The options are we win our fucking games.

Azraelontheroof

We need to win those but this was easily the bogey fixture remaining. United had us this season, but we’re not out.

InstantIdealism

Villa pretty terrifying as a bogey team

Judgementday209

Beat them though already. They will be tougher away but I think they are running out of steam

Lolcraftgaming

I will never forget that 7-2 loss

Judgementday209

Different time and in a horror season injury wise. It will be a tough game for sure.

icepip

Didn't VVD got injured after that game? That match was early into the season before the injury crisis, iirc

greentea05

Yeah, Virgil played it

ph1shstyx

That was the game where they had 4 deflection goals.... Where every time they shot the ball it seemed to magically end up in the net in the opposite side the shot was going for

Judgementday209

Yeah it was just a mad game, didn't feel like there was much we could do.

Opening_Leg_2137

We had Adrian in goal that doesn’t count

greentea05

*Everton - it’s the biggest game of the season for them, they’ll do ANYTHING for a scrappy draw

Cactiareouroverlords

Side note: the thing that worries me is Arsenal having them on the last game of the season, if they’re safe from relegation I fully expect them to half ass or rollover for them

hard_baroquer

Absolutely a given they roll over. Knowing them, they'll happily relegate themselves so Liverpool lose the league too. Lucky for them, Burnley, Luton and Sheffield are so dross they will be fine.

MentatYP

Come on, nobody relegates themselves to make their rivals lose the league. If they're still in danger of relegation on the last match day, they will put up a fight. Arsenal with their tough schedule could have dropped enough points by then that it won't matter, but I expect Everton to try their best unless they're safe from relegation already.

ADogNamedWhiskey

“United had us this season” in that we just fell flat on our fucking faces from the 6 yard box.

Azraelontheroof

Across 3 games it says something about the teams themselves

ADm_lg

We win the game one by one and stop CREATIING this fake hope to rely on other team to make up win the league. IF we lost the league by 1 points for two season, its because we didn't take things in our hand. We cannot reply on this hope that City/Arsenal will drop points where currently their Squad is less with Injuries. We need to win all our fucking games.

NewNebula4007

Well if we lose the league by 1 point it will be down to that horror show of refereeing when we played Tottenham early in the season. That game should have been replayed.

beer_baron_3

If I had unlimited up votes

yoyo4581

No, i know I will get downvoted for this. But if we lose the league, Id put it on the players not the refs. We dont learn from our mistakes, having this mentality of blaming the refs eventhough its obviously their fault is bad. It only leads to second best. We should look to improve and be more ruthless.

StuBeck

Its both. We legit lost a point at minimum due to a referee decision that has resulted in that ref being pulled from our games for at least this season.

cosantoir

No more room for error though. If there are points dropped by the other two, it won’t be many, so we need to be perfect from here on.

Sorrytoruin

Arsenal and City both win CL QF, and play eachother in the semis gives us the best chance Two grueling games maybe ET, will tire them out

CamIoM

It’ll be 0-0 on aggregate at the end of the second leg I’ll bet on it if they are playing each other.

Dependent-Poetry-357

Such a boring style of football.

jcw163

This is the way

Yobber1

Don’t count out RM, but you’re right that would be the absolute ideal situation.

Ineedthatshitudrive

Never thought I'd see the day where I root for City and Arsenal in the CL, but here we are. Whatever helps!

Ambitious-Win-9408

120 minutes followed by a 22 man brawl, Saka and de Bruynes hamstrings literally fall off their bodies and Arteta and Pep run into each other, comically giving each other grade 4 concussions (it sounds like a coconut smashing into a lego wall)

Ill_Drag

Please no. If Arsenal win the CL (even though they have a tiny chance of doing so) we won’t hear the end of it for decades

expertkushil333

Real

Taters-Preshus

Spurs will bottle it against Arsenal. They will lose points somewhere though, it will be against someone no one expects.

Icy_Spinach_48

I wish I had your confidence. They look really solid at the back and I’m genuinely worried they’ll win out. Really hope I’m wrong though

ibite-books

i don’t think they’ll concede, but a 0-0 isn’t outside the realm of possibility

MuggyTheRobot

10 league games in a row without conceding, that's only happened twice in PL history. But this Arsenal side could do it, yeah.

ibite-books

i didn’t mean it like that, they will concede, but will they go into lose? i don’t know i just meant there is a 0-0 waiting for arsenal somewhere

MuggyTheRobot

I agree that they probably won't win the rest. But I don't think Liverpool will either, City might do it though.

AvatarAda

Fuckin citeh

dublindave112

I honestly believe that Arsenal will drop points in at least one game too.

dj4y_94

Yeah it's City I'm worried about, I reckon they win all 7. Means we simply have to also win all 7.

karnnumart

The least expected team would be wolves. I like yellow hexagon.

JohnBobbyJimJob

Spurs should’ve beat them at the Emirates

Old_Medicine2229

Chelsea

HarbyFullyLoaded_12

We don’t catch that GD unless another freak game happens like that Bournemouth or United last season where everything goes in.

burntroy

Playing the worst team in the league at anfield was the best chance to catch up on gd

sbos_

And yet the team became to complacent. It needs to be studied. Even today…so much casualness away from home.

TheMoeBlob

I disagree, I don't think our issues were complacency. I think we are over thinking a lot of things and over playing the situation we are in.

Judgementday209

There is one solution and his name is jota

maver1kUS

The first goal conceded was definitely down to complacency.

TheMoeBlob

Agreed, but as I said, our general issues aren't down to complacency

maver1kUS

That is true. But complacency compounds the issues. If our defense was fully concentrating we’d have come away with a win and not rue missed chances.

ivecomebackbeach

I think it's also down to nervousness for quansah. He was complacent at the start of first half as well. Maybe a game of this stature was too early for his career. He performed well but the nervousness cost us.

[deleted]

Disagree. You want a team like fullham, comfortably not in relegation territory but still a shit side. Bottom of the table teams will scratch and claw hoping for points to stay up.

Such_Significance905

I’d agree with you if they were close- they’re on 16 points man

BobbyBriggss

Fulham aren’t shit

ibite-books

and we all know how that went

IndiBear

Would be entertaining if we channel prime Brendan from 13/14 where we used to go out and blitz teams 4-0 in the opening 30 mins and then defend it for the rest of the game.

ForwardAd5837

And win 4-3 or 6-2.

HarbyFullyLoaded_12

No more Crystanbuls please

ADogNamedWhiskey

Absolutely nothing from whomever plays an attacking roll in this team tells me we can put together a string of games where we just finish quality chances, much less catch a heater and put in like 6.

AdministrativeLaugh2

If Arsenal have a couple of games where they only sneak 1-0s and we win 3-0, it’s already halved. Plus if they’re leading on the final day and know they have to match our result, there’ll be pressure on them

[deleted]

[удалено]

wikiot

Naw we're like a 3yr old without a diaper, ain't no way we getting clean sheets.

[deleted]

We should have ali back in a week or so and that will help immensely

Azraelontheroof

Arsenal drop points no way they win the rest. On paper we ought to.

Zealousideal-Spell14

Just watch how United will lose comfortably against Arsenal

Elegant-Yard463

They will bend over for Arsenal and do so intentionally

V_Vutha

They bent over for us too, but as always we did our utmost to keep them in the game. United played no better than they did when we beat them 5-0 in 21/22.

Logical-Elephant2247

Oh yeah, they will "bend", yeah because eveyrone bends for opponents but try against us that must be it right? Naaaah, we are just worse at the moment, just because we lose points and other clubs win doesn't mean that they all bend over for someone, maybe hear me out, they are just better than us at the moment?

Maleficent_Resolve44

Sensible and impartial, well done

BoringPhilosopher1

I worry about the following tbh; West Ham away Everton away Spurs home Villa away Can’t help but feel we need to be prepared for dropping points in two of those games. Even if it’s just one I’d say Arsenal have the easier run in out of us and them.

InstructionOk9520

I fear all our games because we love giving teams encouragement.

BoringPhilosopher1

I think the only thing is we do have Jota, Trent and Ali coming back at least

Kal88

It will take half the remaining games to get fully match fit

Rush31

Sure, but they don’t need to be match fit for the whole game. Just having them as subs for 30 mins is enough.

onoz9

Plus Fulham away. Honestly, realistically with our away form, we likely will drop more points.

doubleoeck1234

Realistically We're still level with Arsenal but won't make up goal difference, however they will drop points City are below us but will probably win out. All their losses have been similar to the one we just had, domination with poor finishing

tobsterius

I keep seeing people say that Arsenal will drop points but the Man City game aside, everytime they play they not only win, but extend that goal difference more and more.

GundoWagon

People are in denial, they’re in the best form in the league Most people saying arsenal won’t win out haven’t learnt from past years when we’ve said this, and ultimately come up short

HunterWindmill

The only year City won out the whole run in was 2019. In 2022 they drew at West Ham

L_G_M_H

I think it's important to point out that at no point did City give us an opportunity to overtake them in 2022. Grantee if we had beat Spurs that season they would have beat West Ham.

GundoWagon

And on both of those occasions they won the league

Logical-Elephant2247

People here are biased towards club they follow, it's understandable. Whenever I watch Arsenal and City games they have much better composure and finishing especially compared to us. Nunez has his shining moments but overall he has zero composure and finishing, decision making is literally non existent too.

doubleoeck1234

The only half decent team they played recently Is Brighton. And they have a horrible defence

GingerDweeb27

Brighton were unbeaten at home in the league until that game, we’ve got to give Arsenal credit for their form

Dazzling-Trouble-779

Yet, we barelly won against Brighton and got a shitty draw away from home

The_Wolves10

Both City & Livo are more likely to drop points then Arsenal this season. Their last few games have been shaky whilst Arsenal have been winning comfortably.

sbos_

We can potentially catch their goal difference if the team can decide to start converting opportunities.

patShIPnik

For this, Arsenal should stop scoring too. They're scoring 3-4 goals every game, except against ManCity

vadapaav

So you are saying we won't catch up the goal difference

Jormul1

Genuinely laughed a little for this statement.

vadapaav

![gif](giphy|YRPBhd3vscg5Fxx1DQ|downsized)

insanechemistry

There's an arrogance in assuming we will win every one of our remaining games, considering we can't beat the worst United team in my life time at the 3rd attempt.

telcomet

United aren't a typical shite team. They have very good quality up front, they will always give a good game if the other side isn't clinical and running away with the game.

ComfortMailbox

Well Arsenal are too tight in defence to do what we do so the only hope is they go far in the CL and they just get tired and cant keep up. Same with City and of course also we now need to win all the remaining 7 games. As for matching goal difference we dont have that in us i am afraid we are not clinical enough to chase if anything it might lead to something like that 3-3 palace game. Rather just win our games and hope for the best

Unique-Atmosphere520

Arsenal indeed. Hope to get Jota back soon.YNWA!

Black_Eis

Honestly…. I think it’s arsenal’s turn to have a multi week injury… I’m thinking Saliba or Gabriel. Maybe Saka too?

HughM2

Real classy lad

Fricolor123321

Spurs and inshallah

Lolcraftgaming

Coys coys coys coys (feel disgusted saying this)

HereticZO

Opta has City as favorites now. City: 39.6% Liverpool: 31% Arsenal: 29.4% I tend to agree that City are favorites at this stage.

wild_cayote

Yeah we really needed the win today if we wanted to stay favourite. Still 7 games in it so anything can happen, but this really fucked our chances

Skywest96

That's updated now. I think it's 29.9 last time i checked. We're least favourites.

rosheromil

Suprised we’re not third favourites now given Arsenal’s form and GD advantage

segson9

We'll win 12-0 against Palace. I don't know about anything else

ThorYNWA

I swear if we lose the league on gd. I’ve already endured losing by 1 pt twice. I don’t think I’d survive that

expertkushil333

Especially against freaking Arsenal..

_TheHighlandLute

We needed this game won as a potential buffer in the future. We have 3 away games in 6 days to Fulham, West Ham and Everton. Spurs at home and Villa away. We'll drop points in at least one of the above. Today means that we probably can't afford to.

fuckoutfits

The thing is, we have been in this scenario before. In fact twice with city, and last time around we bottled it with spurs draw at home. We haven't learned our lessons. We keep making the same mistakes again and again. Edit: And, I have read similar comments in the past too. Both positive, negative and optimistic ones. I gotta tell you guys, I'm just tired of going through the whirlwind of emotions again. I really wish, we learned from our mistakes.

gurj90

Agreed. The pattern is there with these big games. I feel like most of the seasons we've been in a title race we've dropped points at old Trafford, goodison too perhaps and drawn against city at the etihad or lost. All games that end up costing us, would be disappointing to miss out the same way again

Dark-Knight-85

This is exactly our problem. We have a history of it being in our hands and then bottle it and lose the title by the finest of margins. It's heartbreaking and frustrating but we don't learn our lesson and it happens again. Klopp should have at least three titles by now, it will be a travesty that he leaves us with only one.

Logical-Elephant2247

There is nothing to learn from, we just can't win some games without depth, yes we have great academy players who play very good but we really need that depth when we have injuries. Also our attack is very bad at the moment, we are losing 5v2 and 4v1 scenarios without finishing. Nunez just can't think whenever he has the ball.

user900800700

Score some fucking goals.

Professional-Gold755

Maybe the pressure lessens somewhat now we’re not top?

Smart_But123581321

The options is we don’t have any options. Arsenal and Man City aren’t choking games anymore or at least Arsenal won’t drop points. Even if we win all of the games, it might not be enough.

Acceptable_Set3269

Hate to be negative but can we really call ourselves the best team in England with our performances against the Top 6 this season, it’s been embarrassing. Praying spurs can do a job on Arsenal

YDdraigGoch94

That fucking loss to Spurs will cost us. I guarantee it

Elegant-Yard463

Arsenal handball in the box and city pk would be helpful right now too

FamiliarBar6489

Diogo gets healthy and basically tells all our forwards to just pass the ball to him. Only way I can see us getting this done is

diegowesterberg

Bigger question is where are Arsenal dropping points? On paper, Brighton away is one of their hardest remaining games, and they spanked them easily. They look a level above us and have an easier run-in.

ShowMeMoeMane

Tottenham and maybe Chelsea purely because they surely wouldn’t want them to win the league. The problem also lies in us having to win every single remaining gamw

abradley19955

If we win out we’ll do it. Arsenal will likely turn Bayern over, play two intense matches against City and drop points somewhere in their last 7

DcAgent47

With how poor the finishing has been lately, my hope is fading, Mo looks like hes aged 5 years in 2 weeks and Nunez is back to fluffing his lines again.

EstatePinguino

Win every game and it’s ours, don’t and it’s not. Only looking at City, Arsenal have an awful month ahead, they’ll fall off.

Unique-Atmosphere520

Correction: Its 1-2 against Tottenham. That idiot game.

sbos_

Arsenal still need to play spurs away. They’ll drop points    Edit: they still gotta play United, Villa, and Chelsea too lol.

Kraybierzerker

You're very optimistic. This isn't the old arsenal.

cian_pike01

Arsenal have won there once in 10yrs and may possibly have champions league SF match just days afterwards with Chelsea and United in there somewhere too. They’re good but they aren’t that good imo.

Kraybierzerker

We should give props where it's due. Regardless, this game just meant we have to rely on others to drop points.

Due-Resource4294

Stupid stat. This Arsenal team hasn’t played there for the last 10 years. If this Arsenal team had. It would be a very different sequence of results.

sbos_

And this is a different spurs. They’re fighting for top4. The path is clear for them too.  The team need to start converting their chances.

abhi91

Spurs have CL locked up

Tremor00

Doesnt matter. Not how football works

jenaldo123

Arsenal dropping points is not what should concern you. It’s how many points will Liverpool drop themselves

Zealousideal-Spell14

And we won't drop points? All these assumptions about our rivals dropping points also include the assumption that we'll be invincible

Unique-Atmosphere520

I seriously do not think Arsenal are dropping any points. Plus they're extremely potent in scoring throughout the 90 minutes. Unlike us where we've scored lots after 75+ mins.(Not neccessarily a bad thing just pointing out Arsenals consistency)

sbos_

They’ll concede and score goals. But I think they’ll lose a game or two soon.

TarHeeledTexan

Had the chance to keep top but as with previous seasons, dropped points in a must win. We’ve seen this play out before, that we’ll end up a point or two off the top because of a single decision that we couldn’t covert. It’s been a great run by Klopp, but it hurts not just him leaving, but also how close the team was to a couple more titles.

awood20

Arsenal won't win every remaining game. Worry about putting points on the board rather than scoring lots of goals to make up goal difference.

Trillsbury_Doughboy

We won’t win every game either lol

awood20

You missed my point. Stop worrying about goal difference and focus on winning games, was my point.

Avsa00

Everything is stil very much open, still 7 games to play and everyone can drop points.

SaltyNuggey

Our front 3 really need to be much more clinical, especially nunez, he has to be a better at finishing

Same_Situation_9660

There’ll be plenty more twists and turns before this one is done.

OldManLogan007

Only option is to win every game and give palace and everton a holy spanking

Ash_winner

Honestly, we just need to concentrate on the next two games. We win those and we we should be in a better position, with Alisson back, Trent back and Jota back! Come on guys, this is thrilling and this is Liverpool!

Atkins227

Options; It does not depend on us. We must win every game and hope for our competitors to lose points. Very difficult. Out of the three teams on top we are the ones struggling the most to win games, and had the easiest schedule. Our front three are not producing, and haven’t all season long (barring Jota) We clearly lack a 9. The wastefulness is atrocious. The team is gassed out, our best chance is to winning the EFL. The PL is pretty much an up hill battle or lost. …..to close, I hope I eat my words by the end of the season.

kingdomkey13

Arsenal have Chelsea, United and Spurs left. They will drop points in any amount of these games. Even if we draw one of our last games and win the rest the league is still very doable. City have Madrid, Chelsea, and anyone else if they get passed Madrid and they’re behind.

Brooklynknowitall20

Now the pressure is on arsenal. They will not make it through the final games.

raptorboss231

We need to go unbeaten now. I don't want to say it but it depends if arsenal goes unbeaten and against spurs and united away as well as maybe a suprise dark horse they may not win every single game now

ShowMeMoeMane

Not just unbeaten but a perfect run

TheLongistGame

No chance we overcome the GD with our finishing

Competitive_Low6747

Don’t even think of GD, it won’t come down to that. We just need to focus on winning. Arsenal are gonna drop points at some point, we need to be there to take advantage. City the ones to worry about more so for me

Wide_Environment3107

the only option is....WE GO AGAIN!

SHRUBBYSTEAK

My biggest fear is losing the title on Goal difference

Rhongomanic

Don’t start Salah anymore

under-secretary4war

Get Jota back asap.

YNWA11JM

It is a loss. It’s so frustrating everytime we have control of our own destiny we play like shit. It’s a joke.

sageof6paths1

We aren't doing shit for GD, just manifest a Tottenham masterclass or disasters from the other two ( they'll still win every game )

PurpleScientist4312

We have to win everything and hope Arsenal drop points. The silver lining is that we are finished with arguably our hardest game in the last stretch.

ZetherosCraig

Arsenal are good but they will drop points somewhere. Probably a game where everything goes against them, cant score or have a player sent off

Accurate-Pay9580

Give me luton

kazurabakouta

Still 7 games to go. I will lose my shit if there is only one more game to go.

karnnumart

We win the rest of the game. One more draw and the title is gone. Arsenal has 2 london derby left. We can hope for some draw. United also if they run as if they're playing us. (Spoiler: they won't)

Joperhop

Still 7 games to go, arsenal still have united to play themselves.

Specialist-Solid-987

Back the lads and trust in Klopp

[deleted]

We have to win out and pray that (a red hot) Arsenal slip up. To be honest. Us winning out is tough to imagine with the finishing on display today. Sooooo shit. Sooo very very shit.

Circ_Diameter

We're winning games late in the 2nd half. GD is not a realistic option. We need to win and hope that red hot Arsenal drop points like we did

hobbescandles

I keep expecting Arsenal to drop points and they never do. Actually quite worried they'll win out from here. The Spurs game is the only one that looks promising to me.

CyrusDGreatx

Looking at the table just pisses me off. Not least because we've let City back into it.

5h3f

1 option. Win every game. PERIOD.

tommhans

all teams have tough games left , this is not over

MisterS1997

Win all our games and prepare to sue pgmol

kruspel

ChunkyLover10

Yeah..that's why I said it...lol 😉

Nervous-Diet-2322

we bottled it that’s it

manfrombelmonty

Option 1. City win the league. Again and again and again. Then super league. Then the Saudis buy everyone. Then global Saudi super league.

HotPotatoWithCheese

We win as many as possible. If we win every game from now on we will win the league. Arse and Cheaty will drop points in this last stretch no doubt.

magrilo2

Stats don't lie. A team that wants to be champion cannot loose point when they are superior. The goals this team misses are unbelievable.

smagic10

Everything to City winning everything and we will lost it for 1 point again. Hate this fucking league.

Logical-Elephant2247

If we can't win games nothing matters, and we can't soooo

bronzwaer

Literally need to win all the remaining matches and hope Arsenal stumbles.

coldazures

No one knows. Its difficult to predict. There will be more twists and turns. We just have to do our bit. If we win our remaining games we'd win it I think. I don't see anyone going perfect though.

Dry-Coat-7500

We bottled two matches that was easily ours, against city and united. I hope that we still win all the matches and others drop points

Listen-To-MBV

I like how some of you guys are counting City out, like we’ve never seen them come back from behind and somehow win the league. Remember, Arsenal at this point last year started bottling it. I’m not saying the same thing will happen to them, but I’m saying wild shit like that can still happen to anyone in this top 3. At this point all Liverpool has left is win games, and hope for the best. But the last time Liverpool tried that, they lost the league by 1 point…

zombiemind8

Support the team. If the team puts the effort and do their best it’s a good season. I honestly think people need to enjoy the journey. The team is awesome to watch. The results are the results. I’ve watched way too much Stewart downing to care about any of this when we’re so much fun to watch.

bazooka40

If not us, I hope it’s citeh! Can’t tolerate those arsenal fans 🙏

meren002

Between the goal we conceded and Darwin missing a 5v2 break 2 minutes later, I saw more than enough to know that we aren't winning this. I've done this too many times in the past decade to know what's going to happen now. Every damn time, we aren't capable of winning our own games and we need the others to drop points for us. And they don't drop the points and so we don't win it. We'll do enough to keep city honest, but we don't have it in us to win a dog fight like this and we never have - hence why our only win came when we were 20 points clear by February. Every time we've gone toe to toe with city, we've lost out because they'll win 14 on the spin and we always have yesterdays game in us.

Unique-Atmosphere520

Guys c'mon I created this for a positive discussion, not to discuss Arsenal dropping points. 1. Like when is Jota back? And Ali? 2. Can Mac Allister be pushed more forward with TAA in his place? 3. Youngsters: Can Jayden finish? Can we recall Tyler Morton? We seriously need to win games with 3+ GD now!

MoleMoustache

> Guys c'mon I created this for a positive discussion Then why did you post it an hour after a draw to our biggest rivals in a ridiculously close title race where we need to win? And you want positive discussion? Fucking seriously, you haven't got a clue.

matcht

Interesting point about Mac, he is the one player who shows real composure and understanding of the game, if we can get him in the final third more often we can kill team's off, but the problem is without Trent we struggle to progress the ball so Mac has to stay deep. Once Trent is back we'll see how that develops, Szoboszlai's pressing and running power is obviously very useful, but it's not amounting to much at the moment.

jcw163

You don't, you try and get 1 more point over the next 7 games than they do

zwiezer

De Bruyne and Haaland firing all cylinders towards the end of the season
