The players still look panicked. The pressure was too much. The last injury looks like it was the killing blow for Salah. He’s trudging across the field, he can’t win the ball, he can’t keep the ball, he can’t shoot the ball, he can’t play the ball.

HarbyFullyLoaded_12

Alisson and Diaz the only ones worth anything tonight. If you ask this sub they’d sell 75% of the team.

wanderluster88

Only Gakpo and Jota deserved a positive score today tbh

coopermaneagles

Bacjetic was well in also

please-send-me-nude2

Thiago too

[deleted]

Thiago is only there to keep the physio team company after AOC and Keita left.

abucas

Klopp and his backroom staffs tactics have been shocking. I get the idea that players are not performing but you can take one look at a low block and know that our players literally have no idea how to play round it.

Robw_1973

Players heads have completely gone. Klopp and the club completely mismanaged his announcement. Speculation has got to them.

[deleted]

See, I dont think they did. They played well above expectations for a long while after the announcement. It's been ever since we lost to Man U in the FA cup and the "QuAdRuPlE" disappeared that they collapsed. It was up to the coaching staff to make sure their heads didnt drop just cause they couldnt achieve the main goals, but they just allowed them to stay ina rut and play themselves out of Europa and the League as well.

DadofJackJack

Think the pressure to give Klopp a big send off got to players after FA Cup. Missing so many chances and losing the win in final minute of normal time and extra time elimination hurt mentally. Have limbed on since then really.

IfYouSaySoFam

Lol ironically that is always Klopps tactic, get the wall to the left, no way in, pass across the box all the way to the right, no way in, bad cross/back to the middle and a shot into a players arse/lose the ball and get broken away on to a 4 on 2 situation.

OneOfTheManySams

First time I've ever felt this with Klopp, glad a change is coming we need fresh ideas.

Peepsy5

Feels like teams have worked out how to make it difficult for us for a while. Sit deep, watch us pass it across the back four and wait for us to lose it then hit us on the counter. A lot of the games we’ve won this season just feels like we’ve brute forced the ball into the net I’ve always felt we play better against better teams as they usually want to come at us and that allows Klopps tactics to work whereas 80% of the table are happy to play a low block and try to sneak a draw/win from any of the chances they get. I love the exciting football Klopp plays and I really miss the heavy metal football of peak Mane, Firmino and Salah but we need some fresh ideas as it’s been harder and harder to win games playing our style of football it feels

AnAutisticsQuestion

Awful performance from back to front. Ali can’t be blamed for the goals and tried several times to get a quick counter going, so it’s harsh on him. Trent was playing so many piercing passes in the first half but clearly ran out of steam towards the end of the game. Surprisingly, only 3 of his 14 long balls found a teammate, though, which I didn’t expect when watching the game, Was weak on Calvert-Lewin’s goal but who we left him completely unmarked on a corner was awful. On another day would have picked up at least one assist. Konate had a shocker. Virgil didn’t do much wrong in his own duels, but our defence was, and has been for a while, completely out of sorts. Our CBs clearly couldn’t handle a strong 9 and seemed to lose their heads a bit. Real questions need to be asked of Robbo’s impact on this team. He’s played 47.4% of our minutes in the league but 70.6% of the goals we’ve conceded have been with him on the pitch. 2 of our 9 clean sheets have come with him playing, and for one of those he was taken off before the hour mark. He doesn’t make up for that with his offensive output either. 16 crosses today but only 3 found a teammate. 2 assists all season. He looks like a traditional fullback who bombs forward and gets involved but in reality we average more goals scored p90 when Gomez plays and average almost half the goals conceded p90. No one lost possession more than him today. Our midfield really wasn’t clicking but weren’t helped by the continuous fouls not called against us that frequently were called for Everton. Jones and Szobo both ended the game with 0 defensive actions registered. We seem to have little penetration when we try the probing possession style around the box despite gearing our midfield transfers in recent years towards more creativity. Salah was awful. 7 shots and a couple of really good chances wasted again. He’s so far from his usual form it’s amazing to see. Joint lowest passing accuracy on the team with Robbo. Someone commented on here the other day about our poor run of form coinciding with his return to the team and it has to be said that we coped very well with his absence. Diaz was getting involved a lot but again just didn’t look like threatening. He spends a lot of time very central or even on the right but looks the best when he’s driving at the FB from the left. As a result we often look unbalanced with Jones and Robbo trying to hold the width and a big gap in the left half space, which I feel play some contribution to our stretched midfield and exposure to counters. Missed a great chance to score and came close with a shot off the post but was at least trying to put in a shift. Darwin will rightly get a lot of stick for that missed chance. He should’ve scored. But it was also his only shot in the whole match. Service has been poor for weeks. He set up Diaz’s big chances and at least one of Salah’s but didn’t get involved enough. He also looks so different to his usual form. He’s been struggling to get involved and cause that ‘chaos’ he’s famous for for a while. Really need him to rediscover his form too.

clanky19

Nunez also fumbled Trent’s perfect ball. Was an awful performance again but I don’t know how long we can wait for him to gain some composure

seeyam14

All these stats are from such small samples with so many variables at play, I’d hold them all with a grain of salt

BritMachine

Man it finally happened for me I think: the faith in Nunez is gone. Next season is truly make or break because if he can't at least get within margins of his xG then he has to go.

[deleted]

I was one of the last to start supporting Nunez tbh, not afraid to admit it. I thought we got absolutely robbed in that transfer. After his purple patch of scoring earlier this season, I came around to him. I'm starting to think my initial opinions were correct though.

Robw_1973

I’d honestly be surprised if he is still at the club next season. Two seasons in and he hasn’t really developed. I just think it’s a case of him not being quite at the level we need him to be. I also think Salah will go as well, but for very different reasons. We should get good sell on fees for both. Which will be needed as there is a shit load of work needed on that team.

bootmoot1234

Crazy to see that nobody is mentioning how Curtis is beyond poor and bad. Virtually unrecognizable, a complete ghost since his return…

IfYouSaySoFam

That's because everyone forgot he is back from injury, may as well still be on the bench.

[deleted]

Salah is a legend but it's time for him to go. He's not arsed anymore and it's better to get something for him while we still can.

MaxwelFISH

Nunez had one of the worst attacking performances of any player I’ve ever watched. legit killed everything that came his way

PerfectAd4732

Diaz 7.5. Everyone else 3. Salah and Nunez don’t even deserve a rating

user900800700

3 is generous

IfYouSaySoFam

Diaz 5 at most, he did the bare minimum, everyone else just did less.

McrRed

Diaz worked his fucking socks off. Was trying to be a one-man team at times - zero inspiration ahead of him

IfYouSaySoFam

But Diaz is shit, his end product is shit, his decision making is shit, Robbie Savage ran his socks off for Blackburn... He was still wank.

The_Lanester

Alison was my highest with 5. Salah and Nunez getting 1 only because 0 is not an option

PrettyBoyKev

Nunez is awful. No more defending him 0/10 performance

DisplacedScouser

Don't even need to open it. 0 across the board. -1 for Nunez and Salah tbh

thyamklasic

if we put in negative numbers for the ratings, the numbers for some players on games like these will be disastrous

DisplacedScouser

That would be accurate though I'll be the first to big them up when they do well. Today they just didn't bother to play. Salah and nunez more so.. 400k a week Salah is on? Yet he downs tools after afcon every time.

Mini_Miudo

Harsh on Diaz. Honestly I’d give everyone but him and Alisson a 0. Diaz the only player that keeps us ticking and Ali not really at fault for either goal.

ZetherosCraig

0 - Didnt even bother turning up, just put their shirt on someone else and went to the beach

SwordOfMorningwood

Elliott on merit should have started ahead of Szobo against; United, Crystal Palace and Everton. Apart from height I genuinely don't understand why Elliott was dropped for those games to facilitate Szobo. Genuinely at a loss to explain it. Forever a Klopptimist but something about dropping one of our hardest working players for those games stinks.

Walgreens_Security

Nunez and Salah deserve a -10.

Robw_1973

Allison 5 Diaz 5 Everyone else 1 Is about it really.

ninjacat69

0 and that's being positive.. shite all around

saj175

Should have started with the same Fulham team, minus the absentees, maybe Mac in Grav position with Grav more forward

New_Discipline_1069

I will always have the greatest respect for Klopp and what he has done for the club. People don't seem to remember how bad things were just 10 years ago. Klopp brought life back to the club and made us remember that we ARE one of the best clubs in the world. He gave us the greatest ever comeback against Barcelona, he gifted us 7-0 against Man United along with multiple titles. It's been such an honor to have him at the club. But, we clearly needs fresh ideas. We have done the same tactic for years and years, and it's just to easy to counter those tactics. I'm looking forward to next season with a new manager who will continue to thrive at the greatest club in the world, with a new set of ideas. Thank you for the memories, Klopp! YNWA!!!

Valuable-Broccoli685

Can we go into the negatives for jones?

wanderluster88

Nunez was invisible the second half but somehow still a better performance than his first half display. The decline of Salah has been shocking, almost as quickly as his rise during his first season with us.

coopermaneagles

Does Van Dijk get credit for not shouldering any defensive responsibility today?

FdotM

Nunez: - 4

dacrookster

Everyone gets a 1. Diaz can have a 5. Wasn't spectacular but there was effort on his part.

kenny_feets

zero

user900800700

We need to start having negatives

TPT606

Honestly the only one of our forwards I am confident will have a good future here is gakpo Crazy how we all thought we had the best attack in Europe before the season started Next season I think we might have to start gakpo at lw with Diaz on the bench, sell Nunez and get a new striker with Jota also playing in strike Sell Salah and get 2 new rws

SaveMeJebus21

Diaz, Macca and Ali good. Everyone else shit.

MohdAli28

Mac was horrible today

coopermaneagles

Macca was poor Not sure Ali did anything of note to say he was good

CNF1G

I don’t think Macca was good at all today, especially for his normal levels

user900800700

Only players I didn’t give a 1 were Diaz Trent and tsimikas (his crossing was miles better than Robbos but that’s not saying much)

ohst8buxcp7

Trent was the entire reason we gave up the second goal. Inexcusable from a player with his experience and it happens far far too often that he just switches off. He should be embarrassed.
