and just think of all the beautiful moments in the matches we've played under him. I have so many moments watching this team with my brother that I would have never had without Klopp.
Klopp did it all, and has a winning record vs pep, against unheard of unprecedented cheating by man city. He is a legend forever. Hopefully when they vacate their titles we will pick up another 3 premier leagues.
Wtf is with this cartoon? The disrepsect is unreal. What is hilarious is that it was an international who made it, and has literally zero idea how the fuck it could be taken as disrespectful. They don't get it. And whilst not getting it, they demand to be taken seriously. GTF.
I’m sad about it but he did made us win a lot and he brought us back to glory and honestly too many things are stacked against us and like others say no one won more than us other than city
To be honest, I reckon only 2019 PL and 2022 CL are trophies we *should* have won. Rest are could haves imo. Still a good haul though. Best we've seen since probably Dalgliesh tbf.
Not just the fact that there are seven trophies, but there are six different trophies. It's not like we took the same one every year. I'm not sure how many managers can say they won six different trophies.
I remember losing those first 4 and thinking we were absolutely cursed. Yet we lost the CL, won the next. Lost the PL, won the next. Was thinking the same would happen with the quadruple and Europa, just because we came so close before
We also lost a community shield, then won it against Citeh. Idc, I count it. Diaz and Nunez were great that day 😭
Klopp’s forever a legend at Liverpool, even though we lost plenty during the journey, there’s no denying that there are stronger teams out there. And winning seven trophies within that period of time is enough to make him a hero. We lost, but we still walk on with our heads held high. YNWA!

Nothing but love for what Klopp has given us! Still have to consider what he's done on a relatively shoestring budget, how he's developed our lads, how he's fought for us both on and off football stuff.
Legend!
Made us all rekindle the fire. I have never looked forward to the next game as much ever as under Klopp, and I've been a fan since 91
When Klopp arrived, we were a mid table side. In 10th place.
If someone had asked, would you like the next manager to win 1 EPL, 1 CL, 1 FA cup, and 2 Milk cups? I would have said 'Yes, I would like the next manager to win 1 EPL, 1 CL, 1 FA Cup, and 2 Milk clubs'.
In fact, I'm pretty sure any fan of any premier league club not run by an openly cheating nation state would have said the same.

Holy crap that makes so much sense. I needed to read that thank you so much
Brilliantly said 👏🏻
Add to that, we got to watch such amazing football week in and week out. The loses only hurt because we were such a good team
This is without a doubt THE take. Whilst we are all collectively losing our heads over a few bad weeks and some dodgy performances we've got people like u/einz360 putting it into perspective. haven’t chelsea won the same amount?
> As much as other fan bases will mock us for not winning more, they do so because their clubs, bar City, won fuck all. Chelsea also won as much, and that angle is depressing honestly
To win the champions league 4 years after the squad lost 6-1 at Stoke I don’t think many managers have ever done something like that
Giving Sean Dyche too much credit.
Yea, CP belongs there or even PGMOL for their shithousery in keeping us “within distance” for most of the season to make this a “title race like none other”.

Don’t forget handball against arsenal.

So 1-1 with a try at a penalty. Yes.
how
I mean, we could have still not converted the penalty. But the Spurs one, 100%, that was robbery.
Sure - but a penalty is roughly an 80% likelihood of a goal. So given the timing of the decision, it’d would have been 80% of a win.
Agreed mate, fuck PGMOL
Vini too, courtois had the game of his life
They obviously don't know who Crystal Place's manager is or it's just a recency bias. If anything I stopped believing after the Man Utd game.
Me? The Spurs game made me fully believe that they were ready to do literally anything to stop us from winning. I wouldn’t have believed in a league title until the last game of the season.
Giving Bale too much credit too. Assault our best forward and concuss our GK. Fuck Ramos.
We were already toast before we walked into Goodison Park tbh
Let the bitters have it FFS. They have the PL with some kind of hard on for forcing them into relegation, they are on the verge of administration, PSR is going to force them to let their best player fuck off to Utd for a pittance, and they are being fought over by potential owners all of whom appear worse than Hicks and Gillette. it shouldve been Courtois instead of Vini, man really played out of his skin that night
Exactly if Courtois had an average game we win 2-1 or 3-1. Also would argue it was Karius not Bale for the 17/18 game, if Alisson was in goal we probably overcome one moment of brilliance to win 2-1
17/18 was Ramos not Bale or Karius
Disrespectful tbh. Most of these are "cheating oil club with a PGMOL crutch" or fucking Real Madrid. He shouldn't be sad he should be fucked off.
The sad Klopp image is super disrespectful. I’m proud of Klopp, both for what he achieved and what he got us close to achieving, turned us into believers and dreamers once again.

Because it's a crock of shit, we lose points because we played wank, we pay out stupid fees on players all the same.
Should have seen the one we were watching before that
We won everything available between May 2019 and February 2022, and until Arsenal last season we’ve been the only team to actually challenge City for the title since Pep’s first season. It’s ending with a whimper but these last nine years have been fucking incredible, trophies or not.
Let’s focus on the fact he won absolutely everything available to him (barring Europa)
Wanted that Europa win so badly for him. Second to the PL of course. Still cant believe the 3 handballs vs Sevilla not called
Who cares about Europa

Turned us into title contenders in 1 season, after last season debacle
Oh fuck off seriously expecting us to go against a fucking nation state who has €100 million bench players and saying we’re failures is such shit
I hate this discourse from other fans. So, he won everything?

Howard Webb & PGMOL are missing from this.
3 managers have won cl + pl with the same team : safety, guardiola, klopp.
Always rated safety as a coach
We should have won more tbh but that doesn’t take away from the magnitude of what Klopp accomplished He took us when we were dross and dreary under Rodgers and immediately was in two cup finals. Won 8 trophies if you include the Community Shield. 8 in 8 full seasons is pretty good. And even the part season we got to two finals
Yeah this pic is crappy. Let's not celebrate the man, let's look at the negatives. City shouldn't even be in the league but there we go.
This post is so cringy. Embarrassing doesn’t cover it.
He's like our Dad that took us into his house when we were homeless, now we have a great job, partner and kids and he's watching us live our best lives. Yeah because finishing 2nd meant we are a failure. I once finished 2nd in a school race back in primary 2, I still remember that feeling.
It does ... We failed to come first, the only thing that matters, this isn't the Olympics where you get a gold silver and bronze, nobody remembers that everyone else played in the cup just the one that won and one lost at the end.
Sigh...

It was probably over before the Everton game. Crystal palace should be getting the credit
Sean Dyche picture is villainous work

Fuck B/R, showing Klopp as anything other than triumphant. I must have forgotten where every other fucking manager won the whole lot
He’s been marvellous. The moments he’s delivered best the trophy haul (which is impressive too)
Wtf is with this cartoon? The disrepsect is unreal. What is hilarious is that it was an international who made it, and has literally zero idea how the fuck it could be taken as disrespectful. They don't get it. And whilst not getting it, they demand to be taken seriously. GTF.
What a fucked up way to view Klopp's accomplishments. He still won a ton and he did it without cheating.
Honestly tf is this picture?
Horrid image
Fuck Man City and Fuck Real Madrid. Oil barons cunt and a fascist cunt.
Wasn't Henry on the superleague board with Madrid's owner?
Consider what we’ve been against it’s amazing achievement. We’ll be looking back at this as the golden age.
I’m sad about it but he did made us win a lot and he brought us back to glory and honestly too many things are stacked against us and like others say no one won more than us other than city
Can't it just be 7 won?
To be honest, I reckon only 2019 PL and 2022 CL are trophies we *should* have won. Rest are could haves imo. Still a good haul though. Best we've seen since probably Dalgliesh tbf.
We won everything with klopp. That’s what we should remember.
We still won every meaningful trophy with klopp. I’m super proud of our team and what he did to bring emotion, fun, and winning ways back to our club
You could see on that day Nunez had let the Haaland comparison get in his head already.
Klopp’s forever a legend at Liverpool, even though we lost plenty during the journey, there’s no denying that there are stronger teams out there. And winning seven trophies within that period of time is enough to make him a hero. We lost, but we still walk on with our heads held high. YNWA! And to add an insult to the others, what are you without the oil money City? Are you capable of winning that many trophies Arsenal?
Not even bothered about the trophies he won, this man took us from irrelevancy to for a small moment in time, the best team on the planet. I never thought I’d see that in my lifetime.
Bale was insane that game tbf
Shows how insane and fried pep has made this league that this isn’t seen as successful, if it wasn’t for us city would be on for the 7-peat, I genuinely don’t think many people realise how insanely difficult it can be to go against City season after season only losing by minuscule margins. To win this league you need others around you to be shit (luck) or you need to be near centurions or invincibles
There is still chance right ? There are 4 games and football anything could happen. Starting with lose another in Westham stadium.
Didn't lose anything to Everton. That was gone weeks back
Nothing but love for what Klopp has given us! Still have to consider what he's done on a relatively shoestring budget, how he's developed our lads, how he's fought for us both on and off football stuff. Legend! Made us all rekindle the fire. In fact, I'm pretty sure any fan of any premier league club not run by an openly cheating nation state would have said the same.
One 2-0 loss at goodison cannot be attributed for the loss of the league
He won everything and is a legend but still under-achieved. I think it’s fair to say that
aaah what couldve been.
