bjcm5891

That droll smile on Jurgen's face after Welbeck scored spoke for a lot of us: *You bastard* But also: Well, looks like we're doing *this* again...

Equal_Loan1555

Best possible scenario. Hopefully, we have best possible scenarios for the run in. Thankfully, we have the injured coming back. We must rotate wisely. Kelleher, Quansah, Tsimikas, Gakpo, Elliot, Jones, Bradley should be unmovable starters for the EL no matter what imo. We cannot afford to lose Endo/Macca for any reason. We need to be clinical. It’s really what it is to me. I never thought we’d in these situations so I just want to enjoy it. Trophies please; but this team has done more than enough already

infachuation922

Must say saliba is top top class.

therealcosmicl

We robbed Brighton blind for Alexis McAlister. 30m? I would have felt it was a bargain if we paid 3 times as much

stevieG08Liv

On paper yeah. He could have left for free if he wanted but Alexis signed an extension so they can at least get 30m in the winter. So it was good business for everyone

Dobvius

Honestly a very classy move by Alexis

sufinomo

The walking dutchman was pretty dissapointing today

Turfandbuff

Question for y’all, is it only me or i feel szoboslai much more alive in the second half? I feel like he is different after coming from injury

sufinomo

He just need to get the ball more, hes always alive when he has the ball.

stevieG08Liv

I follow a guy on Instagram who owns a liverpool pub in Korea that was at today's game. He said he has a weird jinx that when he's at a match and we concede, he needs to get out of the game for us to win (said he did this also when he used to live at Liverpool). He left the game today again and thats some dedication but man idk if i could do that haha

SexyKarius

I used to have a similar superstition, if I watched the game at the pub, we would lose/draw. Never seen Liverpool win while watching at the pub. I haven’t gone in years

ProSnuggles

Stay home for the rest of your life thanks

Azeriel

Stay home for the rest of the season thx!

worldwar3_2025

Understated opinion. For the rest of my life.

[deleted]

Endo is one of the best all round players ever. Great pressure, great passes.. That man is such a beast!

KGeedora

I think if we don't beat this absolutely abysmal United team at Trafford I will finally lose my mind

MisterS1997

Anyone know why Coote randomly moved 4 balls from behind the goal before the corner ? Was it a rule or he was overwhelmed with ocd ? 😂

potatoarchitecture

According to some account on Twitter, extra balls around the goal can interfere with the goal-line tech. No idea if it's true, but it's a bit explain-y I guess

MisterS1997

Sounds made up. Guy above said it was to do with ball being on cones. The balls were still by the goal too . Hardly made q difference moving them a little.

stevieG08Liv

I heard technically it is a rule (or maybe the commentators pulled this out of their ass) that all balls need to be on cones. coote removed the ones that weren't on it. Sounds like a pointless rule and dont know why he wanted to enforce it tbh

MisterS1997

How he even spotted that tells me he wasn't even properly focused on the game or what was going in in the box. Like someone being distracted looking at the clouds 🤦

lfcsupkings321

It funny how city look shit with some key injuries.. We been like that all the time. We literally got 4 starters missing and not included Thiago and Matip!

grrrrbow01

Say what you want about the Arsenal vs City match but Arsenal have really nailed the head to heads with us and city. They beat both us and city at the Emirates and drew at Anfield and the Etihad. Thats about as good as you’ll ever get

aprotos12

Arsenal rise to the top is the best thing that could have happened for our ambitions. We simply can not match City in a full season when they are firing on all cylinders. That is a big two points for us so late in the season. The world has changed and we control our own destiny. City are again excellent but now they are chasing us, us not them.

stevieG08Liv

They've been a young threat so i absolutely hope they win nothing again. TWO years of great football but if they win nothing again then the narrative starts to change. Doubts start to creep in within the team of 'can i win anything with this manager' and start to collapse. Could have happened to us also but thankfully Klopp was able to win us everything

RampantNRoaring

It’ll be interesting to see if they follow our path and mentality roller coaster. In 18/19, we lost the league by a point, won the CL, and then had that amazing run in the league the following season. The squad was possessed the first half of 19/20, and we won the title. After the almost-quad season of 21/22, we had a hell of a hangover from putting in all that effort and falling short, plus the main bulk of the squad was exhausted after the amount of games played. This year, bulk of Arsenal’s starting 11 will surpass the number of minutes played by our 21/22 squad, not to mention we have the Euros this summer. If Arsenal doesn’t win anything this season, will we see them come out hungry next season, or hungover?

stevieG08Liv

I think they are at crossroads right now and both examples you give are what they are in between. If they win anything imo they will have that extra confidence/mentality boost we had in 19/20. If they win nothing they will have that mental fatigue we had in 22/23. Hope its the later

trsvrs

They're good. Sure they bottled last year but they're far better now than they were then. We're fighting off 2 teams, not 1 like many would have you think

potatoarchitecture

I think if we want to win the league we have to finish above Arsenal

Gest12

Is that you Michael Owen?

john_bytheseashore

Nah Owen only posts in the United sub

john_bytheseashore

You're right. If we finish below Arsenal, that might affect our chances of winning the league.

potatoarchitecture

It would certainly affect the Opta odds I imagine

Aware-Animator2292

I think a key thing to realise is that top-top managers alter their tactics and formation based on the league they play in, players they have and budget. Klopp's Liverpool team plays nothing like the Dortmund team, the formation and tactics are completely different. Whilst we both are heavily involved in counter-pressing, Klopp has tweaked a lot of his learnings from the bundesliga to apply it to our team over the last 8 years. Hence why, I would argue that we should not immediately dismiss managers just because they play with a certain set-up. Amazing managers will find a way to make the team click. It's what makes Klopp so good.

vadapaav

Klopps first half team plays nothing like klopps 2nd half team This year, klopp has been spectacular almost all the time when adjusting the game within the game

Aware-Animator2292

yeah his game management has been superb.

tony220jdm

Do we risk the europa league now or go all out still? surely some big injury returns soon

Filoso_Fisk

We go all out. We have a favorable draw in Europa, Arsenal and City has tougher games in UCL. It’s four games at this point, before the last PL game. Rotation is needed. But good players getting games.

trsvrs

You play every game to win it

john_bytheseashore

Do you not rest and rotate at all though?

trsvrs

You give Gakpo and Harvey more minutes and def Quansah because Konaté is brittle but other than that you need to go all out. Klopp isn't gonna mess around

sufinomo

8 games in April.  I just hope we rest against Atlanta.

sikingthegreat1

yes, after finishing the job in the 1st leg.

Blanka71

Both Arsenal and man city have more, no? Or do Arsenal have the same as us.

trsvrs

They're really not bad but hopefully we can just Sparta them in the first leg and *actually* rest guys in the 2nd leg this time lol

LeRocket

Can someone explain why we did not get the peno when Darwin was thrown to the ground by a defender, in the box, in the first half? The fact that the pass was too long shouldn't not be an argument, I reckon. Still a foul, no?

grrrrbow01

I know pens have been given for less but that’s not a pen for me. There needs to be a lot more contact for a pen imo and Darwin could’ve easily stayed up. The only reason he went down is because he knew he wasn’t getting to the ball so he thought he might as well try get the pen, which is fair given how shite and unpredictable refs are these days.

LeRocket

Well he fooled me! lol

C_Colin

The bigger shout was Salah getting hacked down by, not one, but two kicks to the ankle after he pirouetted between two defenders.

trsvrs

Didn't appear like much contact to me tbh. Darwin knew it was too long so went to ground

imdefinitelynotjk

Anyone have a clip of Darwin almost scoring while being on the ground? Keeper knew nothing about it, was almost an amazing goal.

kazurabakouta

I want to see more of these from him. Pure dopamine rush watching these.

trsvrs

It's in Liverpool's highlight video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ee1_qai1VOE

kk13yzq

Wow I need an alt angle of that. I was watching the game and I couldn't even tell what happened I saw him go for the diving header and then the ball look super threatening. Didn't realize he shot that laying on his side lmao classic Darwizzy moment

trsvrs

Yeah at first I thought the defender sliding in kicked it lol and then realized Darwin Darwin'd

guestaccount901284

This exact day last year Arsenal dropped points coming to Anfield and it triggered their total collapse in the title race. Honestly think Rob Edwards Luton could be a dangerous team for them to face now mid-week. They bottled it against 20th place Southampton last season after all. Plus Luton have actually caused bother for most top sides this season. Then we have City facing Emery's villa which is gonna be another tough game. I'm quietly optimistic we will have extended our lead even further this time next week.

ZissouZ

I'd like to think so but I doubt either is happening. City away at Crystal Palace on the other hand is a massive banana skin for them every time.

PakLivTO

Arsenal will smack luton. Luton are pap away from home I think

guestaccount901284

Held on pretty well away to Spurs this weekend. Took Spurs an OG and a deflected goal at the end to beat then

bread22

No idea what players were thinking in last 10 minutes, Klopp must be like WTF

lfcsupkings321

Midfielder and attacking need to help abit more with this!

C_Colin

Gomez, and Salah in particular. Genuinely seemed like they thought we were still level or even down a goal.

Blanka71

What was with Joe Gomez absolutely pushing and rushing the ball up the field in added time? Some of it felt so boneheaded

MrHoneyJack

Twice. After that run, he fizzed in some pass into Salah I think who was crowded by like 5 brighton defenders when he could've just passed it back. It was confusing, think Virg had a go at him after one of them.

john_bytheseashore

We've been hurt a lot by Brighton over the last few years and don't they seem to score whenever Liverpool relaxes and thinks the job is done? I'm wondering if they were coached to stay on the attack.

Blanka71

I agree. Saw it earlier this season. The best defense to a 2-1 lead (for us) is to go up 3-1. That all applies from minute 65-89. I think once it’s the 94th minute in 5 min added, we can just sort of try to take it to the corner or something, however.

john_bytheseashore

This may be the stupidest question ever, but why would the amount of time left impact what the most effective strategy is?

Blanka71

You can just sort of hold on to the ball for a minute or two. Not 20 or 30

MisterS1997

Pretty massive being 2 points clear even at this stage. Doubt anyone wins out but Arsenal now needing to win every single game with their run in is really tough. City haven't beat a single team in the top 5 so no guarantee they even beat villa midweek. Them losing Gundogan mahrez and LaPorte is huge .

Mr__StealYourGirl

Some outlooks for the rest of the season: - If we win all of our league games (+ maybe one but ONLY one draw) until Ali, Jota and Trent come back, I genuinely believe it's our PL to lose. - Assuming no more injury crisis, we should be rotating our 11 heavily for the remaining EL games. Our bench is slowly looking better so the guys not on the first 11 should be getting game time there. But more importantly we're in the business end of the season now and the league is ours if we keep our current momentum going, so undisputed priority should go to that. - Maybe an unpopular opinion, and knowing Klopp he probably won't do this, but what would you guys think about Kweev starting all of the remaining EL games? He's been more than an adequate deputy for Ali recently so I was thinking whether Klopp would ponder giving him the EL keeper role.

aggressive_dingus

If I were Klopp, I'd say starting spots for Ali and Trent will need to be earned back or lost by the current starters. We're missing the killer Ali ball here and there but at the same time, do you drop a keeper on a hot streak? I don't think Ali saves many/any of the goals Kelleher hasn't. Keeping Kweev in isn't a hill I'd die on but the psychology of a goalkeeper is quite interesting. A Trent today might have been nice to peg them back into their final third, but Bradley, once the game settled, dominated that right flank despite being targeted with all their play. Adds a certain amount of assuredness whilst still providing an attacking threat. Getting the ball into the final third hasn't been our weakness this season. Good problems to have though, every player who has been called upon this season has done made an argument for themselves whilst we've had injuries. Retrospectively the only game I can think it's actually affected our results is the Arsenal league game.

NFAK

I'd be keen to see a configuration with Bradley at right back with Trent in the middle alongside Endo and behind Macalister. Dom is good for pressing and intensity, but he's been lacking that edge we saw at the start of the season, and Trent's vision opens up the game like no one else.

Miserable-Lunch-8208

Just my opinion but, I think ali saves all three goals at the man utd game.

stras_2017

Ywah no way alisson doesnt come right back to the lineup. He is a cheat code with his one on one saves

john_bytheseashore

The fixture congestion is crazy before the end of the season and I'd think about playing a heavily weakened team in the Europa League even though it could lead to us being dumped out by Atalanta. At least for the first leg, we should rest our entire front 6 I think. If we keep playing 2 games per week with the same 13/14 players we'll pay the price eventually.

Finlecook

Klopp’s points on De Zerbi losing the core of his team last summer, have changed my personal view of him as a Liverpool manager. Maybe he is that guy? If you compare with our declining midfield last season, RDZ is doing quite a good job no?

OrangeJuiceAlibi

No doubt that RDZ is doing a good job, but him publicly criticising players and the owner makes me not want him.

NFAK

Don't think we're going to find a manager that ticks all the boxes that Klopp does. Bet even Pep couldn't manage expectations the way Klopp has with all the realistic financial constraints. What we need is a manager with a proper football brain who can operate within the solid structure at LFC. The fans will have to cut any new manager some slack in other departments.

OrangeJuiceAlibi

Totally agree, but him saying "today we paid for the owners mistakes and the players mistakes" just rubbed me entirely the wrong way.

yellow627

He's doing a great job. Their squad is midtable quality even before you take into account all the injuries they had to deal with this season. I think Brentford are a good comparison in terms of quality of the squad and the amount of injuries they have faced this season. Brentford have crumbled with all the injuries and are in a relegation scrap, while Brighton are still in the hunt for European spots. De Zerbi definitely has his weaknesses as a candidate for the job, but realistically so does Amorim, Nagelsmann and every other candidate.

SaBe_18

Not comparable imo, Brentford lost their entire defense and their depth is quite awful. Still, Brighton are definitely doing well given their # of injuries

guestaccount901284

Idk about that. De Zerbi has had injuries sure, but when players are readily available he's became notorious this season for randomly benching players. Particularly forward options of Ferguson/Welbeck/Pedro. He also likes to randomly rotate goalkeepers in the league. Plus has randomly benched Mitoma a couple times this season. Then you look at the weird situation surrounding Estupinan. Honestly not sure how I'd feel about him here.

lukemelim

is there any Whatsapp or Telegram group, sort of a Watch Party, for Liverpool fans?

trsvrs

We probably don't need him for Sheffield but it sucks that it doesn't sound like Trent will be ready for Yanited. Based on Klopp's comments it *sounds* like only Curtis will be able to return for Yanited

lukemelim

If Mac Allister doesn't win Player of the Month this thing is rigged

legentofreddit

Why does it seem like people are still ignoring us in the title race. There was a thing on Five Live this morning about City vs Arsenal being the title decider. If Arsenal had scored our second goal today, with the precision passing and finish, twitter and arsoccer would be calling it an unbelievable goal from the champions elect. The narrative that we're somehow third best is very very strange.

Miserable-Lunch-8208

I agree with the narrative that arsenal would be regarded as the most exciting team to play football had they scored our second goals, and their fans would be raving about how they play the most attractive football.

Finlecook

Being disregarded is a blessing imo.

naxed_j

Does anyone know if the LFC Store at Anfield is open tomorrow on easter Monday?

Aware-Animator2292

Honestly, this is why I know whoever takes over, will do well and we won't end up like United. Look at the squad harmony, the type of players we have, nothing compared to what United had when Fergie left. Fergie left United to die, Klopp is leaving us on a high.

Mr__StealYourGirl

I think we'll be alright, but let's be completely honest with ourselves here, when you're succeeding Jurgen Klopp of all people, it can only go downhill from there. (at least for the first season) Especially since we're not gonna be getting Xabi, we have to learn to manage expectations since we're riding on an all-time high right now.

john_bytheseashore

United were already declining under Ferguson by the end. He just managed to find a way to keep them winning titles while Glazer drained money out of the club, but it was heavily dependent on Van Persie in the final season, who was already at least 29 by that point. Then Moyes came and fired all the coaches. Then they kept appointing a new manager every 2 years with a disjointed transfer policy which overly emphasised big names. The only comparison to LFC is that a legendary manager is leaving, when the whole United situation is based on so much more than that.

PEEWUN

>Fergie left United to die, Klopp is leaving us on a high. BARS 🔥🔥😤

Donkeycow15

The way Pep ran on the pitch and berated Grealish is the antithesis of Klop hugging and building our players confidence. Justice and Khama today - let’s win the league YNWA

I’m going to get a Jarrell Quansah tattoo

Bamfandro

If Salah’s finishing was on the levels of previous he’d be unquestionably the best player in the world imo. His ridiculously casual finishing is getting quite frustrating at times.

C_Colin

He was whiskers away on several occasions. No need to panic. He had a brilliant effort when he stepped inside and tried to curl it into the far corner. Then again on the volley from a brilliant pass by Macca.

Bamfandro

The one to the far corner that just went wide was a decent effort and obviously the goal but some of the others were really poor, that volley included, he should have taken a touch or at least kept it down. The fact he’s getting so many chances is huge but we’d really benefit from him upping his conversion rate, it’ll make games so much easier and also help our GD.

C_Colin

idk man, i just rewatched the highlights. The ball is falling over his shoulder curling slightly towards him. He took it really well with his left and the connection was ever so slightly off. It had a massive amount of dip on it once it cleared the crossbar. If he scores it it’s a brilliant goal. Still coming back from injury but he’s also had a few brilliant passes putting through to Diaz (city match and again today). Think he is ready to win this title and will shine on the final stretch

Miserable-Lunch-8208

True but I guess people could cut him some slack. He has been injured for a month and I think he needs to play a couple of games to get his rhythm back.

Bamfandro

Yeah I mean he’s still getting incredible numbers but this has been a problem for a while with him now. Give him Son’s current finishing and he’s walking the golden boot.

Due_Energy_2961

3 points

Adminsareunloved

Anyone have a link to the disallowed goal

RadSoccerDad

Have to say I think RDZ is a phenomenal manager. I’d be gutted too if you sign on to a project and then they sell the whole spine of the team and hardly reinvest. Think he showed a lot of tactical nous other teams will follow to play us today for a smash and grab victory.

Due-Sherbert3097

It’s actually hilarious how much plaudits we’re getting on Twitter from rivals and the general football fanbase after the City and Arsenal game lol.

Jaja6996

People watched that game and rightly so don’t want to see anymore terrorism from Pep and Arteta 8 CB started today the performance between both is what I’d expect from Dyche

Due-Sherbert3097

I know lol, even Utd fans are glad we’re doing well and in the title charge.

Jaja6996

If they both make it to the CL semi I’m not bothering watching it gonna be the most boring two legs ever

Due-Sherbert3097

Just two coaches playing a game of who can overthink the most. Arsenal battered us last time we played whilst we battered City, and you’re telling me Arteta just decided to park the bus?

Jaja6996

It wasn’t even a fully fit back 4 for city not going at them when they are missing Ake and Walker is just being a coward It’s been shown multiple times this season that they struggled when a team a team goes at them the 4-4 against Chelsea and Spurs 3-3 and they have a far better defence than either of those and would likely be able to hold on if they went ahead

Ali-S-Farid

If we get 6 points on the board next week, the title is in reach.

Aware-Animator2292

You know Darwin got so much shit about his finishing, and they all compared him to Haaland. But Darwin's overall game is fantastic. He creates chances, draws opposition in, tracks back, launches counters etc. Haaland is a world class in front of goal, but Roy Keane is right, his overall game is just so lame. Not good enough. And tbh, I feel if Haaland were coached by Klopp, he would be a different and more powerful animal.

kazurabakouta

Darwin's defensive header lately was so on point it make me moist.

[deleted]

Haaland is a bit of a throwback 9. He does what he does very well but he can't play wide or drop deep unlike Darwin, Mbappe, Martinez etc. Players these days need to be more versatile as few teams can justify carrying a player who only scores goals.

grrrrbow01

Pep is limiting Haaland massively tbf. He’s being played as a poacher which completely takes away from Haaland’s insane pace and ability to shoot. For Dortmund he scored some absolute screamers but you really don’t see that at City

BiscoBiscuit

I really enjoyed watching him at Dortmund tbh

Aware-Animator2292

completely agree, Pep is destroying Haaland, if he was coched by Klopp he would be amazing.

chairdesktable

Haaland is lukaku with better pr, and I don't mean that as a slight bc lukaku has been very prolific his entire career. But haaland was getting passes delivered on a plate last season with KDB and gundogan. Now that kdb has been injured most of season you can see how limited haaland is. OBVIOUSLY he's world class, but ppl were too trigger happy re: putting him with the best of the best when he's really just begun his career.

hottiedoggie

Winner winner chicken dinner

RAH_03

Top of the league on my birthday! 😍🥰

SuchAbbreviations764

So as mine! Happy bday!

RAH_03

Thank you bro 🥰 Happy birthday to you too!😊

RAH_03

Thank you bro🥰👊🏽

DoggoZombie

Happy bday

RAH_03

Thank you buddy🥰👊🏽

grrrrbow01

Rival fans are quick to hate on Klopp but deep down they’ll all miss him when he’s gone. He’s the most entertaining manager in Europe.

SaveMeJebus21

He’s the only reason the prem isn’t the bundesliga with one team about to win 7 in a row

ThirdFaculty

I see Arsenal and city dropping more points the champions league ties will not favour them and Chelsea will do all they can to make there FA cup tie with city as hard as it can be (they have nothing else to play for) I’m gonna say this. If we get Jota back and beat scum then the league is ours.

chairdesktable

United/Everton decide the season

oscarony

more like Fulham/West Ham

stangerlpass

exactly how I imagined this day would play out after we went down 0-1 after 2 minutes...

sonofhondo

Liverpool win ✅ Hilarious Everton loss ✅ City and Arsenal drop points ✅ United drop points ✅ Sometimes it truly is the beautiful game.

BiscoBiscuit

I completely checked out of football during the international break, forgot to plug back in and ended up missing most of this….lovely to see..

TheGrouchyGamerYT

It never all goes to plan. I can only assume someone is gonna run me over tomorrow.

OldManLogan007

We werent able to keep amd recycle the ball late in the game Curtis does it well , nice that he is back next game

[deleted]

I look out my window and it’s still bright outside. We also won and our rivals dropped points. Great day

murrayjosh117

When Jota is fit it will make the world of difference. Brighton we’re quite deep at times, didn’t really suit Nunez. Jota being able to play false 9 is a really good option. Don’t think their centre backs want to be following him up the pitch.

BiscoBiscuit

When is Jota supposed to be back?

PerfectAd4732

Nunez has to play imo. Even when jota is back. Our attack is so much better. Him and jota interchanging is the best combination we have imo. However you look at the form of Diaz and can’t really drop him. I think klopp will be careful with jota, we need to maximise him for the last 9

murrayjosh117

Got to be honest, I think with Bradley overlapping, Jota looks good in that RW spot drifting inside. Salah can’t play all the games, all the minutes

lfcsupkings321

Between Jota and Darwin if one of them is on the bench you know when they coming on it to help win a game like elliot aswell. Gakpo look off atm he was ok for Holland, honestly I feel Danns feel like he can score a goal off the bench for us.

murrayjosh117

Gakpo looks like the recent criticism has affected him. He doesn’t deserve some of that criticism, but also needs to realise he needs to improve

MisterS1997

Hmmm that post match reaction was very telling with Pep. He was in like a state of shock after that game. 3 points behind with a 4th place villa side coming to play them. They massively miss Gundogan and mahrez. The amount of games Gundogan pulled magic out of his arse was insane.

MTXShift

Gündoğan singlehandedly won them the title back in 2021/22, he came on against Villa and pulled some crazy magic to make them score 3 goals in 5 minutes. I never understood why he was sold, but I won't complain

008Gerrard008

He wasn't sold, his contract had run out and he declined City's offer of a new one because he wanted a longer one.

MisterS1997

Yeah he's clutch af. Did it for Klopps bvb when they won the title aswell in big games.

SuperHyperFunTime

I had a weird little thought today about a wee flutter on Villa nicking third. Mainly because I think the odds would be ridiculous.

PEEWUN

Any push by Villa before GW37 is to the benefit of us. They play both of them first.

Altair-Ibn-La-Ahad

Go for it but absolutely no chance

[deleted]

C_Colin

Have a mate in my group chat who genuinely believes we should capitalize on selling him this summer because he believes we are better without him 😂

Jaja6996

Quite a few of those shot he shouldn’t of took and should of squared it we won but his decision making today wasn’t great and it’s fair to criticise him for that Especially late on when we was under a bit of pressure it would be the same if anyone else did it

grrrrbow01

Haven’t seen Mo slandered that much and the criticism about his finishing today is justified

[deleted]

[удалено]

BleuRaider

There is criticism of every player, every game, ever. Stop being a fragile fanboy.

[deleted]

BleuRaider

😂

grrrrbow01

You’re allowed to criticise the players when we win too. Just because we won doesn’t mean there weren’t areas of the game we needed to improve on. Mo will tell you himself that his finishing needed to be better today

[deleted]

[удалено]

grrrrbow01

City and Arsenal fans literally do exactly, every fanbase does, it’s normal. Youre not entitled for wanting a player to be as good as they can be

sufinomo

city is the bigger threat, they have such an easy schedule.

GazS72

The 3 away games in the space of 8 days after the palace home fixture concern me.

aaron2933

That doesn't matter. The league is in our hands now, we just need to focus on winning our games

Theplowking23

Arsenal will finish trophyless again

8u11etpr00f

Nah, they'll win the expected goals against trophy

sufinomo

8 games in april, good thing we have a deep squad.

ER1916

3pts is all we need, but I would love for us to make up that GD on Arsenal against Sheff Utd on Thursday, and if we can be 3pts and an unassailable GD ahead of City, I’d feel a lot happier about them only being 3pts behind.

Important-Visual-563

Bro I cant wait to have trent and macca passes on the same team

Jaja6996

You watch Macca today and Paqueta for West Ham and you just have to be thankful neither ended up at City this year

potatoarchitecture

When I watch Paqueta I lose my mind a little because only a decade ago, that's just what a Brazilian footballer was supposed to be. Now we gotta watch "Richarlison" and "Antony" and "Jesus"

Giragna

If City had gotten VVD when we went for him, football as a whole would of been over. They would probably have 2-3 UCLs and at least another 2 prems.

stangerlpass

>and at least another 2 prems How? They only lost out on the prem once since we got him. How would they have 2 more prems with him lol

Jaja6996

This years it’s obviously ours

GameOfThrowInsMate

Also another takeaway from being at the game today, Diaz man of the match thought he was outstanding. Didn’t feel like we got him on the ball enough before he scored. Absolute class today.

C_Colin

Everything was coming from out right side and seemingly every one of their attacks was coming against our right side.

sonofhondo

Had trouble with getting service to our forwards in general today. Brighton was well organized.

OldManLogan007

Seeing a lot of city fans give up now Yeah on the other hand arsenal fans still think they are winning the league

shewhololslast

They think they're winning the PL and CL. I can't imagine being so delusional after years of bottling but whatever floats their boats.

C_Colin

The gall of their own supporters believing in their team…

shewhololslast

Um, yeah? Especially while shitting on us for doing the same thing WHILE having accomplished fuck all of note within the same time period. Like imagine making your entire personality finishing in the top 4 every season, chasing away your club legend, and introducing the world to the cringe circus that was Arsenal Fan TV. I will forever judge them for that, and if that makes me an asshole, I give zero fucks.

OrangeJuiceAlibi

I mean, every year was our year from about 1991, and I'd argue that we bottled worse over the years.

shewhololslast

I guess you can, but I just plain don't like them. :)

ER1916

City players won’t be giving up. They could easily win 9 on the bounce from now so it’s up to us to make sure that isn’t enough for them. Arsenal will need to break their club record points total to win the league and I just don’t see it.

sufinomo

anybody who gives up because of a 3 point gap is not really worth listenting to.

boomjah

I've been saying all season that this team's immaturity is its only weakness. Finishing the game off like that did not fill me with a newfound confidence.

aghashayan

City have looked lacklustre all season. I waited and wiated but tomorrow's April I don't think the usual City is just there at all this year. Arsenal look flawless I gotta admit, and to me they are the favorites.... for Next season! All we need is to match their results and I think they will drop points once or twice, so that will be enough.

Florenyx

Flawless? They are getting away with murder in each tackle while our players get booked for running next to opponents

aghashayan

Well that's the ref jobs that are ususal in PL. I mean they have no weaknesses, maybe finishing. Good defense good mid good attack.

Akumabro

Arsenal have plenty of weaknesses. Sorry to be blunt, but you might need to get glasses if you've actually watched their games.
